Chapter 49: One day left
Frenley and Mia arrive right as the troll finishes regenerating its entire leg. The wounds on its face were long gone; each of its hands had five fingers. But even if its wounds were gone and healed, the troll’s new leg didn't have armor to protect it. Mia pulled her arms back and swung her sword with all of her strength and power. The ice greatsword dug into the flesh of the troll’s knee.
It broke apart as the sword lunged itself deep within the stone skin and red muscle. She pulled back and dodged a punch from the troll sideways. The troll's fist crashed into the ground, making a cloud of dirt. Frenley pointed his left hand at the troll’s head as he shot two ice shards at it. One of the ice shards pierced the troll's right ear, doing minimal damage. The other shot pierced the troll's right eye. The eye froze, a single black hole deep within it.
It gave Frenley chills to see such a sight. The ice shard exploded inside the skull of the troll. But even that didn't stop the troll, which raged in anger and charged at the couple. Mia could not get out of the way, so she activated her increased defense, holding her sword horizontally. The troll crashed into the greatsword. Mia groans as she is pushed back a couple of steps. Frenley teleports onto the troll's back.
A wave of ice magic appeared as he landed on the troll's hunched-back. Frenley pushed his sword deep into the unprotected skin that makes up the troll's neck. His sword did not go far into the troll's stone skin and hardened muscles. A small drop of blood dripped out of the wound. He clicks his tongue as he jumps off the troll's back. Soon, one of the troll’s hands smashed the area where Frenley was a second ago.
Frenley rolls on the ground, not even having a second to himself as he dodges backward as the troll tries to kick him. The troll turns to face Frenley as it smashes the ground with both of its hands. The ground shakes as cracks appear on the earth. The troll flexed his muscles as he pushed his strength into the ground. Large jagged earth spikes come out of the ground, moving in a straight line towards Frenley. Frenley dodged at the last second, only getting a nick in the left leg from one of the earth spikes.
Red blood flowed from the open wound, but such a small wound did not concern the fey. But before the troll could truly focus on Frenley. Mia dug her greatsword into the back of the wounded troll’s knee. The tip of the sword poked from the other side. The wound froze over as the troll roared in pain. The troll turned its upper body around as it reached towards Mia. Risa saw that coming as she shot another three mind-costing and one body point-enhanced ball of magic.
More wounds appeared on the pale skin of Risa; blood ran down her extremities. This gave her a crazy and gory look. Blood dropped onto the ground beneath her. The ball of magic hit the troll in its outstretched arm. The troll's armor blocked some of the damage, but its upper arm was now covered in deep, flash-frozen wounds. The troll’s movement started to visibly slow down. Mia pulled her sword backward, pulling it out of the wound in the troll’s knee. She dodged out of the way as the troll tried to grab her head.
The troll fully turned around, looking at the three of them and grinding his teeth together. He jumped backward as it grabbed a handful of corpses. Frenley saw that coming, as he teleported towards the troll after drinking a mana potion. Frenley appeared on top of the troll's head. A wave of cold magic emanated from Frenley. With sword in hand and the troll about to gorge itself, Frenley wrapped his legs around the troll's neck.
His sword pierced the troll's neck; blood flowed out of the wound like a river. Drenching Frenley's pants. Not that he cared about that as he pushed his sword with all of his strength. Till the tip of the sword poked through the other side and the hilt pressed against the wound. With the flat edge pointed at him, Frenley pressed one hand against the hilt and the other against the flat edge, then pushed with all of his strength.
The palm against the flat edge of the sword gets cut as the blade digs into it. But Frenley does not care, as he saw from the corner of his vision the troll dropping the corpses and going to his neck. A death, if Frenley were alone. Mia's sword cuts into the wounded knee, causing the troll to fall down on one leg. Risa summons two separate instances of her shadow spears after drinking a mana potion.
The shadow spears came from the troll’s shadow and pierced its arms in place. This gave Frenley enough time to push his sword all the way across. Cutting a big chunk of the troll’s neck. Frenley unwrapped his legs around the bloody neck as he jumped off the troll's shoulders. The troll grabbed its bleeding neck as it fell down on its back. Light slowly left its eyes as it tried to talk. But its vocal cords were drowning in its own silky red blood.
Mia walked over to the troll, looking at its eyes as she dug her greatsword into its neck and fully cut it off. The head of the troll rolled towards a corpse pie. And before Frenley could say anything else, Mia cut the head in half, then in half again. The four pieces that once made the troll's head bled into the ground below.
‘Main boss defeated, level up available’
“Frenley!!”
Risa's voice cut through the post-battle silence. The short woman pressed her finger into Frenley's chest, her wounds healed as she drank her only healing potion.
