Chapter 46: Ko-chan’s Overload (1)
Matsuko sat down and looked like she lost the will to live. "Sakari-chan. I've never asked you for advice before, but I'm going to now.
Sakari examined Matsuko and gasped "Matsuko... I've never seen you like this. What happened?"
Matsuko sighed. "Has anyone in your family reached the level of flight?"
Sakari frowned and thought. "I think I saw the great ancestor fly before. They say he meditated for two hundred years on the concept of nothingness before he was able to eliminate his own weight and achieve flight."
Matsuko smiled bitterly. "That sounds about right. What if I told you there was someone who heard the phrase 'Why do you have to fall' and then immediately flew into the air."
Sakari thought for a second then burst into laughter. "So, Ko-chan is at it again huh? Did it hurt you that badly?"
Matsuko laughed sadly "No. The truth is, now, by borrowing our connection, I can also fly. You would think I should be ecstatic about this, and can't wait to show off to those know-nothing elders, but... I feel so empty inside. Like all the effort I've ever put in is worthless."
Sakari sat down next to her and gave her a hug, "Weren't you the one who was always telling us 'Just wait, she'll prove you wrong' 'She will amaze you all'? Why are you the one that's having the hardest time accepting it?"
Matsuko sighed heavily "I suppose... for the first time in my life, I am jealous of someone. Something I've chased for years, and she did it just because someone told her 'Who told you you can't?' It's so frustrating."
Sakari made a big show of being shocked, "Wait. Our Flame of Judgement has emotions other than 'mad', 'punish', and 'playing with my food'? I don't believe it!"
She ran towards the stairs and yelled up the stairs "Guys, come here! Ma-" She didn't finish her sentence before a hand gripped her neck from behind and engulfed it with fire. When the fire disappeared, the lower half of her mouth was covered in Flame Tape.
Matsuko dropped Sakari to the ground and smiled "What was that you just said about 'mad' and 'punish'? Sounds like some food begging to be played with." She grinned while making a show of cracking her knuckles and looking down at Sakari.
When Naruyo came down from the second floor, all she saw in the foyer was Sakari, kneeling on the table covered in Flame Tape with her legs frogtied, arms in a reverse prayer, magic symbols on her stomach and nipples caused vibrators buzz all over her body, and her mouth and eyes wrapped tight. A small note with the words, "I have a big mouth." Was placed on the table between her legs.
"Karmic judgement. Never hits wrong target." Naruyo smiled and spoke to Sakari before returning to her room.

The next morning, I awakened early and went out to the hall. I heard someone at the end of the hall looking out the window. I flew down towards them.
"Um.. good morning, a person I can't see." I couldn't identify them until they started speaking
"Good morning to you, Ko-chan, I see you are as lively as usual" Hinari rubbed my head and smiled.
"Hinari-chan! I still can't believe you finished the rest of that training so quickly! The magic circles were going crazy in the tank after you figured out the trick!" I was not light with my praise.
"I still can't stand up to you, Ko-chan. You've finally become a true fairy" Hinari laughed a little as I flitted around her excitedly.
"Shall we go see the others downstairs?" I flew off down the hall, and almost bumped into Matsuko by the stairs.
"Ko-chan...Why are your wings flapping? You don't need wings to fly." Matsuko immediately noticed, like I hoped she would.
"My Lady, good morning~" I cheerfully greeted her. "He he. What kind of fairy flies without flapping her wings? Obviously, if I'm going to fly I have to flap my wings, otherwise it would look really weird!" I smiled, feeling accomplished.
Matsuko let out a groan of disgust.
Hinari walked up, laughing "Ma-chan, remember, if you get mad about it, you lose. Just let it go."
Matsuko groaned again "Ugh... You're right. Let's go downstairs."
Hinari spoke up first "So, who did Sakari piss off? I guess she's covered in Flame Tape, so the culprit is obvious. The note reads 'I have a big mouth.'"
I spoke up as soon as I heard Hinari "What does that mean? Her mouth seems like a normal size to me."
Hinari tried to stifle a laugh, and Matsuko tried to ignore her nonsense.
Naruyo was the last one to join, placing a big binder and a large box on the table.
"Release her. Plans to share." Naruyo motioned towards Sakari.
Matsuko touched the tape on Sakari's eyes, causing it to dissolve instantly. She also rubbed her finger, causing the vibrators to stop vibrating. "She can listen just fine like this." Sakari tried to protest, but all she managed to do was shake her naked chest around, much to Matsuko's amusement.
Naruyo smirked, "Good enough. Listen up. Final casino plans."
She handed out small packets of paper to Matsuko and Hinari, and held one up in front of me.
