Strongest Maid In Another World

Chapter 65: The End Of Servitude

’How....how is this possible....I...I can’t breathe!’ Margret thought to herself, desperately trying to break free from Loraine’s iron grip.

Her eyes met the white haired maiden’s, nothing but pure, unadulterated rage seeping through them, the lowly maid she knew was long gone, replaced by something far more fierce, and far more deadly.

’This can’t be happening...she’s a lowly maid! Trash, she was always trash! Why is this happening to me!?’

Beatrice and Alice’s gazes widened with fear and shock, unable to comprehend the absurd amount of power that was flowing off of Loraine, the very air trembling in her presence, her physique transforming, far more powerful and athletic, nothing like the timid maid they knew.

"Hey! Let her go! Or else!" Beatrice threatened, placing a knife on Sarah’s neck, the blonde maiden’s eyes widening in fear as she felt the cold steel pressed against her throat.

"..." Loraine’s cold crimson gaze slowly turned towards them, a tone devoid of emotion echoing in her voice as she spoke with absolutely authority over the situation.

"If you dare try anything stupid, then I will kill every single one of you maids, don’t mistake my kindness for weakness ever again. I could’ve killed every single one of you by now, but I’m holding back greatly to prevent doing that."

Alice’s eyes widened with Loraine’s statement, a jolt of fear running down her spine as she felt her grip on Sarah’s body falter slightly.

The detached tone in Loraine’s voice making her sound like they were dealing with a psychopath.

’Loraine....’ Sarah thought inwardly, watching Loraine as she held Margret in her hand like a simple toy, effortlessly lifting up the old maiden.

This wasn’t the Loraine she knew, she knew Loraine was resentful of these people, but she wasn’t aware that she felt this much hatred towards them.

"I hate you...." Loraine said, her chest heaving with the weight of her words as she fought back every instinct in her body to crush the woman’s neck in her grip.

"I hate you so much, I have never met someone so self entitled, selfish, arrogant, and cruel as you, all your time as head maid made you believe that judgement wouldn’t fall upon you, but fate has a cruel way of making things happen my friend."

’What is she saying...’ Margret thought, feeling the grip on her neck tighten as the air in her lungs were drawing thin, Margret’s eyes widening in horror as she her surroundings emanated in a blue light, all of the unconscious maiden bodies being floated into the air as Loraine used [Magical Grasp], every single cell in her body screaming danger at the sight.

"Ever since I was young, you treated me less than human, abused me constantly, made me feel absolutely worthless!" Loraine screamed at Margret.

Her teeth grit in frustration as the maids unconscious bodies began to float above them, Sarah’s eyes widening in shock as she realized what Loraine was going to do.

Her anger was overwriting her way of thinking, and she was about to do something reckless.

"Loraine!" Sarah called out to her best friend, a desperate need to stop all of this blooming in her chest as she tried again to break free once more from Alice and Beatrice’s grasp.

Sarah watched as Loraine didn’t even flinch at her name being called, the white haired maiden’s eyes darkening with a hatred so fierce it consumed her whole.

She tried to call her best friend’s name again and again, but no matter how many times she did, it were as if she were talking to a brick wall, her words not getting through to her. She needed to do something, or else everything was going to be ruined!

"I should just kill you...." Loraine said, her voice dropping to a blood thirstily tone. "I should just kill every one of you for what you have done to me!"

"S...Stop this...! You’re going...too far...." Margret barely managed to speak, a weak attempt at breaking Loraine’s grip surfacing as she tried using [Magical Grasp] to increase her force, but it was all useless.

"You all came here to kill me, I think it’s pretty reasonable I’m allowed to do the same."

Loraine said, as every ounce of reasoning had left her mind in that moment. Sarah felt the air shift immediately.

The tension was growing worse and a terrifying feeling burst forth from her chest, her eyes widening in desperation as she was witnessing her friend lose herself to the flames of her rage.

She thought about how she had failed to protect her, how all of this would’ve been prevented if she could’ve warned Loraine, how weak she was, how she couldn’t properly defend herself, it all culminated into a boiling rage that was directed at herself, at her own weakness, and was spilling out of her very being.

"What the-!?" Alice and Beatrice said in unison, watching as a powerful magical energy began to bloom from Sarah, her body surging with strength in a desperate act from saving her best friend from plunging into the darkness.

"LORAINE!!!" Sarah yelled, finally breaking free from Alice and Beatrice’s grip, a burst of magical energy blowing them back as the two maids fell onto their backs from the discharge of energy, shocked by the sudden strength Sarah had awakened within herself.

Loraine blinked, a gasp of air entering her system as Sarah’s words finally registered in her mind, her eyes widening in surprise as she realized what she was doing, her eyes wandering to her best friend that was approaching her with a look of rage and pain in her gaze.

"S-Sarah, I-!"

SMACK!

Sarah’s hand connected with Loraine’s face, the white haired maiden’s head cocking backwards as a look of shock was plastered all over her face, Sarah’s eyes streaming with tears as she grabbed Loraine’s hand, forcing the white haired maiden to meet her gaze.

