Chapter 191 : I'm Really Pissed Off Right Now
Amidst this inexplicably awkward atmosphere, Uchiha Taiga let out a scoff.
"Alright, since no one wants to speak, let's continue."
As soon as he finished speaking, the golden light on his body flashed, and he vanished from his spot. When he reappeared, he was already right in front of Senju Hashirama.
Senju Hashirama's eyes twitched, his gaze shifting over the exact moment Uchiha Taiga disappeared, but his body remained motionless.
Senju Tobirama's figure also flickered. He was even faster than Uchiha Taiga—not in terms of movement speed, but through direct teleportation. He appeared right at Taiga's side, so close they were practically touching.
Flipping the kunai in his hand, he aimed the sharp edge straight at Uchiha Taiga's neck.
*Crack! Crack! Crack!*
At the same time, the ground beneath Senju Hashirama split open. Several thick, dense branches shot out from under his feet, hurtling toward Uchiha Taiga and sealing off all his escape routes.
The two brothers moved simultaneously, their coordination absolutely flawless.
Senju Tobirama blocked Uchiha Taiga's flank, while the branches cut off his front and back. Senju Hashirama stood in the center like a solid reef, waiting for the crashing waves to strike.
They had been waiting for Uchiha Taiga to make this exact move.
From the moment Uchiha Taiga spoke, they knew he would take the initiative to attack.
Through their previous clashes, they had already figured out Uchiha Taiga's combat habits. He liked to strike first, launching his assault the very second he finished speaking.
So they waited right there, letting him throw himself into their trap.
It had to be said, this was the caliber of powerhouses who had survived since the Warring States period. Their combat instincts were simply impeccable.
The kunai in Senju Tobirama's hand thrust toward Uchiha Taiga's neck, its razor-sharp edge leaving a cold gleam in the air.
The branches were also mere moments away from entangling Uchiha Taiga's body. Coming from the front and the back, they formed an airtight encirclement from all directions.
The two brothers had experienced countless battles; their synergy was far too perfect.
Senju Hashirama didn't even need to speak. With just a look or a slight movement—without any verbal communication at all—their attacks could strike the exact same target at the exact same time.
The golden light on Uchiha Taiga's body flashed once more.
This time, it wasn't Light Style, but Susanoo.
A partial Susanoo surged out from his body. It wasn't the towering, dozens-of-meters-tall version, but a half-body manifestation that tightly enveloped him.
The branches hit the Susanoo first. As they whipped against its ribs, it was a test of which would break: the wood or the ethereal bones.
Unsurprisingly, the branches broke.
The thick, dense branches shattered the instant they struck the Susanoo, like bamboo poles smashing against solid rock. They splintered from the tips all the way down to their roots.
Wood splinters flew through the air, clattering loudly as they rained down onto the ground.
Senju Tobirama's kunai arrived a split second later. The tip struck the Susanoo's ribcage with a crisp clink, and the blade shattered.
Uchiha Taiga merely cast a casual glance at him, suddenly feeling the urge to laugh.
After Shimura Danzo in the original timeline, the ninja world finally had a second person who tried to stab a Susanoo with a mere kunai.
Standing safely within the protection of his Susanoo, Uchiha Taiga grinned widely, baring his teeth.
By now, his eyes had shifted from pure white to blood red. Six curved lines, resembling a camera shutter, intertwined to form his unique Mangekyo Sharingan pattern.
"My Byakugan has indeed reached its limit," he said.
He tilted his head, his smile widening. "But I've barely used my Sharingan this entire time. Although the visual prowess of both eyes draws from the same source, I still have more than enough left to fight with my Sharingan."
The moment he finished speaking, the partial Susanoo swung its chakra blade in a wide arc, slashing directly toward Senju Tobirama.
Senju Tobirama's body flickered in place. He tried to use the Flying Thunder God Technique to dodge the strike, but the surrounding space stagnated for a fraction of a second.
That brief hesitation was all it took. Before Tobirama could fully teleport away, the blade came crashing down.
It wasn't that his Flying Thunder God Technique was too slow; rather, the space in that split second had been disrupted by Taiga's visual prowess, making instantaneous teleportation impossible.
As a result, the longsword cleaved right through Senju Tobirama, slicing diagonally from his left shoulder down to his right waist and cutting his body cleanly in two.
