Chapter 30: Hancock Is So Hot, Why Is It Cold Tonight? - Part 1 (R18)
"That's it..." Kizaru recounted exactly what had happened during the day, his tone filled with frustration. He painted a picture of the deep discomfort he felt during the meals, expressing his extreme displeasure at being stuck in what felt like a prison.
"Is there any way I can leave midway through this mission?" Kizaru asked, desperation creeping into his voice.
Sengoku's head pounded, his blood pressure rising. "You called me at two o'clock in the middle of the night for this?" he asked, incredulous.
"Marshal, this isn't just a trivial matter!" Kizaru cried out. "It's torture!"
"Nonsense," Sengoku retorted. "It's just an ordinary meal. With your shamelessness, you can't handle a little awkward atmosphere? Usually, when you're caught slacking off, you don't bat an eye!"
Kizaru remained silent, though the truth in Sengoku's words stung.
"But Marshal, I really don't want to deal with the Celestial Dragons," Kizaru sighed. "Can't this mission be aborted?"
"No!"
"Why?" Kizaru raised an eyebrow. "He's a Celestial Dragon, but he doesn't have real power or strength. Saint Lakeman has no real status."
Sengoku was silent for a few seconds before slowly sharing his and Tsuru's speculations. "I think Saint Lakeman is just a pawn. The real purpose is that the World Government wants to win you over."
"!?" Kizaru was shocked, his face turning serious as thousands of thoughts raced through his mind.
