Eagerly awaiting Alexander’s arrival, Mr. and Mrs. Murphy walked towards Alexander with beaming smiles.
Gia was wearing a mask, a red off–shoulder gown, crystal high heels, and jewelry of her own design. She was dressed elegantly and charmingly as she walked behind her parents unhurriedly.
"Welcome, Mr. Moran", Isaac greeted.
Isaac walked down the steps and reached out to shake Alexander’s hand, but Alexander did not move. He only said indifferently, "Congratulations on opening."
Isaac awkwardly retracted his hand. "This is my wife, and this is my daughter, Gia"
Gia stepped forward. She took off her mask with one hand and reached out with the other. "Hello, Mr. Moran. I’m the founder and design director of Yaen Jewelry Design Studio, Gia–Murphy. My English name is Yaen. It’s my pleasure to meet you "
The moment she took off her mask, everyone was stunned. "How beautiful!"
However, before Gia had fully removed her mask, she tripped over a step she hadn’t seen while trying to take it off as she walked. Her balance faltered, and she began to fall forward.
The crowd gasped, holding their breath in concern.
Fortunately, Alexander was standing in front of her. The two of them were only about a few feet apart.
However, to everyone’s surprise, Alexander quickly sidestepped, leaving Gia to fall.
