Chapter 101 Banshee
Suddenly, all the attention was drawn towards Lucas and Stiles. Even Lydia broke out of her daze and looked at them.
"I don't know what you mean!" Stiles glanced around and peeked at Lydia, but quickly turned his head away.
Seeing his denying look, Lucas shook his head. Maybe he would die a virgin before he could get her.
But he didn't really care that much, in fact, he was quite interested in Lydia himself. Her Banshee powers, to be more specific.
To the surprise of the others, he sat face to face with her and spoke. "Do you see something?"
His tone was very curious, and his eyes stared deeply into hers.
Lydia's pupils dilated at his sudden question. She wasn't sure if he knew what had been happening to her recently, or if it was just a casual question.
"What do you mean?" She forced a smile onto her lips as she blinked curiously.
The others glanced at him in confusion, while Allison was confused as well, she felt that Lucas had a reason for his sudden interest in Lydia.
Lucas focused his hearing on her heart and smiled when he felt a ripple.
If she had "seen" something about him, her reaction would have changed the moment she saw him, but only when he asked that question it truly reveal something.
"You know that lying is not good, right?"
She tightened her hands around her purse harder, but she still chose to smile as if she had no idea what he was talking about.
"You should trust your friends…" Lucas chose to give her one final piece of advice. He felt a little bad for her.
Not because he killed Jackson, he was not a magical doctor, he couldn't just magically cure him.
But because of what she would go through while thinking she was losing her mind.
Lydia didn't know what to say to his advice, but when she gazed into his eyes, for some reason she felt understood.
She then averted her gaze, got up, and left in a hurry.
Just as Stiles got up to follow her, Scott pulled him back down and gestured towards Lucas with his eyes.
Lucas noticed their little gestures and sat down next to Allison while observing them.
"Talk or leave."
They looked at each other, and Scott finally decided to be the one speaking. "Derek is recruiting teenagers like crazy! We must do something!"
Lucas was honestly confused by Scott. Although after getting the money his anger faded a little, it didn't mean he suddenly saw him in a brand new light.
Even if he forgave him completely, the trust was broken. He didn't need a preacher in his life.
"And…?"
Stiles had a look as if he had expected this reaction. He had told Scott earlier that this wouldn't work. The only fortunate thing for his fragile body was that Lucas was only angry with Scott.
Scott was visibly stumped by his indifference. Before he could respond, Allison spoke instead.
"Shouldn't we do something about Derek?" She didn't like the idea of an Alpha going around and turning people into Werewolves.
Lucas became more serious since Allison was the one asking the question. "No, let him be."
Then he turned towards Stiles and Scott.
"Besides… you're just some teenagers, go touch some grass, or touch yourself… whatever, it doesn't matter."
"Pfff!" Allison quickly covered her mouth.
His words cut deep into their hearts. Stiles looked at the spot where Lydia had sat in sorrow, while Scott looked at the sky in silence. Allison's laughter made them feel even worse.
Lucas then decided to leave, he grabbed Allison's hand and left unhurriedly.
While they were walking, she couldn't help but analyze him from time to time. "You seem happier than usual."
"Really?" He smiled, then took her in his arms and spun her around a couple of times.
"Whoa!" She tightened her hands around his back as she laughed happily.
They played like this for half an hour, not even mentioning school anymore.
By now they had run back to the field, which was empty. They lay down with their backs on the grass while having their hands interlocked.
As she gazed at the sky, Allison smiled happily. All the pressure she had felt from what happened these past few days seemed to go away.
Seeing her glowing face, Lucas' lips curled upward and he closed his eyes.

While the two of them were having a great time, someone else was having the opposite.
"Ughh!"
As the final blow landed on him, Scott dropped to the ground. He stared unwillingly at Derek, he was too late. Derek had already given the bite to Boyd.
He was now surrounded by all of Derek's pack.
He stared at Boyd and gritted his teeth. "You don't know what you've done! This could kill you!"
Boyd crossed his arms and looked down at Scott. "Derek told me everything, so I think I'm good."
Scott grunted in pain, then started getting back up. "What if Lucas suddenly decided to go against Derek? Do you think you'll be able to do something?!"
