Chapter 194 : Put Some Back Into It, Haven't You Eaten?
At this point, a peaceful resolution was impossible.
Raikage A had the most explosive temper. Having held back until now, he finally reached his breaking point.
As soon as the words fell, blue lightning violently erupted from his body, exploding across his skin like a Lightning Style bomb.
Blue electrical currents crackled outward. His hair stood on end, his muscles bulged, and his clothes clung tightly to his frame.
The ground beneath his feet shattered as Raikage A vanished from his spot, shooting forward like a bolt of lightning.
The blue lightning dragged a visible line through the air, stretching from his original position straight to Uchiha Taiga.
The streak moved so fast that the torn air let out a piercing shriek, and the gale generated by the electricity sent loose gravel tumbling wildly across the ground.
In the blink of an eye, Raikage A closed the distance to Uchiha Taiga.
He clenched his right fist, coating it in a thick layer of blue Lightning Style chakra. The currents crackled over his knuckles like a compressed thundercloud. The muscles in his arm pulled taut, veins bulging as he thrust his fist from his waist, channeling his entire body's strength into a devastating strike aimed right at Taiga's chest.
At this moment, Raikage A's expression was somewhat ferocious—not out of mere anger, but from the sheer intensity of compressing all his chakra, power, and willpower into this single punch.
His eyes were wide and bloodshot, his teeth grinding audibly.
Secret Art: Death Lightning Dance!
He didn't shout the name of the technique, but his fist was already flying.
The lightning bursting from his fist didn't just strike straight ahead. Mid-punch, it suddenly detonated, transforming into a beast of pure lightning that lunged from his knuckles.
The lightning beast lacked a fixed shape, appearing as a violent mass of blue electricity with a vague head, body, four legs, and a tail. Upon bursting from the fist, it immediately scattered in all directions, sealing off every possible escape route for Uchiha Taiga.
Front, back, left, right, above, and below—not a single direction was left open.
At the same time, Yagura Karatachi made his move, twirling his Coral Staff in a circle.
The circle wasn't large, less than a meter in diameter, and the spin wasn't particularly fast; every trajectory the staff carved through the air was clearly visible.
Once the circle was complete, the air within it grew damp. Moisture seeped from the ring, growing thicker and denser, condensing from vapor into droplets, and then from droplets into a flowing stream.
A water dragon soared into the sky from the circle. Its body was forged from crystal-clear currents, complete with scales, claws, horns, and whiskers.
The water dragon was massive, dozens of times longer than Yagura himself. After bursting from the ring, it flew straight toward the battlefield.
It hovered above the battlefield, circling once before connecting its head to its tail, coiling itself into a massive ring.
The ring was enormous, dozens of meters across, enclosing both Uchiha Taiga and Raikage A within it.
The water dragon's body formed a seamless loop, its jaws clamped tightly onto its own tail.
Then, the water dragon shattered.
Its form disintegrated from the loop, transforming into a colossal torrent of water that crashed down from the sky, flooding the exact area locked down by the lightning.
When the water and lightning collided, they didn't cancel each other out or repel one another; instead, they fused.
The electricity spread through the water, and the water carried the electrical currents. The two forces combined, amplifying their destructive power to several times greater than either element alone.
Yagura stood there, his Coral Staff still raised. He watched the area engulfed by lightning and water without a change in expression, though his fingers tapped lightly against his staff twice.
Onoki and Orochimaru exchanged a glance.
Their eyes met briefly. No words were spoken, but they both understood each other's intent perfectly.
This was no time to hold back. If they didn't strike now, they would have absolutely no chance once Raikage A and Yagura were defeated.
Onoki let out a cold snort and took flight from the fortress wall, shooting up into the sky like an arrow.
A bright white light flared in his palms.
The glow was like a suddenly ignited bulb, casting a brilliant white beam from his hands that illuminated the ground below, washing out the colors of the lightning and water.
A circle materialized in front of him.
It wasn't large, less than half a meter in diameter. Its edges were lined with white light, while the center remained transparent, like a mirror without glass.
Onoki supported the circle with both hands, his fingers spread wide and his palms pressed against its glowing edge, aiming it directly at Uchiha Taiga's position on the battlefield below.
"Particle Style: Detachment Death Light!"
A beam of white light erupted from the circle, firing downward like a laser.
The beam moved too fast for the naked eye to track. Only a solid white line could be seen plunging from the heavens, striking straight toward Taiga.
Wherever the beam passed, the air was dismantled and light was distorted. All matter was reduced to nothingness before that blinding white light.
Standing on the wall, Orochimaru licked his lips.
Under these circumstances, he had no choice but to act as well. Raising his hands, his ten fingers rapidly wove hand signs, moving so quickly they blurred into a string of afterimages.
Four White Snakes Formation!
The moment his hand signs were complete, four plumes of white smoke exploded in front of him.
