Chapter 320: A peaceful sunday
Maxwell demanded that he get his turn, and rode Andrew on his favourite shower bench before the couple finally decided that they had gotten their fill of each other.
Then, the two settled into bed, curled around each other and Maxwell nestled into Andrew’s arms.
"Who helped you today?" Maxwell asked and Andrew froze.
"Uh, well...Can I keep that a secret?" Andrew asked. "Not because I want to hide it, but I want to surprise you." They had two different meanings, and Andrew felt Maxwell tense. He waited, holding his breath before he heard Maxwell sigh, and felt him snuggle against him further.
"Fine. I’m just curious, that’s all." Maxwell murmured and Andrew let out a slightly relieved breath.
"I know. I would be curious too, but I appreciate you not prodding more. I would tell you if you didn’t want it to be a secret, but I just..." Maxwell grumbled as Andrew trailed off.
"I know. It’s not like you can ask Richard for help right now, or May and Ford. They have their hands full, and we’ll have our own hands full here soon as well. So that does leave the pool narrowed. But, for your sake, I’ll stop pestering and wondering." Maxwell said. Like it was a heavy and hard thing to do.
"Could you...also not pester the people who follow me as well? I just...I really want this to be a secret. Until it isn’t." Andrew said and Maxwell grumbled more.
"You really are pushing your luck." He told him and Andrew laughed, pulling him closer.
"Thank you for being so understanding, my sweet Angel. You are so kind and caring and willing to compromise for me." Andrew told him and Maxwell continued to grumble, but held onto Andrew’s chest with a deep sigh.
"I am all of those things." He agreed finally and Andrew felt his cheeks crease with his smile.
