Chapter 252: Just put Andrew on them
"So? Did any parts of any of the houses you visited pass the test?" Kim asked, shifting to lean against the table, closer to Maxwell and Andrew. Maxwell chuckled, his hand wrapped around Andrew’s head as Andrew continued to lean against his shoulder, taking a breather. Literally.
"Well, short answer, no." Maxwell said, and Thomas groaned. Kim looked a little smug, before she wiped the expression off of her face.
"What? Oh no. That’s terrible." Kim said with sarcasm. Jenny chuckled, taking a sip of her water.
"You’re not fooling anyone, dear." She told her and Kim grinned.
"I’m sorry. It is a bit of a competition between Thomas and I. I was worried that you would fall in love with a place before you even got to see what I wanted you to see." Kim said, and Thomas was doing his best to keep his composure.
"Was there anything you liked?" He asked, and Maxwell’s silence spoke volumes. May and Ford remained silent, while Kim looked on gleefully.
"Part of it was our own fault. We didn’t send our realtor any information about us. No height reference, none of what we wanted in a place. They were stuck showing us pretty generic homes. Both Andrew and I agree on that. Despite that, Andrew was able to limit down some things that liked, and things he hated. I also did the same, and we really liked the realtor we had." Maxwell’s hand patting Andrew’s head hesitated for a second before he spoke. "We also learned a bit about the company you have set us up with tomorrow." Kim’s ears perked up and she smiled.
"Ah! I didn’t tell you much about them, did I?" Kim seemed very excited to talk about them, but was interrupted when the drinks arrived. Andrew didn’t shift his position, letting the wait staff work around his large frame. Thankfully, he left enough space for them to move around him, and Maxwell, so neither of them had to move. One of the wait staff asked Andrew if he wanted a straw, and thankful, Andrew said yes.
Kim waited until everyone was gone once more before she continued.