The instant he was struck, his body shattered. Like a pile of sand scattering in the wind, he began to disintegrate from the point of impact, turning into pale ash that drifted through the air.
The powder drifted down from the sky and settled on the ground like a pile of dead ashes.
The aftershock of the slash didn't stop there. After tearing through Senju Tobirama, it continued its forward momentum, hurtling straight toward Senju Hashirama.
The aftershock wasn't the blade itself, but the sheer wind pressure from the strike. It pressed down from the air, slamming into Senju Hashirama's chest like an invisible fist.
Senju Hashirama was sent flying by the sheer force. His feet left the ground as he was launched over a dozen meters backward, bouncing twice on the earth before finally crashing into a large boulder and coming to a halt.
Uchiha Taiga didn't pause. His partial Susanoo launched into the air, closing the distance to Senju Hashirama at blinding speed. Bearing down from above, he swung the massive chakra blade down toward Hashirama's head in a vicious, overhead cleave.
*Boom!*
Senju Hashirama had just gotten back to his feet. Before he could even steady himself, the blade arrived.
The longsword split him right down the middle, from the top of his head to the soles of his feet, carving a deep trench into the ground beneath him.
Just like Senju Tobirama, Senju Hashirama's body began to disintegrate from the point of impact, turning into pale ash that scattered into the wind.
By the time the ash settled on the ground, Senju Tobirama's body had already begun to regenerate.
The pale powder floated up from the earth, gathering in the air like dust caught in an updraft.
The ash gathered faster and faster, shifting from a scattered cloud into a dense, solidifying mass.
Senju Hashirama's body regenerated in the exact same manner, reforming inch by inch from his feet all the way up to his head.
He stood there, his clothes and hair completely restored to their previous state, his facial expression entirely unchanged.
The two brothers' bodies fully recovered one after the other.
This was the primary advantage of a Reanimation body. They were essentially immortal; as long as the jutsu remained active and the sacrifices weren't destroyed, their bodies could regenerate an infinite number of times.
Shattered and restored, shattered and restored—they could never truly be killed.
However, facing Uchiha Taiga's current state, the two of them were struggling to hold their ground.
Their attacks couldn't pierce Uchiha Taiga's Susanoo, even Senju Tobirama's speed couldn't completely overwhelm him, and their taijutsu failed to gain any advantage.
The only exception would be if Senju Hashirama unleashed his Wood Style giant Buddha again, but Uchiha Taiga was no pushover either.
Although his Fudo Myoo construct had shattered and his Tenseigan Chakra Mode had deactivated, no one knew if he had any other trump cards hidden away, or if he could activate that mode a second time.
Simply put, under these circumstances, it would be incredibly difficult for the two of them to defeat Uchiha Taiga.
Unless the Kage watching from afar swarmed him all at once, combined with the two brothers going all out without holding anything back, there might be a sliver of hope. But no matter how one looked at it, the odds were slim.
After all, those Kage had absolutely no desire to make an enemy out of Uchiha Taiga. Rasa's earlier shout of "Taiga, we are not enemies!" had already made their stance perfectly clear.
Senju Hashirama stood there, looking at Uchiha Taiga with a highly complex expression.
His lips moved as if he wanted to say something, but no words came out.
Senju Tobirama stood on the other side, gripping a kunai with a cold expression, refusing to waste any more breath.
Uchiha Taiga remained where he was, his body still encased in his Susanoo. He didn't press the attack, instead waiting for them to charge at him again.
Right at that moment, with a loud *poof*, the two brothers' figures vanished into puffs of white smoke.
Both of them had disappeared.
Over by the town, Orochimaru had appeared at some unknown point. He stood at the edge of the town wall, holding a one-handed hand sign.
Standing right beside him were Senju Hashirama and Senju Tobirama.
Orochimaru looked at Uchiha Taiga standing atop the rubble in the distance. He licked his lips and smiled.
"Taiga, how about we call it an end here for today?"
His tone sounded as casual as if he were discussing a trivial matter with a friend.
In the distance, Uchiha Taiga stood on the pile of rubble. He looked at Orochimaru, the Senju brothers beside him, and the surrounding Kage, ninja, and samurai.
He broke into a wide grin.
"You want me to stop?"
His voice carried across the distance, echoing clearly in everyone's ears.
"But I'm really pissed off right now."
Hearing this, everyone present felt their hearts sink.
An inexplicable pressure washed over them. Even the smile on Orochimaru's face froze.
