Chapter 91: Reunion And A Guest
Ben lay on his bed for several long minutes, hoping the twins would make an appearance so they could pick things up where they left off.
However, he soon gave up that idea, as it was now far into the night; he was rather exhausted from the day’s activities, and he also assumed the twins must have turned in for the night in their own quarters.
As Ben slowly drifted off to sleep, he also planned for the day ahead.
However, not too far into his slumber, his eyes suddenly shut back open as a soft smile curved his lips.
’They’re here.’
Ben thought inside as his senses picked up the unique signatures of the twins more than a full corridor away from his. This was one of the perks of being in the noble knight realm.
But then, Ben suddenly frowned.
’Who is that ?.....wait...’
’I know this presence.’
Ben caught a completely different presence approaching just a few feet behind the girls.
The twins were moving in his direction in a hurried state, while this person was casually keeping pace, their presence almost completely hidden, causing Ben to really focus to sense them.
Even as he had locked onto them, their presence was still phasing in and out of state, needing Ben to focus his complete attention.
’Luna.’
’Why is she here?... Why is she moving with the twins ?’
’Also... the fuck?....wasn’t she at the warrior knight realm?!’
As someone who’s now at the noble knight realm, Ben could not only perceive the presence of others from quite a distance, but he could also sense their realm.
And what he was getting from Luna’s essence was the realm of a master knight.
Ben concluded that this would mean one of two things: either she was already incredibly close to breaking through at the last time he had been with her, or she was so talented that she jumped into a realm that would take others years in only a few days.
Still, Ben wasn’t threatened by her being in the master realm. He was in the noble realm himself.
Gone were the days when he would be pushed around by her,
What was concerning to him, though, was what he could now perceive of her as he had become a noble knight himself.
Her ability to appear as if in and out between states certainly did not appear to be a specialized technique whatsoever, which gave Ben just two guesses, but he couldn’t dwell on that at the moment.
Ben’s wooden door was hurriedly pushed open as beautiful twin girls locked onto him on the mattress with teary eyes and a look of extreme relief on their faces.
"Where have you two been?"
Ben said to them, smiling softly as he sat up, but before he could even completely land his statement, both ladies had run and jumped onto him, pushing him back down into the mattress as they sobbed into his arms.
"There there, I am alright."
Ben smiled as he patted their ass cheeks in consolation, one on each side. If he was being honest, it did feel quite good for others to care about his safety this much.
Ben Dover came from a medium-sized family back in his old world, and though they did care for each other deep down, none would go out of their way to actually show this, as all the Dover’s preferred a free type of lifestyle.
’This is good.’
Ben thought as he caressed the twins slowly, but he suddenly paused as he recalled he had forgotten something.
’Fuck!....Luna.’
Having this thought, his gaze sharply turned to his door, and leaning casually against the frame of his door with her arms crossed over her bosom, a curved smile on her lips as she met Ben’s gaze...was Luna.
The current picture wasn’t proper in any way; Ben knew this, and clearly so did Luna.
No regular servants would be this close to their master and even jump into their arms, bodies melding together on the mattress without care.
The adrenaline coursing through the twins at the excitement of Ben being safe and sound had caused them to act out of place in front of Luna, and they still weren’t aware of this.
There was still the compromising situation those noble servants had seen the three of them in at the bathroom, which Ben could argue was them bathing him, which was apparently normal in this world. Though the picture seemed far from that.
But right here and right now. This vulnerable display of emotions from the twins and their obvious closeness to their master in front of all people, Luna, could not be easily brushed off.
Ben still didn’t know how this scary young lady happened to come along with the twins in the first place.
"I figured you would be fine"
Luna’s sudden voice instantly caused the twins to regain their senses as they jumped up from Ben, bowing really low to him in apology.
"Forgive us, Master Hardwood."
The twins changed their manner of speech as well as their entire body language.
Ben didn’t like them ever bowing to him or being so formal, but reading the room, he could tell why the twins were acting this way.
Luna was watching.
"No, It’s totally fine, ladies....."
"And I can see you’ve brought a guest."
Ben, also playing at formality, said to the twins as he rose from the mattress.
"Yes, Master. When we went to seek help from the hunt squad, Lady Luna had personally chosen to help us."
Saying this, the twins bowed low toward Luna, while her expression remained the same as she observed them closely.
"I see. Thank you so much, Lady Luna, and I am sorry for the inconvenience I must have caused you." Ben said to Luna, wearing the most genuine smile he could force in his face.
Now he had gotten the picture of how she came to be here. Left to him, Ben would prefer not to get involved with this person just yet. Though she was insanely hot, and his thoughts still lingered with memories of her....
She was too much of a wildcard to operate.
He couldn’t even think of a way to get his revenge on her without complicating things between them even more. He could still recall the last time clearly.
"Hmm.... It was indeed an inconvenience."
Luna said calmly to Ben as she walked into his room, running her pale, porcelain-like beautiful fingers over his walls, and her eyes casually taking in his room.
Then she paused. Turning in the direction of the twins, she commanded with a soft smile on her lips..... "Get out."
The twins, who were already nervous with Luna’s presence, hearing this, just about disappeared from the room as they ran out very fast.
Only a fool would not realise there must be some connection between those two after seeing her personally making a move on his behalf. Something she had never done before.
And they, as mere servants, dared not to pry into whatever business they had together.
It was enough that they had survived such a close encounter with Lady Luna, and also to know that their master was fine as they ran straight for the servant’s quarters leaving the two alone inside.
