Chapter 47: I Was Killed By Airplane-kun?
Chapter 47: I Was Killed By Airplane-kun?
The boundaries of a mortal vessel were frustratingly absolute. No matter how much of a prodigy I claimed to be, I had pushed my magic core and internal aura to their absolute limits. To force a breakthrough into the ranks of a 4th Circle Summoner, I needed just a magic core, while my Vanguard couldn't simply bypass through sheer willpower—it needed an advancement potion.
Slap! Slap!
The sharp, rhythmic sound of skin meeting skin echoed in the tight confines of the cabin.
Since my cultivation had hit a temporary ceiling, it meant I had an abundance of free time. Time that my women were more than happy to use to ring me completely dry. Ah, the heavy sacrifices a handsome guy must suffer for his art.
Shifting my weight, I tightly gripped Ayala’s hips. I purposely avoided driving in too deeply, keeping my thrusts slow, deliberate, and gentle. She was already carrying my child, and her pregnancy demanded a careful touch. When the tension finally broke, I collapsed to her side, pulling her slick, warm body tightly against my chest.
She leaned into the embrace, her breathing gradually slowing. "Loki, we reach the roots of the World Tree tomorrow," she murmured against my shoulder. "This past week has been... deeply satisfying. Just make sure you come out of that place alive. Come back stronger. And definitely come back luckier."
My hand instinctively found its way to her stomach, gently rubbing the exact spot where our baby was growing. I offered a half-joke, trying to mask the sudden flutter of worry in my chest. "Hey, Ayala, you’ve never been one for sweet pillow talk. And you definitely don’t usually warn me about danger. Careful, you're going to jinx me."
Ayala blinked, turning her head to stare at me with a genuinely spooked expression. "Was that... did I really just do sweet pillow talk?"
"We are currently in Sage Mode," I explained with a smirk. "Once all that primal lust is completely vented, whatever you think about, worry about, or crave—whether it's food, drink, or another subject—is a reflection of your truest feelings. For a man, a woman can always tell how he really feels right after the act."
She listened intently, her expression turning thoughtful.
"If the man keeps holding her, kisses her, and talks to her instead of rushing out for food or a drink, that’s how you know it's real love." Mwah. I leaned over and pressed a soft kiss to her flushed cheek.
Ayala looked momentarily dazed before a soft sigh escaped her lips. "After we finished just now, I thought about your return. I thought about our baby, about the upcoming fighting, about drinking... and about you fucking me again."
"Then you can be sure those are the exact things you love, worry about, and want the most right now," I said softly. "As for me? My immediate thoughts were about keeping my lovers, my family, and especially my unborn babies safe from harm so they can grow up. Oh, and getting strong enough to actually give you that extra round tonight." I coughed into my hand, breaking the heavy mood.
"Sigh. I've spent far too many years living in the human lands," Ayala grumbled, though a faint smile touched her lips. "And look at me now. Loving a human, and turning into a softer Amazon."
Creak.
The heavy wooden cabin door swung open. Lisa stuck her head into the room, her nose instantly wrinkling in disgust. "Loki, the airship captain is here to see you. Get dressed and get out here. Ew, it stinks of sex in here."
Ayala sneered, a wicked grin returning to her face as she teased the newcomer. "Hey girl, if you want a baby of your own, you have to fuck exactly like this. Haha! Go on, my man. I'm satisfied."
I smiled at the banter, quickly pulling up my trousers and heading for the door. Well, the Amazon had officially kicked me out.
In the shared sitting room of the airship, Captain Sid Highland stood waiting. The moment I walked out, he offered a respectful greeting and handed me a letter sealed with heavy wax.
"My apologies for disturbing you at an inopportune time, Count Sky," Captain Sid said, keeping his eyes carefully averted. "But this is for your eyes only. I will take my leave."
I couldn't help but chuckle internally. High-Circle beings possessed incredible senses. In these cramped airship cabins, your hearing, sight, and smell were highly amplified. It was practically impossible for him not to notice he had interrupted a very intimate session.
Beside me, Lisa didn't even glance at the wax seal. She actively looked away, deliberately avoiding any sign of prying unless I chose to share it with her.
What a thoughtful, perfect lover.
Breaking the seal, I scanned the text. It was exactly what I had guessed. That old guy simply couldn't wait any longer. If I somehow managed to perish inside the Secret Realm, the burning questions plaguing his mind would go unanswered for the rest of his long, miserable life.
"Lisa, honey," I said, folding the parchment. "I need to slip out for a secret meeting. If anyone asks where I am, tell them I'm locked in here dealing with a very cranky Ayala."
Lisa stepped close, her fingers gently smoothing out my wrinkled collar and fixing my messy hair. Her lower lip pouted slightly. "You're not going out to find another woman, are you? I'm right here, Loki, and I'm entirely ready to make you happy. I'm not jealous... just worried."
When a woman pouts and explicitly claims she isn't jealous, she is absolutely, undeniably jealous. But in her case, it was just a beautiful expression of her love.
