Chapter 133
Alexander was indifferent to Louis’s admiration. However, the way he looked at the champagne softened, as if he saw Avery. His voice was elegant and gentle, carrying a faint sweetness.
"Miss Carter is only eighteen years old. There’s still a long way until her graduation from university. There’s no need to rush. Before the time comes, I want to divert the attention of the Moran and Powell families. I can’t let them notice Miss Carter."
"Okay!" Louis replied with admiration. "I will definitely do my best to follow your plan and protect your love with Miss Carter!"
Why did Mr. Moran mention Miss Carter’s graduation? Of course, it was because he knew she would not consider marriage before graduating from university. Mr. Moran is so thoughtful! Louis thought. None of the actors I’ve seen in dramas and romance novels can compare to him.
Alexander turned to look out of the window. His handsome face revealed a suspicious faint red. He said calmly, "Cut the crap. Hurry up and make the arrangements."
"Okay." Louis turned around and left proudly. After taking a few steps, he suddenly thought of something and turned back. He said seriously, "Whether you like it or not, I still have to tell you: Avery might not want to become rich. Becoming rich might not be a good thing for her either. So, secretly helping the Carter family isn’t necessarily a gift."
"I know." Alexander turned his head and met his gaze. "I just gave them a chance. It’s up to them whether they take it or not. If they make a name for themselves one day, that’s their own ability—it has nothing to do with me."
Louis nodded, very satisfied with Alexander’s attitude. "If you think so, you’re worthy of Miss Carter," he said.
At that moment, the sun had already risen, casting its light on Alexander’s slightly red face. It also shone on Avery’s reluctant expression. She sat in the car and waved at Jaden.
