Ko-chan’s Chronicles

Chapter 76: Ko-chan’s Crisis (2)

They landed on the next rock, but found themselves in a classroom when they landed. No one was around and the halls were darkened.

"Even from the start, my will and desires were manipulated by those around me."

A clatter was heard down the hall, and the council rushed down the hall. When they slammed open the door, they found a crowd of students inside.

"I grew to accept and appreciate the jokes and games of those close to me, as they genuinely cared for me."

Sakari hurriedly shoved the students aside to get to the center of the circle. As they reached the middle, they saw a shadowy Kogamo in a tutu hanging from a metal frame by her wings, legs strapped to the bottom of the frame, with students all around her. Some were whispering in her ears, some were patting her head, and some were even groping her breasts and crotch.

"But... many people did not, and only used me for their own desires."

"STOP THIS RIGHT NOW!" Sakari screamed at the students, but they didn't stop. They looked over, laughed, and went back to their harassment.

Sakari could see the shadowy Kogamo squirming and trembling and shaking her head back and forth, but there was no way to escape. She was completely locked in place and immobile. She ran up and tried to pull the students away, but she passed right through them.

"Go away. You're interrupting our play time."

"This orgasm will let me get back to first place again. I won't surrender my position."

"If you want to participate, join the queue."

Sakari trembled with rage, but she didn't know what to do to save her.

Naruyo frowned as she examined the situation. "Shadows incorporeal. Cannot influence... physically at least."

Sakari froze up as if she realized she was an idiot. "...Sorry, Naruyo. I was too panicked and didn't think clearly."

Sakari focused her magic and targeted the shadowy students. One by one they stopped and fell to their knees, holding their heads and shrieking. After several seconds, they turned to smoke and dissipated, leaving the shadowy Kogamo alone, panting but looking straight at Sakari.

Sakari walked up and put a hand on her cheek. "You're safe... you won't need to worry about them again. I won't let them hurt you."

"So, it really was you that punished the students at the Carnival. I knew something had happened, since they all disappeared after that day, but I couldn't say for sure if it was you. Thank you for always protecting me from the shadows, Sakari-chan" The shadowy Kogamo smiled and faded away.

Sakari looked back. "My turn this time... see you guys at the top." She faded away as well, leaving just Naruyo and Matsuko behind.

Naruyo looked out the window at the black sun. "...Distance halved. Next destination...confirmed." She pointed at a rock shrouded in darkness. There were no other rocks close enough to jump to, so they had no choice but to take the risk.

* * *

Matsuko and Naruyo landed on the rock and were instantly shrouded in pure darkness.

"I desperately chased you all to try and catch up and stand by your side in the only way I knew how."

"What is this place? Where is Ko-chan?" Matsuko asked when they landed.

Naruyo frowned. "Magical darkness. Reconnaissance impossible."

"Even though I eventually gained the power I desired, the time in between was scary."

"This is... her memory of her blindness training?" Matsuko grit her teeth.

Naruyo looked around. "Likely. We must find Ko-chan."

"I tried not to show how scared I was of the dark, but... I still remember those days..."

"She was hurting this much...why didn't she tell me?" Matsuko's face crumpled in pain.

Naruyo smiled. "She wanted to show you. Best side of self."

Matsuko sighed. "There was no need. I don't need her to be a warrior who can suffer any pain. I just need her to be with me.

Naruyo held up her hand and it swirled with snow magic. "Physical sight, ineffective. Magical sight, viable."

Her magic exploded, filling the darkness with floating snowflakes all the way to the limits of their senses.

Matsuko looked around with spirit sight. "There's movement over there."

Naruyo nodded. "Acknowledged. Intercepting Ko-chan."

After a bit of a chase, Naruyo caught the shadowy Kogamo and rolled on the ground.

The shadowy Kogamo smiled as she was held. "I knew you would find me, Naruyo-chan. No matter what problem I had, you always had the solution. You saved me more times than I can count. Well, you also locked me up more times than I can count. Can we call it even then?" She laughed as she faded away, followed by the darkness itself.

Naruyo smiled. "Good luck, Young Mistress. You can save Ko-chan. I believe."

Naruyo faded away, leaving Matsuko alone.

* * *

Matsuko looked up. There was only a single rock left, and it was sticking out of the side of the sun. She flew up and landed on the rock, but the second she landed, she felt heavy, as if gravity had just doubled.

"Ugh..." Matsuko grimaced from the weight and found that she could no longer fly.

"No matter how much power I gained, it was always under lock and key by my lady."

Matsuko crawled towards the black sun one step at a time, but her steps seemed to get heavier as she got closer. In addition, she felt her various powers fading away one by one."

"Even if I complained, I still gladly played along, but, some day, I want her to know how it feels when the world suddenly goes dark and you are carried off on a whim."

Matsuko grunted, but smiled. "Turnabout is fair play, I suppose. I've certainly done it enough times to pay the price."

She slowly crawled, step by step in her petsuit, while suffering the fading of more and more powers.

A few steps later, she felt her ability to take a deep breath disappear.

After that, the vibrators inside her came back to life.

