“Another Summoner?”

Chapter 199: It Really Was Frigg’s Fault?

Chapter 199: It Really Was Frigg's Fault?

[My dear husband, don’t tell a single soul it is me. It seems I am absolutely, undeniably your perfect Summons, haha!]

A massive wave of cold sweat broke out across Loki’s back and forehead. Out of all the cosmic, absurd possibilities in the universe, Fate had just slapped him squarely in the face with an iron-clad glove.

He had somehow bound Angelica Cross—the literal Origin Werewolf—as his final, ultimate Summons.

Lana, who fully expected him to summon the radiant Valkyrie Frigg, stared blankly at the towering, terrifying entity that had materialized in the center of the summoning circle. Instead of a warrior maiden, a massive, midnight-black 9th Circle Shadow Wolf Demonic Beast loomed over them, its thick fur swallowing the ambient light.

Looking at the immense creature, Lana turned her gaze toward Loki, her golden hair catching the dim torchlight. Her heavily pregnant belly shifted slightly under her gown as she frowned. "Loki, what went wrong? I thought with Frigg standing so close, and you both becoming lovers, it was as good as done?"

Seeing his gold-haired former princess wife questioning why he hadn't managed to successfully take her own Summons away from her was honestly kinda funny. It looked for all the world like he simply didn't want Frigg—even though he absolutely did.

Beside Lana, Frigg herself stood completely speechless. The tall Valkyrie possessed a breathtaking, voluptuous E-cup body, sharp grey eyes, and flowing golden hair that perfectly matched her master’s. She stared at the shadow wolf, completely stunned by the equally powerful, maybe slightly stronger Summons Loki had called instead of herself.

"Loki, I never felt your soul tugging me through my soul, what went wrong?" Frigg whispered, her voice laced with confusion.

Buzz~!

The air hummed with a sudden displacement of mana. As Loki turned to face the crowd, it was clear Angelica had no intention of letting anyone present discover her true werewolf identity. Because she had dispersed from the group the exact moment he summoned her, she immediately used her Swift Knight Blink Teleport while seamlessly changing back into her human form. Slipping into the very back of the gathering right where Shade and Sylvia had been standing, she smoothed down her clothes to act like she had always been there.

Baihu, Loki's Kyuubi lover, immediately noticed the sudden disappearance of the massive wolf. Her gaze swept across the courtyard, mirroring the confusion of everyone else. Realizing the creature was probably hiding in a shadow somewhere, she turned a knowing, cat-like look toward the Valkyrie.

"Frigg, did you by chance have sex with Loki?" Baihu purred, a teasing glint in her eyes. "That really might be the reason you couldn't be summoned... You might actually be pregnant, and pregnant souls can't be soul contracted."

The moment Frigg and Loki’s eyes locked, both of their stomachs dropped in sheer, sudden realization. Loki knew for a fact that he was the most absurdly fertile man in all of Myst relative to his power level. It might have really happened.

While Frigg and Loki were internally panicking, Loki felt a sudden surge of pure emotion bleeding through his new Summoner bond. Angelica was absolutely thrilled at this beautiful accident. Now, she would be called to his side in her true, undeniable form. Not only was she his wife, his lover, and the mother of their child, Nari, but now she was contractually bound as his most important partner until death parted them.

Frigg’s hand began to glow with a pale, chilling grey light, channeling the dark frequencies of her Death element. She pressed her palm firmly against her lower belly.

"Investigate, report, and find-out about a pregnancy. Diagnose!"

She cast her Healer spell, and a soft, pale green light covered her abdomen, pulsing gently against her skin. Suddenly, Frigg's grey eyes snapped wide open. Her hand trembled against her summer dress, and she spoke in a breathless, awed whisper.

"Impossible?! We Valkyrie can only get pregnant from beings with a Divine spark, like the Ghost Kings! Loki... you made me pregnant!"

Loki scratched his chin awkwardly, offering a sheepish grin. In his nine hundred or so years of life, Owen had never managed to get Skogul and Gondul pregnant. Yet here Loki was, achieving the impossible in less than a month. Oops.

"Frigg, sorry I messed up your chance to be my Summons," Loki said softly.

Frigg, currently maintaining her tall human form clad in a flowing, slate-grey summer dress, took a long stride forward. She threw her arms around his neck, pulling him into a deep, fierce embrace, burying his face into her generous chest.

