Chapter 249: Am I being a diva right now?

"What do we think of this kitchen?" Andrew had thought that this was going to be a rather painless ordeal. He’d never been house shopping before, and when he’d been looking for apartments, he hadn’t really been that picky either.

He’d had multiple people who he’d asked to help him find places say that he was pretty easy. His list was easy, manageable, and he was a pleasure to work with.

Andrew felt that they might have been lying to his face because he’d been 6’4.

Andrew let out a sigh, glancing around the kitchen of the fourth place that they had looked at today. This was Thomas’ realtor, and thankfully, the crew was waiting at a nearby coffee shop after Maxwell had snapped at them at the first house.

They were very opinionated, and Kim was outwardly showing that she was biased and wanted them to go with her selection of a realtor. Jenny was more subtle about it, but by the end of the first house, Maxwell had pulled everyone aside and told them, rather calmly, that they needed to wait nearby, or else he wouldn’t speak to them tomorrow and Andrew and Maxwell would disappear somewhere they couldn’t monitor them. Only Michael would know that they were safe.

The threat had worked, Kim and Jenny looked chastised, and so did everyone else. Well, everyone except May and Ford. They were just along for the ride, and said that they would swing by Jordan’s gallery while they had time. It would be the third time that they had been by to support their son-in-law, but it was very much a May and Ford thing to do.

Maxwell told them that they would call them when they had gone through all of the houses the realtor had selected. That also applied to his parents, and Kim and Jenny.

Where was Andrew when Maxwell was ripping a strip off of everyone at the first house? He was talking to the realtor and explaining all the ways he didn’t like the house. The realtor was taking everything into consideration, especially after they realised that Maxwell, the bigger name of their two clients, was deferring to him.

Andrew had a long list of things that he wanted. Only a few were a requirement, but Maxwell had put a little worm into Andrew’s brain. They were both planning to live in this house for a long time. Yes, it was urgent that they moved relatively soon, but at the same time, it was okay to move some of those ’maybes’ into the ’must’ category.