“From now on, you shut your little cute lips when in battle! I don't need you jinxing us! Only speak when you notice something about the boss, capisce?” Risa said with a serious tone, but her eyes were playful, and her lips were resting in a half-smirk.
“Of course, my lady! It will never happen again… Also, you know that is cultural appropriation, right?”
Mia laughed with her whole body, holding her sides as tears formed on the corners of her eyes.
“…That was a good joke. I will give you that.” Risa said, grabbing the man by the collar of his robe and pulling him down for a quick kiss.
Frenlye kissed his lover with no second thoughts; he was about to push her closer to his body, but then he remembered his bloody pants and stopped. The kiss broke after a few seconds. Risa smiled up at him, patting his cheek as she turned to look at Mia.
The tall woman was already bending down to get her own kiss, which Risa happily provided. Frenley looked at the kissing girls with a soft smile. He noticed they were running low on time. Once the girls separated, Frenley pointed with his thumb towards the fort.
“Let's go and see if we can find a site of rest before calling it a night.”
“Sounds good to me, love,” Mia said with a soft smile as she leaned in to kiss him. Frenley happily kissed his girlfriend. Breaking the kiss after a few seconds.
With smiles on all of their faces, the trio started to walk towards the fort. The group talked softly between each other as they walked. It didn't take long for them to find a site of rest that was close to the fort, but that was a problem for them tomorrow.

Frenley received a video call right as he came out of the bathroom. Seeing the name of who was calling him, he smiled as he answered the call. What greeted him were two groggy naked girls, cuddling next to each other. Sadly, they were covered with a blanket.
“Morning… babe,” Risa said, with half-closed eyes.
“Buenos días, mi corazón de melón…”(Good morning, my melon heart). Mia spoke with eyes closed, her face pressing against Risa's chest.
Frenley giggles at the girls' sleepy voices.
“Morning, my darlings. I see that yesterday's sins are catching up to y'all.”
“Yes…” Both girls said at the same time, eliciting another soft chuckle from the man.
Frenley walked over to his kitchen as he got ready to make himself some breakfast. He rested the phone on the wall so that the girls could look at him while he prepared his breakfast.
“Um... what's you cooking?” Risa said as she was the only one focusing on the video.
“Nothing really, just gonna serve myself some cereal and milk.”
“Good…when it's our date?”
“I will come get you around eight PM, dear.”
“Nice..I shall try and be functional at that time.”
“Haha, looking forward to it. Is Mia sleeping?”
“Let me sleep...” Mia said, eyes still closed as she cuddled closer to Risa. Of everyone, Frenley didn't expect the tall woman to be the little spoon. Especially with Risa, who was at least a foot smaller than her.
“She doesn't seem like a morning person, it seems,” Frenley said with a soft smile as he poured milk into his cereal. He grabbed his phone once more and walked to the table as he set it down.
“Frenley, I want cereal… give me some.”
Frenley raised an eyebrow at Risa's comment, smiling softly.
“How about I pass by your house and give you some? Then I can take Mia to her apartment.”
“Yay, I am gonna ride, Fren...” Mia said, raising one hand into a fist.
“That is tomorrow, bimbo... It's tomorrow, right, babe?” Risa asked, not really sure what day it was
“Yes, babe, it will be tomorrow,” Frenley said, barely containing his excitement about claiming the two women as his.

POV: Butterfly
He held the heart of the sacrificed over the silver mirror. Letting the blood flow out of it and onto it. The sun shone high at its peak. As the light hit the blood-covered silver mirror, it began to glow and shake. The man smiled, then laughed, then cried as the blood on the mirror started to change. Showing him images of the two girls he was coming for. Naked, holding each other and begging for him. The man reached out and grabbed some of the blood on the silver mirror.
But as he did, the image changed to show a man. A man he intensely recognized as Frenley. Anger built up in his system as his hand clenched into a tight fist.
“THEY ARE A MAN?! NO NO! THEY HAVE TO BE VIRGINS, SWEET VIRGINS! THEIR WOMBS MUST BE CLEAN. I NEED TO CLAIM THEM. MINE MINE MINE! MY BITCHES!”
The man said, with the rage of a madman. Soon the image in the blood changes again, showing a city, then street names, then the state. Such things would mean nothing to a sane person, but the madness within the eyes of the man reveals things not meant for the mind of a mortal.
He knew that street; he could calculate his distance to the city from his current position. A day of straight walking, then another day to find the bastard before he claims the virgin wombs of the girls that are rightfully his. The man stood up, rushing out of the warehouse. His steps had a purpose; his mind was focused on a single goal as the sun, high in the sky, watched over him.
The butterfly's soft fluttering had finally caused the tornado. With each step the crazy man took to end the life of an innocent man, the sun got even brighter. Madness slowly started to take hold around the world. Blood spilled in his name, chants spoken by knowledge-hungry cultists, and the ignorant none the wiser.