Mwah.
I kissed her deeply, capturing her lips. "I think seven lovers, wives, and mistresses is the absolute maximum my body can handle," I reassured her with a laugh. "Don't worry, my dearest Lisa. I am literally meeting a guy. A total pervert, in fact. Keep your bed warm for me tonight, because I fully intend to get you pregnant next. And the moment we return in the winter, I am going to marry you."
The moment the word marry left my lips, her eyes filled with sudden tears. She choked up, unable to form words, but she nodded fiercely before shoving me out the door to hide her blushing face.
I moved like a shadow, sneaking through the dark, quiet passageways of the third deck. Eventually, I arrived at a secluded storage room at the very back of the ship. Attached to the door was a completely out-of-place sign that read: Capsule Corp.
Knock.
I gave a single, firm rap against the wood.
From the other side, a crisp female voice called out a bizarre challenge: "[What did the Dubbed Scouter report to shock the alien?]"
I didn't miss a beat. "It's over nine thousand! Though the original Japanese version was actually eight thousand..."
Click. Creak.
The door swung open. Gondul stood there, nodding in approval as she waved me into the room.
Sitting on a rough wooden crate in the center of the space was a man completely shrouded in a heavy black cloak. He wore a dark scarf over the lower half of his face, an outfit so aggressively covert it practically screamed to the world that he was trying to hide his identity.
He gestured toward a vacant box sitting next to a larger crate, where a bottle of cheap whiskey was already waiting. "Sit, Loki. Let me properly introduce myself to you."
Naturally, the "Capsule Corp" room was just a glorified storage space for the mess hall's kitchen supplies.
I took my seat but bypassed his whiskey entirely. Instead, I flicked my wrist and pulled out two bottles of premium, magically refined Alchemist Sake from my storage ring. The moment he saw the labels, the man’s breath hitched in pure, unadulterated joy.
"Loki, let me give you the short, condensed version of my tale," he began, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "Once upon a time on the Third Rock from the sun, I was an eighteen-year-old half-Japanese, half-American kid. My dad was a businessman working in Japan, and he met my blonde, blue-eyed mother while on a trip to New York."
He paused to take a long sip of the sake. "The two of them married, settled down in Japan, and in 1973, they had a son. My name was Ken Owen—or Owen Ken, depending on which country you asked. I grew up attending Japanese schools, but later in life, I moved out to America with my mom."
He shrugged. "My parents didn't divorce or anything. It was just that my mom landed a massive risk assessment job back in New York with an old childhood friend. She wanted me to spend more time in the States and eventually go to a university there. As you can probably guess by my door security, I was a bit of an otaku—if people still even used that word when you were alive. Anyway, my mom's friend called me in for an interview to apprentice under her."
His gaze drifted to the ceiling, a distant look entering his uncovered eye. "So, I went to my mom's office at the Twin Towers. The North Building. I rode the elevator up to the 95th floor to meet her friend for the interview, and the moment I saw her, I was completely stunned. She possessed this unearthly beauty that completely defied her age. Honestly, to describe how she looked, you just have to look at Gondul standing right over there. Sigh."
Gondul remained silent, watching him with an inscrutable expression.
"Naturally, I was an eighteen-year-old virgin, totally ecstatic about the prospect of working for such a sexy, blonde, gray-eyed woman. But then she did something strange. She pointed to a delicious-looking apple sitting on her desk and looked me dead in the eye. 'If you want a new life—one filled with immense power, beautiful women, and boundless adventure—all you have to do is eat it,' she told me. Then she smiled and added, 'After you do, I will also become your woman, Owen-kun.' So, I did exactly what any horny, brainless virgin would do. I ate that delicious, seedless apple."
He let out a long, ragged sigh. "The woman didn't lie to me. I lost my virginity right then and there on her office desk. But... that was the exact moment fate decided to absolutely screw me. Just as I finished, I witnessed the most outrageous thing in my short life."
He gripped the sake bottle tighter. "It wasn't the legendary Truck-kun. Instead, Airplane-kun came tearing straight through the window and crashed right into the office where I was becoming a man. The impact fucking Isekaied me directly to Myst. Sigh."
He looked incredibly lonely, his shoulders slumping under the weight of a home he could never return to.
I turned my head, locking eyes with the silent Valkyrie. "This question is incredibly important to me, Valkyrie Gondul... Were you that woman?"
Gondul shrugged her shoulders elegantly. "I do not know... Maybe? It is highly probable. I only know that I have existed within the Plane of Death for a very long time by human metrics. But the exact moment I felt my Master Owen's cosmic call, my soul experienced a profound sense of love."
She looked at the cloaked king, her eyes softening. "When I beheld him for the very first time in this world, my heart throbbed with love, an intense longing, and the absolute certainty that I had found the one I was meant to find—even though I had no logical memory of him. Therefore, it is highly likely that the woman from Master's past was indeed me, prior to my reincarnation into my current form."
