After receiving fair compensation, they would withdraw their lawsuits, retract all accusations, and allow "Charming Beauty" to continue operating in these cities.
However, in the other cities, customers were determined to bring "Charming Beauty" down, ensuring its closure.
With this approach, the Murray family would still suffer significant losses and see their wealth sharply diminished, but at least they’d survive.
This was the way Alexander handled things—ruthless but leaving a way out for them. He wouldn’t take things to such an extreme unless there was some serious hatred involved.
As Louis made his call, Alexander walked over to the floor-to-ceiling windows, leaning slightly against the edge of the desk. With his arms crossed and his gaze lowered, he stared at the bustling city below. His fingers lightly tapped against his arm, and no one knew what he was thinking.
After Louis finished arranging things for the Murray family, he saw Alexander standing there like a statue. It was obvious that Alexander was mulling over the marriage agreement.
Louis approached, adjusted his glasses, and said quietly, "Just moments ago, Derrick made a rare public appearance at a banquet and confirmed Neil’s claims to be true. And Anabel posted a picture on Twitter of the two of you at Neil’s 90th birthday party with the caption, ’What will we look like when we’re 90?’"
Louis paused, then asked, "Shall I release a statement on your behalf, declaring the marriage agreement null and void?"
Alexander looked up, casting a glance at the clock on the wall. "Trying to put out a fire at its peak is difficult. Let it die down first. The cleanup will be more thorough. Besides, Miss Carter knows this is just wishful thinking on the old men’s part. She doesn’t care, so there’s no rush."
