Back in Ilioven, Flinx didn't want to spend too much time there since he still wanted to continue his journey. Even though it was already late, he asked Olivia to take him to the shop so he could replenish its inventory.
While they were inside the carriage Olivia had purchased, which was being driven by the driver she had hired, she told Flinx about the status of the shop.
Olivia explained that even though there were many shops producing similar products, none had been able to successfully replicate the quality of their candles, soaps, and loofahs.
The fact that their supplies of candles, soaps, and loofahs were still limited meant that the other shops didn't mind their success too much. Basically, Olivia's shop products were considered exclusive items for the wealthy.
What it meant was that Olivia's shop was still considered the best of the best, and its earnings remained extremely high.
She told Flinx that the chest where he had instructed her to store his earnings was already full and that he needed to add more chests.
Flinx told Olivia that he could handle that part, so she simply nodded.
Olivia informed him that Ambrose was still studying to become a successful adventurer, while Christopher had begun working in a restaurant as an assistant chef.
She told him that Ambrose would graduate the following month and would then begin working as an adventurer.
"Do you want me to assign an elemental to guard him and make sure he's safe?" Flinx asked Olivia.
Olivia's eyes widened at the suggestion.
"That would be nice, but can you make sure that his guardian remains unnoticed and only takes action if his life is in danger?"
Flinx told her that he could do that.
He would summon a wind elemental since it could remain inconspicuous and command it to guard Ambrose against any fatal danger. He would make sure that the elemental only intervened when death was inevitable. If Ambrose knew that something powerful was constantly protecting him, he might become careless, which would hinder his growth.
He would send the elemental to Ambrose once the boy began delving into dungeons, which, according to Olivia, was still a month or two away.
At least Christopher, who wanted to become a chef, didn't need something like a guardian to keep him safe. Olivia and the shop were already protected by a couple of powerful earth elementals, which had been named the Rockies.
Olivia also told him that they hadn't received any messages from the four children, but that was expected since Flinx had only recently visited the Mage Guild to provide additional funds for their studies.
When they arrived at the shop, Flinx spent $12,000 from his System Shopping Site to replenish the shop's inventory. The supplies should last for approximately three months.
Olivia told him that the chest in his room back home contained approximately 180,000 gold coins.
At the moment, Flinx had 100,000 dollars remaining in his System Shopping Site since he had spent several thousand dollars on expenses during his journey and while delving into the wild dungeon with his friends.
That meant Flinx's total funds were as follows:
104,000 gold coins in his fourth tab space, 100,000 dollars in his System Shopping Site, and 180,000 gold coins inside the chest in his room in the tower.
As for Olivia's wealth, Flinx had no idea how many coins she had already saved for herself, and he honestly didn't care.
Since he was taking stock of his total wealth, Flinx also checked the number of mana stones remaining in his fourth tab space.
He had approximately 6,572 low-level mana stones, 5,812 medium-level mana stones, and 2,495 high-level mana stones.
All things considered, Flinx considered himself wealthy.
Regarding his classes, his Wizard class was level 12, with 85 percent of the experience required to reach level 13. He had earned a few additional experience points while delving into the wild dungeon.
His Cleric class, which he had mistakenly believed was limited to level five but could actually reach the same maximum level as his Wizard class—level 30—was now level 8, with 12 percent of the experience required to reach level 9.
Flinx thought that reaching level 30 in both classes would be vastly different from that famous fantasy tabletop role-playing game he believed the Earthling system was based on.
He imagined that if he ever reached those levels, he might consider himself a god by then.
After replenishing the shop's inventory, Flinx told Olivia that he would be leaving to continue his journey. He would speak to her occasionally, probably only a few times each month.
Olivia understood and promised Flinx that the household would remain stable in his absence.
She admitted that, with only the three elementals guarding the family—the two Rockies and Pondy—their family was considered a medium-level power in the area where they lived.
The fact that Olivia and her brothers didn't even have to leave the city to earn the family's money meant that they remained relatively safe.
Before Flinx left, Olivia asked for his opinion on her finding a husband.
Apparently, Olivia, at twenty-eight years old, felt that she was running out of time to start a family. Now that she had accumulated enough wealth, she thought it was time for her to settle down.
Flinx was startled and asked whether she already had a suitor.
She replied that several men had expressed interest and that she was in the process of finding a suitable husband.
Flinx thought that Olivia was old and mature enough to take care of herself.
"If you find yourself a husband and marry him, I'll give you your own tower. You should start designing the kind of tower you want to have."
Flinx then gave her the specifications that Galder's Tower could have when his thirteenth-level spell slot was used.
It was the same information he had sent to his friends on Earth through the chat system so that Paul could have designers and architects create different tower designs.
"I advise you to find a professional designer to design the tower of your dreams when you're ready to have your own," Flinx told Olivia, who was excitedly studying the parameters of the tower.
After that, Flinx left and returned to the log cabin he had set up near the lake outside Riverside Town.
Once he arrived, Flinx took a long, hot shower to relax before ordering a huge dinner from his System Shopping Site.
While eating, he also read one of the novels from the Saga of Recluce. After dinner, he continued reading from a chair beside the fireplace, which was near the window overlooking the lake.
The moon was already out, allowing the lake to be seen clearly from inside the cabin. The view was incredibly beautiful.
The lake at night, illuminated by the moon, looked mysterious, magical, and slightly eerie.
Flinx wasn't worried that monsters would suddenly emerge from the lake or the forest. Pip was there, keeping watch with its eyes, while a powerful elemental was guarding his safety.
After a while, he became tired enough to sleep. He closed the window and slept until morning.
The next day, Flinx dispelled his magical cabin and continued his journey.
He wondered what he would do once winter arrived.
Flinx thought that even if snow came, he would continue traveling alone. If the weather eventually became severe enough to prevent him from moving forward, he would simply return to Ilioven and restart his journey in a different direction where winter wouldn't obstruct him.
That would probably mean heading south of the kingdom of Ilinestor.
