Teen Wolf:Predator’s Path

Chapter 165 Disaster

Malia immediately growled threateningly at Brett, her eyes turned blue and her claws came out. But she suddenly felt Lucas' hand on her shoulder and she slowly calmed down.

Lucas didn't even glance at the little werewolf that was trying to be threatening, he just patted Malia's shoulder gently.

After seeing her calm down, he finally gazed back at Brett. "You got courage." He then looked around at the desolate forest. "But not enough to live among humans, it seems."

"This is our way!" Brett didn't back down, instead, he took a step forward.

Slowly all the pack members surrounded them, making it look like now Lucas was the helpless one. In the face of more than a dozen werewolves, Lucas smiled in satisfaction.

"What a wonderful united pack." He scanned the members slowly, he could see teenagers and older adults. "I guess you will not bend the knee willingly?"

He only got cold gazes from them, but this didn't discourage him. "Well…have your way."

Some of the older members stepped closer, then one of them suddenly grabbed Malia by her hand.

Lucas' eyes dropped lower, his previous relaxed manner disappeared. Before Malia could do something, he grabbed the man by his jaw and lifted him in the air.

"Let go of me!" The man tried to struggle, he even swung with his claws at Lucas' arm, but in the shock of him and everyone else, nothing happened.

Brett lunged forward trying to help his pack member, but Lucas slapped his chest and made him slide all the way down at the feet of other members.

On the ground Brett looked back at Lucas with an unbelievable expression, just from a palm he felt like his chest almost caved in.

"Enough!" A voice came from behind the pack members, it was Satomi. She breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that none of her members died.

While still holding the man in the air, Lucas glanced at Satomi without his usual patience. "Your people are very impulsive."

Satomi glanced at her pack members then looked at Lucas with a serious expression. "Let him go."

Without responding he threw the man straight at the crowd, luckily they managed to catch him.

In that moment shadows wrapped around Lucas and in an instant he appeared behind Satomi. She instantly felt her spine shiver and by instinct she turned, striking with her arm straight at his throat.

Lucas grabbed her hand with no effort and squeezed it hard, and watched as her expression trembled in pain. "Tell me your choice."

Satomi gritted her teeth as she tried not to let the pain get the better of herself. "You said I have time till you deal with the Nogitsune!"

His lips slowly turned upward, "Why do you think I'm here?"

Her face trembled in shock, she didn't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing. "You defeated the Nogitsune?!"

"Defeated? I do not defeat! I kill!" His voice resounded as thunder throughout the forest, his eyes turned crimson red and all the members of her pack trembled in fear.

"Impossible!" Satomi shook her head constantly as this was something she couldn't even imagine. But Lucas' serious expression made her think otherwise.

Still being surrounded by the pack, Malia looked at the spot next to her then at Lucas in the distance with a question mark on her face.

She wasn't the only one who noticed this, Brett was stunned too by Lucas' unnatural teleportation. He had never seen a creature so fast before.

Satomi didn't have that much of a chance to think about this, as she was facing enormous pressure.

"Do you think you can break my spirit?" She gritted her teeth in pain and didn't want to back down. She was afraid that once she agreed, her children would become nothing more than thugs used as pawns to be discarded.

"I don't need to break your spirit!" Lucas gave her a slight smile and looked at her pack members. "All I need is to break their spirit, or to put it more bluntly, break their bones."

Satomi felt her heart jolt, "There are children among them, are you really going to hurt them?"

Lucas gazed into her eyes thoughtfully, then glanced at the scared teenagers amongst the group. His eyes closed for a few seconds, and his hand around her arm loosened.

Just as Satomi's eyes had a spark of hope in them, Lucas opened his eyes and no warmth could be seen in them. Just a growing killing intent, one that sent shivers down her spine.

Just standing near him made her blood freeze, her face became pale as she got the answer, only it wasn't the one that she wanted.

"Tell me!" Lucas' voice became colder and you could hear cracking sounds from his body, as if a monster was about to come out.
