Chapter 90 New Ability
Lucas took a quick shower and then sat cross-legged on his bed. He was trying to connect with his predatory ability.
The moment he sensed his new ability, a smile appeared on his face. He finally got something good.
He got the Kanima's healing factor, which is overwhelming compared to most supernatural creatures.
Now even a strong venom like the Kanima's will have little effect on him or even be completely nullified.
Lucas gripped his hand tightly. He could feel that his strength had increased slightly. He knew that it was time to test his strength carefully.

The next morning, as Lucas stepped out of the car, he could see a couple of police cars parked in front of the school.
While he was walking through the hallway, all he could hear was students talking about the horrifying murder of Matt and Jackson.
When he passed by some girls, he could clearly hear the disgust in their voices.
"The one responsible must be a monster! He even cut Jackson's head off! Why?!"
Lucas stood in the middle of the hallway all alone. All the surrounding students talked about how evil the one responsible was.
He could hear every word and every whisper, as if it were spoken close to his ears. Lucas felt surrounded by a wave of malice.
"Hey!"
Suddenly, he felt a hand on his arm. When he looked over, it was Allison, who also seemed troubled by something.
"Are you alright?"
He smiled and placed his hand over hers. "Of course! But you seem more troubled than me."
Allison glanced at the students around and whispered, "You must have heard about what happened?"
Lucas nodded, although he could say that he was the one who got the news first.
Glancing at him carefully, she continued, "Lydia was devastated by this news, she locked herself in her room. Even my parents are searching carefully for the one responsible."
Gazing into her eyes, he smiled. Her body language was too obvious. "Ask what you have in mind."
Allison's face froze for a moment, then she remained silent for a few seconds. "Did they deserve it?"
He could see that she struggled when she asked that question. Almost as if a part of her didn't want to hear it.
Lucas stayed silent for a moment, then looked into her eyes. "Yes."
The answer was brief, but it brought a sense of relief to Allison. Then she chose not to talk about it anymore. She wrapped her hand around his, then they headed for class.
Just as they were passing the principal's office, they saw the Sheriff and Gerard discussing the murder.
Close by, sitting on the chairs, were Scott and Stiles. When Lucas and Allison got closer, the two spotted them immediately.
When Stiles laid eyes on Lucas, his pupils shrank. Lucas could see a trace of fear in them.
Allison also noticed this look, then turned towards him. "Did he figure it out…?"
"Probably…" He knew that with Stiles' intelligence, he would definitely think of him.
The reason he still asked him for the address was to see what his choice would be.
It didn't take long for the Sheriff and Gerard to spot them too.
"Ah! My lovely granddaughter!" Gerard had a kind smile on his face.
Allison only awkwardly nodded. She didn't have good feelings toward this man.
"Lucas and Allison, am I right?" the Sheriff interjected from the side.
Lucas could see the Sheriff's serious expression settle on them. Then they both nodded.
"You must have heard what happened. Do you know someone who had a bad relationship with the victims?" The Sheriff observed their expressions closely.
"I can't think of anyone." Lucas shook his head as he stared directly at him without flinching.
Seeing his reaction, and Allison shaking her head, the Sheriff sighed. "Alright—"
Just before the Sheriff could say something, his radio went off, and a deputy's voice sounded from the other side.
"Sir, we got an anonymous tip that a student looked for the address of one of the victims right before the murder!"
The Sheriff instantly became focused and responded, "Who was it?!"
"A certain Lucas Ashford."
The moment the deputy said the name, all the surrounding people had various reactions. Gerard's smile seemed more genuine, while Allison was already starting to panic.
Lucas glanced directly at Stiles, but he was surprised to see that Stiles was also confused.
"Do you have anything to say?" The Sheriff had already closed the distance between them.
Lucas glanced at the Sheriff, then at the nervous Stiles. "It must be someone wanting to harm me." His body language was completely relaxed.
The Sheriff gazed at him with doubt. "I'm sorry, son, but you'll have to come with me."
Although his tone was polite, his words suggested no discussion.
