"Nian Ru, when we get to the palace, just follow behind me. Don’t speak unless necessary, and don’t wander off..." Prince Duan alighted from his sedan chair, still somewhat uneasy, and instructed Zheng Nianru while firmly holding her arm.

Zheng Nianru suddenly stopped and turned around; Ju Nanyi didn’t want to stop, preferring to quickly put an end to such proximity. At least, without her around, he could remain calm.

"Did the Crown Prince summon you to the palace now?" The woman suddenly asked, causing Ju Nanyi to pause, then realize that she did not speak unintentionally but seemed to be seeking certain answers from him.