"Loki dear, this isn't your fault, haah," she breathed, a soft laugh escaping her lips. "I was the one to push you down on Twister night, remember? I am disappointed I won't be able to serve you as your Summons, but now I can serve you as your wife, alongside Lana here. You already let me reach 9th Circle, the second Valkyrie to do so in history, and you put a baby Valkyrie inside me, I am absolutely happy, Loki... I love you."

Out of everyone present, the only person to notice Angelica’s little teleportation trick was the fellow Dark element user, Pandora. As Loki's perfect maid and devoted wife, she was very close to both Loki and Angelica, and she was intimately familiar with their magical signatures.

But as his perfect maid, she hid all of their secrets flawlessly. She glided silently over to Angelica’s side and whispered directly into her ear.

"Congratulations," Pandora murmured, her tone perfectly even. "But why didn't I get summoned first? My maid skills aren't good enough it seems... I must try harder to make Master happy."

Angelica wasn't the least bit surprised that Pandora had noticed her trick. Those who shared the same high Circle and element type were naturally hyper-sensitive to the activation of matching spells and auras. She turned to the maid with a triumphant, victorious smirk.

"Despite you being a Shadow Lord, your body and soul are still mostly Human, while I am no longer Human, so that is why, haha."

Pandora’s emerald eyes twinkled with sudden, quiet mischief, though her facial expression remained as flat and unreadable as ever.

"Well, with Loki pretending to be Owen, and Frigg pretending to be Gondul, with me as Skogul, you can now disguise as a female Fenrir!" Pandora suggested softly. "Then the Owen disguise will be flawless, plus he can actually summon you to his side for real this time."

Angelica’s eyes lit up at the idea, and she nodded eagerly at Pandora. "Perfect, let's make Loki do that, then I can be with him more."

Meanwhile, while his wives and lovers were crowding around Frigg to congratulate her on the incredible news, Loki felt a sudden spike of plotting excitement bleeding through his Summoner bonds with Pandora and Angelica. He glanced toward the back of the crowd, spotting the pair hiding and whispering in the shadows. His hunch was instantly confirmed. They were definitely up to something.

By the time the gathering concluded, the night had grown incredibly late. All of his wives and lovers offered their warm goodbyes, departing for their respective homes or returning to the hidden depths of the Demonic Sect.

Loki retired alone to Shade’s bedroom. He hadn't seen his second wife in quite some time, and she was currently just as heavily pregnant as Lana was.

Thanks to being a pair of high-Circle, semi-immortal creatures, their bodies required a mere two hours of sleep to fully function. Loki stayed awake through the quiet hours of the night, holding her close and recounting the entirety of his wild misadventures in the Neptune Kingdom, including the unexpected acquisition of his new Mermaid harem.

Shade lay quietly beside him beneath the heavy, white silk sheets. Her swollen, pregnant belly pressed softly against his side, her long, smooth leg draped possessively over his own. Though her expressionless face masked her deeper emotions, her slender finger traced slow, rhythmic heart shapes across his bare chest—revealing the profound affection of the silent woman who had known him for ten years as his fiance before marriage.

"And so, both Leandra and Ariel are both sad and relying on me as their fake husband..." Loki sighed, staring up at the ceiling. "I am so afraid of them falling in love with me, because they are hurt and confused, but I know in my heart that Owen isn't dead, and will come back, like a protagonist. So I am a bit nervous to play Owen during this upcoming Summer Council meetings."

Shade only looked up at him with her calm, pale blue eyes. After a moment of quiet deliberation, she spoke in a smooth, unbothered tone.

"Where ever you go, chaos and mayhem, plus pregnant women are left in your wake, so stop trying to prevent what will come with or without your worry... Just be the Loki I know and love. Now husband, let us sleep, your daughter needs me to rest so she can be born to see her daddy."

After Shade kissed his lips, she put her head back in his neck, smelling his scent deeply as she drifted off into slumber.

Loki stared into the darkness, a soft sigh escaping him. He worried about Shade sometimes, because she didn't care if he did good, bad, or just caused absolute chaos; she only loved him unconditionally, and for her, that was entirely enough. He then joined his wife to sleep...

The next fateful day, while Loki was being carefully smuggled to the castle alongside Frigg, Pandora, and Angelica, another prophesied event took place.

On the main street of the Albion capital, Loki's family was out, enjoying the beautiful afternoon shopping and browsing the colorful stalls of new vendors who had traveled from afar to sell exotic goods from the surrounding kingdoms.

The Vampire maid-concubine and adoptive mother of Nari, Andra Dark, Loki's mother Emma Rose, Lisa Swallow, Celia Breeze, and Ayala were out walking together, pushing the two young kids, Nari and Layla, in strollers. The sheer physical and magical power wielded by the majority of these women was more than enough as protection for the weak, fragile Emma and the infants, so no formal guards had come along.

