Maxwell was having a great day. He’d woken up to a still sleepy, but smiley Andrew wrapped around him, keeping him warm. Maxwell loved this. He loved waking up surrounded by man. The way Andrew smelled, felt and the slight abrasion from his body hair made Maxwell feel safe. Protected.

He loved that Andrew would grumble anytime he shifted, and would force his leg in between Maxwell’s while they slept entangled with each other. He would also shove his arm under Maxwell’s head, forcing him into a cocoon of Andrew. Combined with his pheromones, and the way that Andrew would kiss his forehead, even in his sleep, Maxwell had never felt his loved, or appreciated.

"Morning." Andrew rumbled, his voice heavy with sleep. Maxwell felt a slight shiver run down his spine at the way his voice made him feel. Maxwell leaned in, pressing his nose nearly against Andrew’s armpit and inhaling. He let out a heavy, relaxed sigh. Andrew chuckled, shifting to press a kiss against his forehead. "Still asleep?" He rumbled, and Maxwell snuggled in further, enjoying the heat.

"Yup." Maxwell replied, his own voice a little scratchy from the early morning. Andrew gave him a squeeze.

"Are you lying to me?" He asked and Maxwell grinned against Andrew’s skin.

"Yup." Maxwell told him and Andrew laughed, before wrapping himself around Maxwell and flipping them until Maxwell was lying on top of him and Andrew was underneath him. Andrew grinned as Maxwell turned his face towards him, his smile bright, his eyes a deep, glowing amber as he looked Maxwell over.

It was slightly strange to see Andrew like this since Maxwell had gotten used to his deep, beautiful brown eyes, but the amber eyes weren’t bad. He was just used to them showing up when Andrew was feeling an intense emotion. He didn’t feel like Andrew was feeling anything like that so early in the morning.

Maybe lust, but Maxwell didn’t think so.

He knew what Andrew looked like when the man wanted to eat him alive, and that wasn’t the vibe he was getting right now.
