Chapter 19
"You want to come too?" Isaac was taken aback. "Is that really appropriate?"
Mr. Moran was a distinguished figure, and this meeting was likely about business. Bringing his newly eighteen-year-old daughter along seemed out of place.
"Why not?" Gia said as she walked over and playfully linked her arm with his. "Dad, I promise I won't be a distraction."
She paused, lifting her chin with a proud glint in her eyes. "Let me tell you, I'm an up-and-coming designer under the moniker Yaen. I just won first prize in the International Diamond Jewelry Design Competition! I'm currently setting up my own studio and planning to launch my jewelry brand. Many investors are eager to collaborate with me."
"The Moran Group is heavily involved in diamond mining, so I believe Mr. Moran and I will have plenty to discuss."
Now, with her prestigious background and rising status in the jewelry design world, she felt she was finally worthy of standing beside Mr. Moran.
"Oh my gosh, you're Yaen?" Regina exclaimed, standing up with her hands on her cheeks, as if she were a fan meeting her idol. "Sweetheart, I adore your work. You're a genius! I'm so proud of you, and I want to tell all of Rosemont City about your achievements!"
Regina was a jewelry enthusiast, always up-to-date with the latest releases from various brands. Just last month, she had admired Yaen's Dream series and had been thinking about buying a set. Little did she know, Yaen was her own daughter! She was so overjoyed she could hardly contain herself.
Gia smiled modestly. "It's nothing, really. I'm just starting out and have a long way to go."
