Chapter 133: These moodswings are a killer

Andrew had a feeling that Maxwell’s admission and condition only played a small role in why he was currently in a foul mood. He was angrily tying his tie while Maxwell watched him with a worried gaze. He knew he shouldn’t be behaving this way, but it was hard for him.

He was doing his best to control his pheromones, his temper, and stopping himself from hauling Maxwell down and out in front of everyone until they found Michael. He was kicking himself for not bringing his phone since if he had, he could have prevented this.

He knew if he brought up why he wanted to use Maxwell’s phone, he probably wouldn’t get it, and with him unable to mask his emotions around Maxwell, there was no way he wasn’t going to ask why Andrew needed his phone.

So, Andrew got dressed angrily, while Maxwell clearly felt like he was walking on eggshells.

In fairness to Maxwell and the whole situation, this was the outfit that Andrew had dreaded the most. Maxwell’s family had a slightly strange tradition that had been passed down on Maxwell’s Father’s side. Maxwell would probably do the same, so it was better for Andrew to wrap his head around it now.

Tradition stated that they were to have three receptions, with the wedding itself attended by everyone at the first reception. The second was for business relations and family if they wanted to attend, but the last reception was for family and friends. With the first two receptions the married couple was to remain in white for the most part, even if they changed their outfits.

It was at the third reception meant for family and friends where the married couple would change out of their wedding garb and into black clothing, while the rest of the reception would change into white. Both men and women.

So, Andrew and Maxwell had to both get into cream suits with cream shirts and cream ties. Andrew hated every second of it. It didn’t help that they weren’t just cream suits. Oh no. The suits had small flower details in a white shimmery fabric so that whenever they moved they came into contrast. Andrew had felt like his father before now, but this moment? He truly felt like he was an imitation of him.

The man never wore anything but cream suits. Sometimes, when Andrew assumed his other suits were dirty, he wore a bright white one.

Maxwell had been excited when his Father had first shown him the suits. It was cute that he’d gotten one for Maxwell and Andrew each. It was the fact that he’d gotten them each one as a matching set that had sold Andrew on the suits as well.

Now though, the suits felt like they were taking too much damn time to get into. He just wanted to get Maxwell to Michael as soon as possible. It was unfortunate that Maxwell wasn’t able to read that that was the reason Andrew was so anxious.