Even her agility on her elbows and knees faded away, leaving her awkwardly trying to hobble closer to the star.

After an agonizingly long amount of time, she finally passed through the wall of black fire and saw Kogamo, laying in the center of the sun unconscious.

Orbiting around her slowly, were the similarly unconscious forms of Hinari, Sakari, and Naruyo.

Matsuko crawled closer and closer. At some point, rock gave way to solidified starlight.

"I am always protected by My Lady, but my protection comes at the cost of always being behind her."

As she got closer, streams of tape came out of the nearby starlight. They wrapped around Matsuko, giving her dozens of layers of tape. Her steps became even slower, hampered by the reduced flexibility.

"Kept in her shadow, in a small cage to keep me safe."

Next, ropes came out and bound her just like she had done to Kogamo the previous day. One step at a time, all she could do was focus on the ground in front of her.

"No matter what happens, I am always a shivering little fairy, waiting to be saved while everyone around me fights on my behalf."

Silken binders appeared, strapping tight onto Matsuko's body. Even if it meant losing her freedom entirely, she had to save her.

"I need to feel worthy of her. Not just to be protected by her, but also to walk alongside her."

A full petsuit filled with straps and buckles appeared, lacing shut onto her body. Now, she could barely even lift her limbs, resorting to just dragging them along in an awkward shuffle.

"I want to be with My Lady forever, and I want her to be with me forever too."

With just meters between Matsuko and Kogamo, blobs of latex spewed out all around Matsuko, smothering her into yet another layer of bondage.

After what felt like an eternity, she finally reached the center of the sun and pressed her muzzle to Kogamo's. It was all she had left to do after all other movement was stripped away. As soon as they touched, white petsuit to black petsuit, all other senses were also stripped away.

* * *

In that moment, we finally met face to face in the void. Both of us, freed from our burdens, embraced at last.

"I finally found you." Matsuko smiled gently as she firmly hugged Kogamo

"...You saw all my embarrassing thoughts, huh..." I blushed as I buried my face into Matsuko's bare chest.

"I wouldn't have it any other way. I want to know every one of your thoughts and feelings, Ko-chan." Matsuko rubbed my head gently.

"...I also want to know your thoughts. I want us to be together forever." I smiled as I unleashed my deepest desires.

Matsuko looked around at the chaotic space and frowned. "Your mind is a mess, this is what you get for keeping your worries bottled up for so long."

"Ha..ha... I wanted to keep being more amazing in your eyes...I didn't want to worry anyone." I admitted the truth after so long.

"It worries me more when you hide things, Ko-chan. I almost couldn't take it when I thought I was going to lose you again." Matsuko looked at me with worried eyes.

"My Lady... Look, I got a brand new power after sucking that collar dry." I held out my hand and a black vortex appeared, sucking everything in.

Matsuko held up her hand and a white flame appeared. "Black and white, huh?"

The two powers seemed to be attracted to each other, and then they started twisting together.

I looked at the scene in amazement. "...Opposites attract? Then that means my power is..."

Matsuko looked to be in thought. "My power is the power to make things happen, so your power would be to... make things not happen?"

I smiled. "Is that the case? Then let me give you my first order, My Lady! [I forbid you from leaving me.]"

Matsuko seemed surprised for a second, but then as she felt the magic start to take hold, smiled deviously. "Then let me return the favor. [I command you to stay by my side.]"

I felt her magic taking hold, and suddenly, I could feel our two magics intertwine even stronger than the flame and vortex did.

The chaotic surroundings started to shift. A slow whirlwind started to form, and the source was the two of us. Matsuko started to glow in white light, while I was glowing in black light.

The whirlwind smoothed out the unordered flows of magic, and the chaos started to abate. Eventually, the entire area was a mix of black and white swirling in harmony.

A piercing pain lanced through my head and I staggered, being held by Matsuko.

"What's wrong, Ko-chan? Are you hurt?" Matsuko started to panic.

"I feel... like my brain is about to explode... my everything is about to explode..." I hung in her arms, panting heavily.

"...Let's get out of here. There's no time." Matsuko picked me up and with a surge of will, we disappeared.

* * *

Matsuko pulled her head away from mine as we woke from our trance. We were still in the center of the sun, but I could tell something was wrong and we were running out of time.

I staggered to my feet, but I realized I was still in My Lady's petsuit. And not only that, she was in a petsuit that looked even thicker than mine.

"There's no time for games anymore. [These petsuits should not exist.]" With a single command, the petsuits dissolved. Neither Glacial Flamesilk nor Flame Latex could withstand my command, they merely turned to sparks of magic and faded away.

I climbed to my feet and helped Matsuko stand up as well. She seemed to be exhausted and in bad shape, but she could stand, so I didn't have time to worry about it

"[The exit should not be closed.]" I held out my hand and a portal immediately whirled into existence.

"Hurry, let's get the others and leave!" I yelled at Matsuko as I pulled Hinari down by the leg.

"Yes, My Fairy~" Matsuko made fun of the way I called her name, but I would deal with her later. She grabbed both Sakari and Naruyo under each arm and we both jumped into the portal. The space started to crumble after we left, leaving nothing behind in the end.