Unbeknown to the group of happy shopping women, a pair of dangerous schemers who were up to no good were trailing them through the dense crowd.

Vali walked several paces behind, his hand subtly resting against his neck. Tied securely around his throat by a heavy gold chain was a legendary artifact: a scale of the Yellow Dragon, Huanglong, which he had personally retrieved from the treacherous Dragons Graveyard. The artifact pulsed with a dense, hidden power, effortlessly hiding his presence from others and disguising his physical form as a female shopper.

Although this powerful Dark element artifact possessed a unique shapeshifting function, Vali was an utterly terrible actor. Had such a treasure fallen into Loki's hands, the resulting chaos would have been terrible for Myst. For Vali, however, this amazing treasure had effortlessly brought his shabby, weak 4th Circle power up to an astonishing 7th Circle in a super short time. It was a cultivating miracle, though the constant, terrifying nightmares of the Dracolich Moon watching him made him incredibly nervous.

Wearing a full cloak to conceal her identity, Princess Diana of the Amazon leaned in close and whispered to Vali.

[Our promise is firm, get Layla for me, and the Amazons will back your coup. Now go while their guard is down.]

Even with his powerful new artifact humming in his veins, Vali’s heart pounded with anxiety. He stepped forward as casually as he could manage, steering his path toward the baby carriages. Activating the scale's unique properties, he slipped into absolute invisibility, intending to easily take the child without anyone knowing.

Diana hung back in the crowd, watching Loki's mother, Emma, with pure, unadulterated disgust. Under strict Amazon law, the half-Amazon child wasn't a kill-on-sight target—only the male Devils like Loki deserved execution.

While the women were happily trying on some women's clothing inside a bustling store, Vali walked softly, nearing Ayala and her baby carriage. But just as he drew close, Andra stepped forward and carelessly pushed Nari's baby carriage directly between Vali and Layla. The sudden obstacle forced Vali to inadvertently halt mid-stride, and he happened to look down into Nari's cart.

He knew logically that this was Loki's child, born from the hated Vampire woman. But the moment his eyes fell upon the infant—seeing the boy looking exactly like he himself had as a baby, save for the pitch-black hair and striking green eyes—something deep inside of him broke.

A horrible, sinking feeling gripped his chest. Completely forgetting about the abduction of the Amazon baby, Vali extended a trembling, invisible finger toward the infant and cast a localized Diagnosis spell on the child.

Life, Air, and Dark!

His stomach instantly turned with violent nausea. The feedback of the spell revealed a horrifying truth: this child was his half-brother!

[Kill it!]

An ancient, terrifying Draconic voice whispered violently into his heart. Vali, who was a schemer but fundamentally not a cold-blooded murderer, shuddered violently. This was the exact creature that had been haunting his dreams, whispering absolute evil into his subconscious.

In his panic, Vali failed to notice that the small baby's bright green eyes were actually tracking his invisible hand the entire time.

The exact moment Vali's mind flared with that sudden wave of killing intent, the baby's natural instincts as an Origin Werewolf violently kicked in.

Before Vali could even register the movement, tiny fingers sprouted razor-sharp, elongated nails. The infant swiped upward with terrifying speed, slashing deeply across Vali's hovering hand!

Swish~

"Ah, fucking hell!" Vali screamed in agonizing pain.

The sudden attack disrupted his mana, forcing Vali completely out of invisibility. The entire boutique fell dead silent as the illusion fractured, and all the women looked over to hear and see a random woman leaning over the baby, clutching a heavily bleeding hand.

Bang~!

Andra didn't hesitate for a single fraction of a second. Channeling her immense vampire strength, she immediately delivered a devastating, lethal punch straight at the intruder's chest. To her, the absolute safety of her King's children and lovers was paramount; the life of a suspicious stranger meant less than nothing.

The sheer kinetic force of the blow sent Vali launching backward through the air, his ribs cracking under the pressure. As he flew, his survival instincts kicked in, and he forced his mana to circulate quickly to cast his spell.

"Safe-Haven Portal!"

Pop~

In a sudden, violent flash of grey Death magic, Vali's body vanished from the exact place he landed, entirely gone.

Outside on the cobblestone street, the cloaked Princess Diana saw the sudden magical flare from the storefront. Recognizing that Vali had utterly failed, she turned on her heel and immediately fled the scene, dissolving into the crowd to ensure she wouldn't be identified for his failure...
