Chapter 324: Breaking in the new home (suggestive)
The reason why May, Ford, and the others hadn’t been invited was simple. They were all too busy to come. May had her hands full with work. Ever since Andrew had visited, people had been requesting her left and right. Andrew had felt bad until she told him to shut up, she was fine.
Ford was busy getting all of Richard’s things in order, and Rose’s work had also taken off, as had Jordan’s. Those were through their own merits, but also Amir had reached out to Jordan and commissioned him for a few paintings for the nursery.
It was a cute request, and there was no way Jordan was going to turn it down when Amir insisted on paying the full price that Jordan was worth.
Maxwell had simply told his parents not to come. His Mom wasn’t even in the country right now, helping out with a pageant as she always did around this time of year before coming back for the Christmas celebrations. His Dad and his brother were busy with end of the year meetings, and Will?
Well, Maxwell wouldn’t exactly tell him what was going on with Will, but Maxwell’s smile told him it wasn’t exactly anything good. When Andrew had asked if Rue was okay at the very least, Maxwell had laughed darkly. Evilly.
Andrew had dropped it, but was hopeful he would get some understanding at the Christmas party.
With all of that being said, Jenny and Kim left relatively early, especially since Maxwell had hired people who had unpacked a lot of their things, just not some of the more personal belongings because Andrew insisted.
Maxwell had thought he was being silly, but had agreed with him, letting him be insistent. Andrew had thought it was wild that Maxwell didn’t care that people saw their...personal things. Like the collars, or their underwear. Andrew cared about such little details, but Maxwell? Didn’t give a fuck. He brought up the fact that they signed NDAs for a reason, and Andrew had just stared at him. A little shocked, a little surprised, and then not shocked at all.
This was a world he hadn’t lived in, by his own choice and that of his Mom’s. There were some things that just weren’t going to make sense to him.
Andrew and Maxwell didn’t get too much more unpacked after Jenny and Kim left. Mainly because they explored their new house. It was much different to see it during a tour, then seeing it when you had all the time in the world and an asshole wasn’t lurking behind you. It was...a lot bigger than Andrew realised.
They had been working on the basement. There were several rooms down there, with one going to be a work out room after the little suite for Richard was made.
