Two days later.
Avery finished her final exams. As soon as she left the school building, she saw Alexander sitting in his car, wearing sunglasses.
Avery raised her hand to cover her mouth and giggled as she jogged over. She asked him through the car window, "When did you get back?"
Alexander took off his sunglasses. "I just arrived in Valemont City this morning and stayed at home for the entire afternoon. Then, I came over to see you and wanted to treat you to a meal. I also wanted to tell you about something good that happened at my house." He paused slightly and said regretfully, "I also want to celebrate your 19th birthday with you."
"Oh." Avery replied and waved her hand nonchalantly. "It’s fine. Actually, I don’t celebrate birthdays very often. You were kind to remember, and that’s enough."
Avery was a Falix Moon just like her father.
She celebrated her birthday in the laboratory. The bionic robots made her a birthday cake, using data to get the perfect taste. It ended up tasting like an ordinary cake. Avery and her colleagues finished the cake but also praised the robots for doing a good job with the cake.
Alexander smiled. "Miss Carter, I believe that being born in this world is a very important and beautiful thing. I hope to celebrate this day with you every year."
Avery blushed for a moment and touched her cheek. "You’re quite slick with your words..."
Alexander said, "If you don’t like to hear such words, then I’ll keep quiet."
