Chapter 96: The Winners
When Hua Fain entered the restaurant, he noticed flowers decorating the walls, while different types of flowers were placed on the tables.
There were only about ten tables, so Hua Fain easily spotted Muja and the old man. There were two drinks on their table, but neither had been touched. They seemed to be deeply engaged in a serious discussion.
Hua Fain did not directly go to them. He took the empty table next to them and then started listening to their conversation.
“Not all women are the same. Some are high-quality women.”
“Their standards are usually high.”
“To win the hearts of such women, you don't just need money but also power.”
“You have to be stronger.”
The old man explained this to Muja, who eagerly listened with his head propped up on his hands.
“Once you win a woman's heart, you must not stop.”
“You must choose one more target and repeat the process.”
"Do you want to know the most successful tactic to win three hearts at once?" The old man asked.
"Yes, yes," Muja said.
“So, to do that, first you have to know about the great subtle interaction technique.”
“You should go to a woman and say, ‘Hey! You are looking gorgeous, with a smile as beautiful as the garbage dump next to my house.’ Then you suddenly walk away before even receiving a thank-you.”
"Understood?" The old man leaned against the chair.
"Yes, yes," Muja replied.
"That woman most likely will follow you. You should walk a bit faster or even run towards the next target."
What the hell? What's wrong with this old guy? Hua Fain looked at the old man.
“When you meet the second target, don't say anything. Just grab a piece of jewelry from her, or anything that belongs to her, and run.”
"The third one is the most important. You will just go and hide inside her house."
The old man explained while stroking his beard.
"Old man, how does this help?" Muja asked.
"The other women will come to this house in search of you. The third one automatically does as well. Make sure to hide well."
"Women only search for their love, so technically, you are their love."
"Brother, you are wrong," Right then, Hua Fain from the adjacent table said.
"Why do you think so?" The old man glared at Hua Fain, who already stood up and approached their table.
"Hua.." Muja's eyes lit up, but he immediately closed his mouth.
"Chu Feng, do you know this guy?" But it did not leave the eyes of the old man.
Chu Feng?? Hua Fain got confused and looked at Muja. Why is he using Sir Chu Feng's name? Muja thought but he decided to keep it with himself and said, "Brother, don't pressure Chu Feng. I know his father. He is worried about Chu Feng, so he sent me to fetch him."
Then Hua Fain pulled a chair out from his table, placed it next to Muja, and sat on it.
Then he patted Muja and said, "You should go. Your father is worried."
"Yes, uncle Hua. My apologies for making you come," Muja stood up and bowed.
Then he turned towards the old man and bowed. "Old man, you really are amazing. I learned a lot from you."
"Haha.. no worries.." The old man smiled and stroked his beard.
"Your wisdom knows no bounds."
"You are great, no, the best.."
"Of course," The old man's smile widened.
"Just like the dog shit in front of my house."
"Yes," The old man smiled a little, then his smile disappeared as he glared at Muja.
Muja then turned around and ran away.
"You little! Stop right there," The old man stood up to chase, but was stopped by Hua Fain.
"What are you doing? Move." The old man said as he looked at Hua Fain.
"Why do you want to chase after a small kid? All he did was step one of the subtle interaction technique."
"Ahem! About that.." The old man was about to open his mouth as he was cut off by Hua Fain.
"If it was some other day, I would have argued about winning the hearts of women, but I don't have much time." Hua Fain gently tapped the old man on the chest with his finger.
"What are you—" The old man realized immediately and erupted with an early Core Formation aura.
But it did not stop the blue flames from consuming him instantly and turning him to ashes.
A gentle wind carried the ash to another table. Only then did the people at another table notice Hua Fain standing and ash lying in front of his legs like a mini mountain, and the old man was nowhere to be seen.
"Don't run! Don't tell anyone!" Hua Fain said.
No one dared to move from their table. Only Hua Fain moved and walked out.
After about twenty minutes.
Hua Fain again stood in front of three mini ash mountains in a narrow alley.
Then after ten minutes, he was seen exiting a warehouse of a merchant group as a customer.
When the customer went inside the warehouse to meet the merchant, all he saw were multiple mini ash mountains, each placed some distance away.
"Lord Shua, several civilians reported to us that they found an ordinary-looking man around all the ashes."
Shua crouched and deeply observed one of the ashes scattered on the ground in the streets of Trade Miller City.
"Why do the streets look so deserted?"
"Lord Shua, the rumours have spread faster than horses. Some civilians already started leaving the city secretly, while others stopped stepping out."
The reporter then looked at Shua while clenching and unclenching his fist, and opened his mouth a little.
"What is it?" Lord Shua asked him as he stood.
If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
"Lord Shua, I believe it is the right time to act against Chu Feng. If we just change into black clothes and kill him," The reporter bowed.
"Are you a fool? Don't you see the ashes? Didn't you see the blue cloud? Chu Feng has someone stronger than Mutai. Even if we successfully kill Chu Feng, there would be no way that we would be alive afterwards," Shua said calmly.
"Lord Shua, my apologies. I understand," The reporter said.
"Just continue to pretend to search for black-clothed men. Ignore the ashes." Lord Shua said.
Right then, Shua saw several people wearing red clothes pass by him. Some were on horses, some were walking.
Some carried smiles, some dejected in sadness. Nevertheless, the people in red walked towards the mansion that no longer existed.
When they arrived at the ashes of the mansion, there was no crowd. At the centre of the black crater, a man and a woman stood.
They walked towards the man and woman.
"Sir Chu Feng," Everyone bowed.
"Welcome back." Chu Feng said and turned his back towards them. "But before we get to rest and mourn, we have things to do."
"Some of you go and help Hua Fain's hunt, and some stay here and dig the underground prison," Chu Feng ordered.
"Yes, Sir." The people in red said. They immediately divided into two groups. One went out, one stayed.
And those who stayed arrived at the rough place of the underground prison. They bent and rubbed the black ash of the ground.
"We found it!"
"We found it!"
After moments of moving the ash out, they finally saw the steps. The steps at the top also looked to be turned to ash, but those in the middle seemed fine. But boulders and debris blocked the path downwards.
Hours Ago,
I forgot to bring a torch. I can't see in the dark either! The Executioner realized his mistake and turned around and went back to the altar.
Right when he arrived at the altar.
BOOM!
The ground shook. The ceiling started falling apart. Rocks and boulders began to fall from above.
This is bad. I need to save the green liquid. Ignoring everything, he dashed towards the storage of the green liquid.
Before he even arrived at the place, he observed the traces of green liquid gathered like a straight line, like a river on the ground.
He accelerated, but right then a big boulder fell on him from above.
Meanwhile, Yan was continuously absorbing the liquid.

