Chapter 97: Owen's Harem Is On Fire? by Harem-Fan

The next morning inside Owen's grand living-room...

Angelica was having her wine glass refilled by Pandora and enjoying the show.

Gondul was getting a stiff drink for her husband.

Skogul wasn't sure what she could do for her husband and Summoner.

Leandra was holding Owen's left-hand and rubbing it to calm his nerves.

Xia Bing, the Ice Queen, is currently doing her best to be as affectionate next to Owen's right, due to her son being chosen to be groomed back in the castle.

Ariel is still pouting in an armchair, eating candy, due to Owen not changing his mind about the Feng and Vali matter, not even giving her unborn Princess a shot.

But what is annoying Owen the most at this time, is the death-glares that Alice Dark and Xia Bing are sharing.

"So Owen my husband, let me get this straight. While I was busy being "scolded" for Vali framing me about the Love Gu'd Vampire Queen mother of mine, you not only didn't really punish him, but even gave his position to Prince Feng Balder..."

"Tell me Owen, why didn't Blade, who is stronger, more talented, born first, has a more prosperous Principality, and has the Death element like the past Kings not chosen instead of Xia Bing's kid? It is all about him being Human it seems..."

"Okay Owen, I understand you are under a lot of pressure with all of us here, but at least tell me why you picked Feng over Blade?"

The sad truth is, it is purely due to choosing between a Dhampir and a mixed Human.

He loves both sons equally, even more than Vali, but a Dhampir will never be fully trusted to rule the Human kingdom, even a Half Elf would be more tolerated, so he said.

"Alice honey, you know I don't discriminate against Vampires. I am married to and love you, right? Blade really is the best choice, but the north and south would never support him..."

"And if I could, I would love to even let Lana sit on the throne as well, but Feng is the better choice to try and groom, because he can be accepted by more citizens in their hearts."

Alice only sneered and pointed out his hypocrisy over the Vali, Feng, Blade, Lana, and Mermaid Princess struggle for the throne.

"My Mother knew your great-grandfather when he was just an upstart Hero. He was an Elf loving Human. Your grandfather, the first King, was a Half Elf, and my Mother knew him as well..."

"Your father was a quarter Elf, and my Mother knew him... And you, my husband, are an eighth Elf, and my Mother knows you too. Vali, a sixteenth Elf, is also Known by my Mother..."

"My point I am making to prove the racism here is the fact you are choosing Feng over even Lana, a Half Elf, like the founding King, due to race. The fact that my Half Vampire son with your blood can't sit on the throne is laughable to me..."

"Husband Owen, I am not satisfied with Vali's punishment! To sate my anger, you must either let Blade take the position you vacated for Vali, imprison Vali for humiliating me, or publicly lash Vali for his wrong doings..."

"If you can't do one of these three things for me, then stay out of my bed till you do what I asked."

Xia Bing spoke up to defend her husband.

"Owen as the king, cannot change his order, as it degrades the dignity of the throne. So Blade cannot be elevated now."

Xia Bing is actually correct, because the moment the Monarch makes a judgment, it can't easily be overturned without a valid reason, or no one would trust Owen or the throne.

So what was the difference between Imprisonment and Lashing?

House arrest is for framing Alice without bringing up publicly the other things Vali did, and Feng would still be in line.

Lashing is for leaking Lana, conspiracy, and plotting against royal family members.

Owen's heart was tight, because he was less concerned about the many demands, but to cut him off in bed was something that broke his heart.

He wants to imprison Vali to quell her anger, but that breaks the leadership of the East Principality order he made, so the only choice she is really giving him is a public lashing that damages the royal family reputation.

"Can you change the lashing request to another punishment?"

Alice's smile grew wide and her yellow eyes squinted.

"You think a few lashes is too severe for your little Prince Vali, huh?"

Flutter~! She turned her back to Owen, the Queens, and let her dress fall...

Seven lash marks criss crossed her back, each with a hint of golden energy keeping the wounds from healing rapidly.

Skogul received Owen's broken hearted mental request, and she cast.

"Repair Undead,<Greater Death Utility>!"

Healing magic spells like <Full Healing> isn't really from the casters element but true Life Element, and cannot heal Undead, who can only be healed or rather repaired by Death Utility magics.

The only known healing exception is the Summoner's <Heal Summons> spell, as it is soul based to the connected pair.

Undead cannot benefit from the spells Breath of Life or Raise the Dead spells.

