Chapter 263
On the day Avery went to school, freshmen surrounded her.
Many freshmen rushed to take photos with her. She stood under the tree with a smile and let them line up to take photos with her. However, she kept a distance from them and refused physical contact.
Joy was also the same. Joy responded to them in a cordial and friendly manner. Everyone praised her for being beautiful, talented, and super good-natured.
Avery heard others discussing Joy.
"Joy is so amazing. She passed all the junior year exams with a high score and was directly promoted to the next grade. I’ve never seen such a talented person!"
"She’s really hardworking. During the two months of summer vacation, she participated in two archaeological activities. One was in the desert, and the other was in the deep mountains and forests. She carried her luggage alone and never complained about being tired, nor did she drag anyone down. She knows a lot. The professors in the faculty praised her."
"These two archaeological events cost a lot of money. I heard that most of the funds were provided by Joy. Her money came from her salary and scholarship. Don’t you think it’s amazing?"
Avery’s eyes flickered when she heard that.
Joy was in such a hurry to enter her senior year and was so passionate about archaeology. Is she really passionate about archaeology, or does she have another motive? Avery thought.
There was an unwritten reward for the Department of History. The most outstanding student in the senior year would be recommended by the faculty to go on an archaeological expedition with Franco. This reward was very attractive. Almost all the students yearned for this opportunity. From this perspective, Joy was qualified.
A few days after school started, Franco received a call from Rosemont University’s head of the Department of History.