*Poof! Poof! Poof! Poof!* Four muffled pops rang out as the white smoke billowed outward, obscuring the view within several meters of him.
Four massive white snakes slithered out from the smoke.
Each was twenty to thirty meters long, their bodies too thick for a person to wrap their arms around. They were covered head to tail in white scales that gleamed coldly in the sunlight.
Their eyes were a piercing yellow with slitted pupils, and their jaws hung slightly open to reveal razor-sharp fangs.
The four giant snakes slithered toward the battlefield at breakneck speed, carving deep trenches into the earth as they moved. They positioned themselves at the four corners of the battlefield, occupying the north, south, east, and west.
The giant snakes reared their heads and opened their jaws.
*Hiss... Hiss... Hiss... Hiss...*
Four simultaneous hisses rang out. The sound was sharp and ear-piercing, like four needles being driven directly into one's eardrums.
In the center of the battlefield, the ground beneath Uchiha Taiga's feet began to change in response to the hissing.
It grew soft and mushy, turning into a thick sludge.
The solid earth softened under the sonic vibrations, shifting from a solid state to a semi-solid state, and finally into a liquid state.
Dirt and gravel mixed together into a pool of mud that spread outward from beneath Taiga's feet.
The mud was incredibly viscous, acting like glue that would trap any foot that stepped into it.
From their respective corners, the four giant snakes each projected a pale white barrier of light.
The barriers spewed from the snakes' mouths like transparent walls, closing in toward the center from all four directions.
The walls of light linked together and sealed shut above the battlefield, forming a massive transparent dome that completely enclosed the area.
It was a variant of the Four Violet Flames Formation—the Four White Snakes Formation.
Uchiha Taiga was sealed off by lightning from the front, back, left, and right. He was trapped by water from above and below, targeted by Particle Style from the sky, mired in mud beneath his feet, and caged by barriers of light on all sides. The attacks surged at him from every conceivable angle, leaving absolutely no blind spots and no gaps to exploit.
As he watched these coordinated attacks from different people and different angles converge on him simultaneously, his eyes held no fear or tension—only pure excitement.
His grin widened. "This is how it should be!"
"Bring it on, hahaha!"
His body began to spin, erupting like a tornado.
He rotated in place, his speed increasing exponentially until he was nothing more than a blurry silhouette spinning on the spot.
Pale blue chakra surged from his body, unfurling around him like a curtain. The layer of chakra formed a spherical shield that expanded outward from his center, completely enveloping him.
The shield wasn't stationary; it spun in tandem with his body.
However fast he spun, the shield matched his speed.
The surface of the shield was as smooth as a mirror. When the lightning and water struck it, they failed to pierce through. Instead, they were caught in the shield's rotation, spinning along with it for a couple of revolutions before dissipating entirely, as if they had never existed.
Array of Rotation.
This wasn't the Hyuga clan's Rotation. It was a technique Uchiha Taiga had modified based on the Hyuga clan's Gentle Fist Secret Art: Rotation.
The Hyuga clan's Rotation released chakra from every tenketsu in the body to form a spinning barrier, but that barrier was fixed in place and could not move.
Uchiha Taiga's Rotation was different. His Rotation could move with him; wherever he spun, the shield followed.
The lightning and water crashed against the chakra shield of the Rotation with a deafening screech, but not a single bolt of electricity could pierce it, and not a single drop of water could seep through. They were caught by the rotational force on the shield's surface, spinning a few times before vanishing, much like water thrown onto a high-speed grinding wheel—instantly flung away.
The white Particle Style beam plunging from the sky also struck the Rotation's shield.
When the white light collided with the pale blue shield, there was no explosive roar; instead, the two forces canceled each other out.
The Particle Style beam was gradually ground down against the surface of the shield, shrinking from thick to thin, fading from bright to dim, until it disappeared completely.
A shallow dent was left on the Rotation's shield, but it quickly smoothed over, vanishing like ripples fading across the surface of a pond.
Uchiha Taiga's body was still spinning.
His laughter echoed from within the spinning shield. It wasn't loud, but everyone could hear it clearly.
He spun for an unknown number of revolutions before coming to an abrupt halt.
*Crash!*
With that sound, the Rotation's shield dispersed, exploding around him like a bomb. In an instant, the shield shattered into countless pale blue chakra fragments that scattered in all directions.
The fragments carried immense concussive force. Where they struck the ground, craters were blasted open.
Where they struck the lightning, the electricity was scattered.
Where they struck the water, the torrents were blown apart.
Where they struck the barrier of light, the walls shuddered violently, though they did not break.
The lightning and water were instantly obliterated, receding from Uchiha Taiga like smoke blown away by a gale. They were pushed back over a dozen meters before vanishing entirely.
Uchiha Taiga stood in the center of the battlefield without a single scratch on him. He simply stood there, as if the overwhelming, inescapable barrage of attacks had never even happened.