As the strong grey magic faded, the wounds were still there.

Flutter~! Alice sneered at Owen and put her clothes back on.

"That is the difference between my Mother and Vali's Father... She can scold her child when they disobey. So my request for Vali's punishments won't change. And if you want to blame my Mother, then I dare you to go confront her for invoking Vampire law on me, her Princess."

Even Owen fears fighting Camila, who can use the <Rage> Knight power to be as physically strong as a buffed Fenrir, and can literally summon an army of the dead to cause havoc.

Fenrir can also use Rage, but Camila regenerates with her attacks draining blood, and she is also a 9th Circle Death Mage.

Owen hates that his wife can be lashed by his wife's mother, and as a man, cannot do a thing about it due to Alice accepting it.

Angelica was even surprised that Camila punished Alice so roughly, but then thought about the Love Gu, and she understood... Vali used Alice to hurt Loki.

When she realized this, she had more respect for this Camila she can't get rid of now.

Only Angelica knew that Camila wasn't targeting Alice, but Vali and Owen with this move, and her lush red lips arched in approval of the Vampire Matriarch's move.

Owen and Alice are still young, so not being able to be intimate with her for a while is something he must accept for now, to keep the peace. (He is a softhearted otaku.)

Vali has the halo of the 3rd Prince, a rare Human Death Healer, and is still Owen's son.

Owen hopes his stupid son will reflect on his choices and will grow up a bit, then he can fix his relationships later, as this wasn't the first or last time he was in the Harem Doghouse.

Alice knows Owen well and can see his expression, she sighed in her heart, and made up her mind.

"Disappointing... As a King, I have always respected you, and the reason I married you. As a father you protect your children to a fault, and that is a good trait. But when it comes to equal treatment and punishment, you're disappointing..."

"Just realize you have chosen Vali over Blade and I, your wife. So I have decided... 6th Queen Arial Blue, when the meeting starts next week, I too shall relinquish my 4th position among Queens to you..."

"No need for me to be 4th when the 5th and her Human son is clearly more capable to me. But how can I trade with her, so you Ariel are the one I will trade with. The 6th Queen role is perfect for my disgraced position in the King's heart."

Ariel felt conflicted, because she hated being number 6 due to marriage order, and Owen loves her the most in the harem, so she only nodded reluctantly. (Leandra is number one, Ariel is two in Owen's heart)

Xia Bing has been catching many arrows of humiliation for her son being the winner, and she is frustrated with no outlet.

Alice sat down in the furthest armchair and ignored Owen and the other Queens, but something strange happened to her after her venting...

Her seven wounds started to fade away and healed perfectly!

The bloodline suppression raised her strength back to the 8th Circle, and she knew her Mother was observing from somewhere, somehow.

Alice Dark was so thankful she stood her ground now, and she felt both relieved and frightened how her Mother knew things.

Camila has a bloodline ability that lets her spy on the senses of anyone who shares a bloodline to herself that are within 100 feet per Circle Level, and she has never revealed this scrying ability. (Camila can't Puppeteer them, only see, feel, hear, smell, and taste what the target is experiencing.)

Owen suddenly regretted not pulling Vali from his room and lashing him personally now!

Because he has two Queens publicly declining their roles and bringing some shame to the royal family, as it proves Owen cannot run his harem properly.

Owen is now a tad jealous, because while his harem has a dumpster fire, Loki must be living the life...

Shade was kneeling in front of me and holding the gold coin bucket to catch all of the winnings, her eyes looked greedy.

Lisa was looking for the next slot machine for me to hit, with imaginary gold coins reflected in her blue eyes.

Huff~! Princess Opal blew into my ear with a sultry grin and then teased me.

"Didn't I tell you drinking Mermaid Tears gave you good luck, haha? And you made me cry a lot last night, so this is all your ability to make me happy."

Shade, who put the full bucket into the Space Ring, held another empty bucket, and with an expressionless tone said.

"Loki, I am very happy to... Keep earning baby gold... Let Owen pay for schooling and diapers."

Lisa pointed to an open machine and said with excitement, like a chipmunk on coffee.

"The Final Fantasy VII machine is ready for a big payout! Loki do this one, this one!"

The managers and staff are panicking, because the amount of gold the royal family is losing right now is terrifying.

Someone had sent a message to manager Queen Angelica, but she has yet to respond to their pleas for help.

Lisa pointed again excitedly.
