They started to eat their food under the soft shade of the umbrella. Risa was the first to end the silence, as she finished swallowing her sushi.

“So is the boss dead? I died and woke up, so I didn't hear Alice's announcement”

“Yeah, the boss died, and we have another level up available,” Mia said as she ate her sandwich.

“Happy to hear that. I should have used my healing potion. But I thought it was better to use it on Risa, if we could even do that. But die before I could even do that.” Frenley said as he ate some of the fried rice, the blunder of not using his healing potion was not lost on him.

“Well, the fact that you even walked skinless and helped me kill the boss is a miracle within itself, love.”

The tall beauty said, patting her male lover's shoulder. Frenley smiled at the compliment and nodded his head.

“Did he look cool while doing it?” Risa asks as she dips some of her sushi in soy sauce.

“As cool as one can get when they have no skin, and you can see their muscles contracting and relaxing. Blood is seeping out of their bodies with each step.” Risa said, cringing as she remembered the scene.

“None taken, it was quite the disgusting feeling,” Frenley spoke. “But it was not as bad as pulling myself and my skin.”

“Ugh, tell me about it, it felt the same way when you pull on that little piece of skin next to your nails.” The tall woman's words make Risa shiver with disgust.

“That sounds fucking horrific.. let's stop talking about it.” The short woman said as she tried to stomach her sushi.

“So what should our next step be? More side and random bosses? I really do wish to give another try against the winter wolf.” Frenley said as he played with his plastic utensil.

“I can use my ability to see what other bosses are around, but we are getting to the point where we have to tackle the city and then the fort,” Risa said as she ate her last sushi.

“Good idea, and yeah, we are slowly getting to the endgame of the first region. I wonder what the next one will be about.” Mia said as she cleaned her fingers on a napkin.

Frenley just nodded his head as he finished eating his meal as well. He rested his head on his hand as he looked at the girls. Enjoying the look on their faces. The girls notice his look and smile at him.

“The rune is good for everyone, but it will be the most useful for you, love. Since it boosts Soul.” Mia said as she passed the rune to Frenley

“I agree,” Risa said with her smile never fading.

“Now what rune do we upgrade?” Frenley asked as he took out the upgrade shard.

“All runes are really strong, but I am leaning towards Risa’s rune,” Mia said as she crossed her arms.

“Why?” Frenley asks, not to judge but to understand her thought process.

“The more info on bosses, the better our chances of killing it on the first try. Plus, if things like what the spider bitch did start to become common, the knowledge that she will do that will be helpful”

“I agree with your statement, dear,” Frenley said, looking at Risa.

“I say Mia’s rune deserves an upgrade, but seeing as you two are in agreement, I accepted it and thank you,” Risa said as she grabbed the rune and used it. Both Frenley and Mia said "welcome" as they watched the magic unfold.

Risa's eyes started to glow as golden tears fell from them. Falling to the floor and staining it. A few seconds pass before her eyes stop shedding golden tears. Risa cleans her face, Mia licking away the golden residue. As the kitsune opens her eyes, her two lovers look at her with wide eyes.
