Chapter 20 - 18 Master Li Yun
"May I ask, Master, what are the effects of this pill you are crafting?" Doctor Xiao asked.
"You have something to say?" Master Li Yun frowned, his expression displeased.
For every alchemist, the pills they craft are ultimately a secret, not to be disclosed.
Doctor Xiao realized he had breached a taboo and quickly said, "Master, please don’t misunderstand, just now someone came by, and the medicinal materials he picked were quite similar to yours, only there were a few additional kinds. This old man was merely curious. Don’t believe me? Look for yourself, here is the list of materials he took."
Li Yun frowned and took the list. At first, he was indifferent, but as he read on, he grew more and more astonished; indeed, the materials listed were quite similar to his own, and there were several more.
Having been an alchemist for no short time now, his years of experience made him vaguely feel that the pills crafted with the materials on this list would be similar in effect to his own, but if those additional materials were added, the results might be significantly superior.
He immediately grabbed Doctor Xiao’s hand and questioned him, "Where is he? Hurry, take me to see this person."
Master Li Yun felt an urgency; he sensed this individual was no ordinary person, possibly a higher-ranked alchemist, and the precision of the quantities and ages of the materials on the list made him even more convinced of this.
Doctor Xiao was startled; he hadn’t expected the usually calm and unflappable Master Li Yun to show such excitement. Could this mysterious person in the black robe be a hidden expert?