To their absolute surprise, tears suddenly began to flow uncontrollably down my face. Yet, despite the crying, a massive, triumphant smile split my lips.
"God! Good! Great..." I laughed, wiping furiously at my eyes. "That means she really is my Amaya Kaida! I'm so incredibly happy right now... Thank you for telling me this, Owen. A massive, choking knot in my heart has finally been untied."
Owen stared at me, catching the unfamiliar name. "Hey, that's a distinctly Japanese name. Are you Japanese? Do you speak the language?"
Shaking my head, I wiped away the last of the tears and took a long drink from my own bottle. "Hello, Owen Ken. In my past life, my name was Luke Sky. I was an American from California, and I looked pretty much exactly like I do now. The name I just mentioned belonged to my girlfriend. She was a blind exchange student from Japan."
I leaned back against a crate, the memories washing over me. "I was born on May 1st, 2008. Just like you, and just like my brother, I died at the age of eighteen after being fed a mysterious apple. As I was slipping away, I clearly heard the murmurs of three Goddesses. They explicitly stated I was being Isekaied to Myst, a world heavily based on a brand-new RPG Dating-Sim."
"Did you play it?" Owen asked, leaning forward.
"Never got the chance," I replied with a wry smile. "Mainly because Earth was actively undergoing a cataclysmic event. A massive meteor storm was in the middle of completely eradicating all life on the planet. But I died right before the worst of it hit. I was taken out by Giant Mamba Snake-kun."
Owen blinked. "A snake?"
"Yeah. If you were to ask me, I have absolutely no fucking clue how a fourteen-foot-long Black Mamba magically materialized inside my bedroom. But looking back, I'm entirely convinced those three Goddesses let it in. Sigh. Just like your sudden plane ride, my death was very clearly an orchestrated event."
I tapped my fingers rhythmically against the wooden crate. "I caught bits and pieces of their conversation while I lay dying. It sounded like they mentioned two other souls had already departed for Myst ahead of me. Oh, and they also mentioned that the ancient Greek Gods were migrating to Myst as well. So, doing some basic deductions... Thorin might very well be the mythological reincarnation of Thor. You, the one-eyed Owen, are likely Odin. And me? The trickster god, Loki."
Whoosh!
With a sudden movement, Owen yanked off his eyepatch, pointing directly at his face. "Hey! My eye actually works perfectly fine. It's just... highly special. That's why it turned entirely white and why I keep it covered. Wait, why don't you look surprised to see it?"
I simply smiled. "My Dark Elf lover happens to have two special eyes of her own, and she already deduced that you possessed one as well. But my main point is this: with three Goddesses intentionally assassinating me just to drag me to Myst, the probability that we are those literal Norse entities is astronomically high."
I waved a hand dismissively. "Though honestly, being ex-gods doesn't really matter in this current life. It's just a cool backstory, right?"
Owen, who had possessed countless years in this world to process his reality, nodded slowly in agreement. "Yeah. The memories of Earth are ultimately just a nice, built-in gold-finger. In this reality, I am Owen Balder, the King of this realm. But why exactly did three separate goddesses smash your ass into Myst? Did they offer you any crazy perks, broken cheat powers, or something?"
"Um, no," I muttered, scratching the back of my neck. "They didn't give me a single thing other than the apple. Actually, because the venom had me completely paralyzed, they literally took turns mouth-to-mouth feeding it to me and kissing me. I couldn't even feel it. Those Goddesses were constantly apologizing for a bunch of ancient shit I knew nothing about—probably related to our past lives as gods. My death was essentially just a sacrifice used to open a stable portal to Myst."
I leaned closer, lowering my voice. "Oh, and they took the giant Black Mamba and my dying girlfriend along into the portal with us. They explicitly referred to my girlfriend as the reincarnation of a Goddess named Saga, and they claimed the snake was a physical reincarnation of my own past wife. Mind you, my brain was completely groggy from the venom, so I was barely hanging on."
Owen let out a sudden, dry chuckle. "Man, I originally brought you in here because I wanted a good, nostalgic chat about anime and all the pop culture things I missed out on after 2001. But hearing that the entire Earth went completely bye-bye a few years later? I guess my meeting with Airplane-kun was actually a blessing in disguise."
Slap!
I struck my own forehead, suddenly remembering the precise timeline of his departure. "Holy shit, Owen... That Airplane-kun wasn't targeting you at all. That plane was part of a massive, coordinated terrorist strike. They hit the other tower right after, crashed another into the Pentagon, and only missed the White House because the passengers fought back. It was a globally historic tragedy."
Owen's relaxed posture instantly shattered. His jaw dropped, and a look of absolute, pure irritation washed over his face.
"Ah... you have got to be kidding me," Owen growled, looking completely pissed off. "I distinctly saw that smiling bastard of a pilot waving at me through the glass right before the impact! I spent all these years genuinely believing it was a customized Isekai vehicle!"