"That’s enough! You’re going to kill her! You’re going to kill them!" Sarah said, her voice cracking with emotion as she stared at Loraine’s confused expression.

’Sarah....’ Loraine thought to herself, her hand unconsciously drifting to her cheek, not expecting her best friend to hit her like that. Loraine remained silent for a moment.

Looking into Sarah’s eyes as she saw that her friend was deeply worried about her, and didn’t want her doing something she might regret, not wanting her best friend to turn into a murderer.

"I’m sorry, I couldn’t hear you...I was....somewhere else entirely." Loraine apologized, sighing as she turned towards Margret.

Dropping the head maid from her iron grip as Margret fell to her knees, drawing in a deep breath as she desperately gasped for air, choking as she was finally free from Loraine’s iron grip.

"Cough! Cough!....Gasp!!!"

The maids in the air slowly began to descend, their bodies gently falling to the ground as Loraine had gently set them down, and didn’t intent on dropping them to their death’s anymore, a sigh of resignation leaving her lips.

Sarah wrapped her arms around Loraine, pulling the white haired maiden into a tight hug, burying her face into her chest as an overwhelming relief washed over her, the confrontation having reached it’s end.

"Please don’t turn into a monster, I was so scared..." Sarah said, sobbing into Loraine’s chest as Loraine gently held her close, a soothing hand brushing over her head as Loraine comforted her.

"I’m sorry you had to see that, I promise It won’t happen again. I just...had to release my emotions, you know?" She said to Sarah, a small smile on her face.

"And you," Loraine turned to give Margret a death glare, the old woman recoiling in fear as she jolted backward.

"Starting today, things will be much different around here."

"Even if you don’t end up liking me, even if you won’t end up respecting who I’ve become, you will all learn to acknowledge me, and you will all fall in line sooner or later."

"And that’s a promise."

Margret’s teeth grit with a lingering rage, but it was quickly overshadowed by the immense amount of fear that began to occupy her heart.

The fact that Loraine could kill them whenever they wanted, and was on a whole different level entirely made her feel uncertain about the future, as everything was subject to change.

"I won’t let you get away with this..."

"Try me,"

Loraine said, turning her back on Margret as Loraine took Sarah back into the mansion, comforting her best friend as she held her close as they walked back towards Loraine’s room, settling the blonde haired maiden onto her bed.

Loraine glanced at Sarah, the blonde maid still holding onto her like a lifeline, a new wave of motivation and determination washing over her as she felt her will sharpen, determined to do everything in her power to change the maid hierarchy, as things will not stay the way they were forever.

"Hey Sarah," Loraine called her best friend’s name, the blonde maiden looking up from her chest as she gazed up at Loraine with her crystal blue eyes.

"What is it?" Sarah asked, tilting her head to the side.

Loraine felt a small flush to her cheeks as she gathered up her courage, clearing her throat as she prepared herself for what she was about to say next.

"Sleep with me," Loraine stated, looking directly into Sarah’s eyes, the blonde maiden’s eyes widening in shock as her face flushed a bright crimson, not expecting Loraine to say such a thing.

"L-Loraine!" Sarah said, pushing Loraine back as the white haired maid fell onto her back. "You...You’re shameless!" Sarah continued. "I knew it, you’re into women! I should’ve known the moment you said those things to me!" She said in an accusatory tone.

Loraine’s mind shattered at Sarah’s words, the idea of liking women sending a wave of shock, fear, and a strange feeling settling in her chest.

’Eh...me? Like women?’

’I like women?’

Loriane thought to herself for a few seconds, as if a whole new revelation was dropped onto her head at Sarah’s claims, her cheeks flushing at the thought as her face burned with embarrassement.

’No! No no no, that can’t be right!’ Loraine violently shook her head, not entertaining the thought a moment longer.

Loraine spoke up, finally having cleared her mind and wiped off her embarrassmet.

"That’s not what I meant, I just want you to sleep with me so I can comfort you better, I want you to feel safe as you go to sleep tonight, and what better way to do that than to sleep with the person most closest to you."

Loraine’s explanation finally landed inside Sarah’s mind, the perverted thought she had imagined quickly being destroyed as she felt a small sense of relief washing over her, seeing that her best friend was just looking out for her.

"I see, but...." Sarah muttered under her breath, "I have responsibilities I have to attend to tomorrow, what if-!"

Before Sarah could mutter another word, Loraine’s hand drifted and landed on hers, a crimson flush spreading on her face at the contact as she turned to Loraine.

"Don’t worry about that," Loraine said with a small smile on her face. "As long as you have me, I won’t let anybody ever hurt you again, even Margret, so you don’t have to worry about anything."

Loraine said reassuringly, the sincere tone in her voice finally having Christine sigh as she accepted it, nodding in agreement.

"Alright, I’ll sleep with you, just....don’t make it weird."

"You’re the one making it weird!"

The two shared a laugh, before sinking into the sheets of the mattress, the heat of their bodies providing a nest of warmth and security as they held each other in their arms.

Their chests rising and falling as they soon managed to fall asleep afterward, dreaming off a future where better things waited for the two of them down the line.
