The thick parchment bore an elegant, looping script that was immediately recognizable.
Dear Nero,
Please come to my office at your earliest convenience.
I have news to share.
Albus Dumbledore.
Nero wasted no time making his way to the Headmaster's office.
The enchanted gargoyle moved aside as soon as he uttered the password, and moments later, he stepped inside the circular room filled with whirring instruments and softly flickering candlelight.
Dumbledore sat behind his desk, his expression as serene as ever, though his blue eyes gleamed with intrigue.
"Ah, Nero. Please, have a seat," Dumbledore gestured to a plush chair in front of him.
