Teen Wolf:Predator’s Path

Chapter 67 Victim

The dark blue long dress fitted perfectly on her slender body. This, in turn, brought more of her natural beauty into focus.

Allison's eyes were glittering as she watched his stunned expression.

"You're beautiful!"

Lucas extended his hand towards her. Allison smiled as she wrapped her arm around his.

"Don't stay out late!"

Seeing this harmonious atmosphere, Chris couldn't help but interject.

"Don't worry, dad!"

Not giving him any chance to continue talking, Lucas pulled Allison towards the car.

When they arrived there, it was already filled with cars. Lucas opened Allison's door and helped her with her dress.

The two swiftly made their way in.

After half an hour, Lucas heard the coach yelling for someone.

"McCall?!"

"Is that you?! Get your ass here!"

The coach screamed his lungs out as he quickly made his way through the crowd.

His eyes lit up when he finally settled them on Scott.

"What are you doing here?!"

Scott turned around with his hands around Danny's neck.

"Is something wrong, coach?"

"You shouldn't be here!"

The moment he said that, all the surrounding people stopped dancing and stared at him.

The coach looked at Scott and Danny and realized he may be in trouble.

"No! I didn't mean it that way…"

The coach smiled awkwardly while trying to explain himself.

"Go on, people, dance!"

The coach forced a smile on his face, then quickly disappeared from there.

Lucas and Allison stared at this scene in amusement.

Stiles, on the other hand, was frantically searching for Lydia. When he wanted to invite her to a dance, she had already been gone for some time.

In the hallway, Stiles spotted Jackson. Although he seemed a little shaken up, Stiles ignored it.

"Did you see Lydia?!"

Jackson shook his head, then glanced around.

"No, but… I got pulled up by Chris Argent…"

"What! You didn't say anything, did you?!"

Stiles stared at Jackson's guilty face; his expression was a giveaway.

"You dumbass!"

Stiles glared fiercely at him, then continued running in search of Lydia.

Stiles soon arrived at the lacrosse field, where he spotted Lydia in the distance. Joy flashed through his eyes.

Then that same expression turned into horror as he saw Peter approaching her.

"Lydia!!"

"Run!"

Stiles kept shouting while running with all his strength towards her. His heart felt like it was breaking apart.

Then his eyes bulged in sorrow as he watched Peter biting her.

Stiles slid through the grass, now face to face with Peter.

"Please… please don't hurt her!"

He begged as he watched the woman he loved covered in blood.

Peter turned his head slowly towards him; with a smile on his face, he responded:

"Of course not…"

"But you need to tell me where Derek is…"

Stiles kept looking at Lydia in panic, then responded tremblingly to him:

"How should I know?"

"TELL ME!"

Peter's voice resounded throughout the field, making Stiles tremble in fear.

"I… I think that Derek took Scott's phone… it has a GPS on it."

Stiles took a deep breath; that was his only chance of saving Lydia.

"We can try and track it, but you have to promise you won't hurt her."

Peter's eyes showed interest after hearing this; it was finally some good news.

"Of course."

Peter then grabbed Stiles. Before walking away, he glanced one more time at where he bit Lydia, then a smile formed on his lips.

Lucas kept feeling uneasy, as if something had happened. His eyes darted around, searching for something that might tell him the reason.

"Is something wrong?"

Allison asked with a concerned look on her face.

Lucas shook his head. It was just a feeling, nothing more. The loud music acted as a jamming device to his hearing.

Suddenly, police and ambulance sirens sounded loudly outside. Even with the loud music, it could still be heard inside.

Then sheriff's deputies walked in, stopping the party and making everyone evacuate. The students panicked slightly at their sudden arrival.

Lucas took Allison's hand and followed the crowd outside. Seeing the sheriff passing by, Lucas quickly asked him what was going on.

"We had an attack on a girl. The ambulance is taking her right now to the hospital."

"Do you know who it is?"

Lucas asked, slightly perplexed by this situation.

"Lydia Martin."

When Allison heard this, she gasped in shock. She couldn't believe that this had happened to her friend.

"Is she okay?!"

Her face paled, eagerly waiting for an answer.

"I…"

The sheriff was stumped; he knew that Lydia was in a pretty bad shape.

"Don't worry… we can check on her."

Lucas gently comforted her, then quickly led her towards his car.

••••

Stepping inside the hospital made Allison even more anxious.

When they finally arrived at Lydia's room, Allison's eyes locked onto her sleeping figure.

Her body felt stiff; seeing her like this was unbearable for her.

Lucas face grimaced as he finally realized what had happened.