Naruyo frowned, but then realized I couldn't even see what she was holding up.
Hinari looked at the diagrams and then flipped the page over.
"These events are all..." Hinari questioned Naruyo.
"Fan favorite. Decided by poll." Naruyo said solemnly.
Matsuko started reading off the paper. "Date auction for Ko-chan's date" "Photo booth with Ko-chan" "Ko-chan's Merch Booth" "Ko-chan Challenge"
"What is a Ko-chan Challenge?" She looked at Naruyo doubtfully.
"Sequence of missions. Experience Ko-chan's development. Live a day in Ko-chan's shoes." Naruyo flipped to the next page and indicated the list.
Hinari smirked as she read the list. "Ballet Boot Beam Walk" "Mittened Tea Delivery" "Winged Obstacle Course" "Armbinder Cuddle Dodge" "Vibrating Class Time" "Silent Cry For Help" "Hobbled Stair Hop" "Blind Class Change"
"Someone sure has been studying Ko-chan's school records this year. Is there really someone who can accomplish all of these?" Hinari seemed doubtful.
I chimed in, "Obviously, there's at least one person!"
Hinari rubbed my head, "I mean other than you, Ko-chan!"
Naruyo smiled "Multiple levels. Normal challenge easier. Most can clear. Enjoyable. Secret level. Very difficult. Fail in despair."
"So the students will be able to replay the hardest moments from my life at school this year?" I smiled.
Matsuko also smiled. "Everyone should know how much you've suffered to get to your current position, Ko-chan."
"What do you get for succeeding?" I asked Naruyo.
"Collectable pin. Collect all eight. Form Ko-chan's image." Naruyo held up a cardboard sheet with eight pins that arranged to form a tiny Ko-chan in her tutu.
I flew up and shouted "Wait, I want to see!" Only to get pulled back down by someone and pulled onto their lap.
"If you want to see, hurry and unlock your spiritual sight!" Matsuko whispered in my ear and hugged me so I couldn't fly around.
Hinari reached out for the cardboard, but it was snatched away.
"Want? Complete challenge." Naruyo put the pins away and continued on.
"And, if they complete the secret level?" Matsuko asked.
Naruyo smiled and said. "Complete secret level. Ko-chan's personal congratulations."
I shifted around in Matsuko's arms. "I can't wait to see if people can clear it~"
Naruyo flipped the page and continued her speech. "Photo booth. Limited slots. Exclusive Ko-chan photos."
Next she held up the next page with pictures on it to show everyone. "Ko-chan merch. Many items. Months of work."
I whined again and kicked at Matsuko's legs. "Tell me what there is! It's my stuff!"
Matsuko laughed. "It looks like replicas of various things you've worn. There's your boots, wings, and tutus. Looks like someone could look just like you if they buy everything."
"Should I be happy or sad about this? Then there would be lots of little fairies at school!" I pouted a bit.
Matsuko rubbed my head, "Even if they wore your costume, they would never be little, Ko-chan."
Naruyo flipped to the last page. "Date auction. Ko-chan's midnight date. Highest bidder. Highest vote percentage."
Matsuko smirked "Oh, they think they can win a date with my Ko-chan? I'm allowed to bid, right?"
Naruyo smiled, "No rules. All bids legal. Casino Night presentation concluded." She flipped the stack of paper closed and put it on the desk.
Hinari spoke up when she read the last event name, "Wait. What does any of this have to do with casinos? It's all about Ko-chan."
Sakari chuckled, "Yeah, fair enough. Should we change the name then? I suggest Fairy Festival."
Matsuko fell into thought, then looked up "What about Ko-chan Carnival? These events all feel like things you'd see at a carnival. Photo booths, merch stalls, games where people try to do various difficult feats. Most importantly, it's all about Ko-chan, so she should be in the name."
My brain was buzzing with the idea that everyone was so excited to see, learn about, and buy stuff related to me. "Ko-chan Carnival. My carnival. He he he..."
Naruyo saw my reaction and smiled and crossed out the name at the top of the paper. "Name decided. Ko-chan Carnival it is. Moving on."
Naruyo moved the box to the center of the table. "Prepare for new costume. Ko-chan, don't ruin surprise."
Matsuko laughed. "It seems Naruyo made something special for you, but it will take some time. Won't you go to the basement and practice your flying? I hope you can move with as much agility as you did before on the ground."
I frowned. "But I wanted to see the gift."
Matsuko picked me up off her lap. "You'll see it soon enough, now off you go." She tossed me into the air and I hung there. I flew off towards the basement since I had already memorized the floorplan of the house."
