(BL)Alpha Made

Chapter 67: An offer of support

It was the next day when Michael showed up with good news.

Andrew, after interacting with others, could go to work.

BUT, it had to be somewhere with limited contact with omegas and alphas, it had to be somewhere where he could run away and hide if he needed a minute, and it had to be somewhere where if he could, he could have contact with Maxwell.

If he was honest with himself, he was pretty sure it was a setup by Maxwell’s Father and Michael was helping him, but Andrew was just happy to hear the good news. It wasn’t an immediate thing, since he still had to be assigned a job that he could do, and there was also the fact that he wasn’t fully qualified to work in the company in the capacity that Maxwell wanted from him, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t going to try.

His lessons with Michael weren’t just about him being an alpha, but it was now also about medical science. Andrew had a feeling this was more than slightly unethical, but Michael and Maxwell didn’t seem to care. Maxwell was too busy with his own work and also trying to get Andrew into a medical school that wouldn’t ask too many questions to pay too much attention to Andrew’s lessons.

Andrew didn’t mind. Maxwell was a busy man, with a lot of responsibilities. He already felt bad that Maxwell had to halt his traveling for work because of him. Maxwell hadn’t said anything about it, but it wasn’t like Andrew was an idiot. He knew that Maxwell had done a lot of traveling internationally before Andrew had entered his life. He had barely left the house since Andrew had moved in.

Andrew was appreciative of the level of care Maxwell was showing him, and he wasn’t upset about it. He just didn’t want to hold the man back. He didn’t want to be the reason Maxwell lost contracts or his company lost money. That would kill him if that happened.

Of course, he never voiced this to Maxwell. He didn’t want to worry that man needlessly, or hear Maxwell try to soothe him. He was a big boy. He could handle these emotions on his own.

Speaking of not feeling like a burden, like Maxwell’s Father had suggested, it was the next day when Andrew got a frantic phone call from the lady who had taken over his Mom’s accounting firm.