Then his absorption became faster.

The liquid around him churned violently.

The liquid kept disappearing as Yan absorbed without any breath. His body heated, but he did not stop.

Right then, he heard a sound. BOOM! The big boulder a bit far away from him broke into pieces as wind surged. A man came out of it.
"What are you doing?" The Executioner shouted as wind gathered around him.
Yan did not reply. He kept on absorbing.

Right then, a hand arrived and caught Yan by the neck.
"You betrayed Sir Chu Feng."
"The liquid... it will be absorbed by the ground..." Yan said.
The Executioner glanced downwards as he hovered above the green liquid and understood. The liquid was in the ground, and all around him, debris kept falling.
"Sir Chu Feng will personally deal with you."
Yan was not wrong. For now, he had to save the liquid. So he threw Yan aside as Yan crashed back into the walls of soil.
The Executioner looked at the fallen green liquid. He began thinking, but there was very little time to come up with any solution.
Damn! If only I understood my wind letter much better. I could have made a wind barrier as a container for the liquid.
The wind gathered around his palm as he aimed it at the liquid.
But right then, multiple pebbles came out from the place where Yan had crashed. They did not hit the Executioner but the remaining torches hung on the walls.
Everything went dark except his own torch.
"Damn you!" The Executioner shouted, but he continued his work. He aimed the wind at the liquid on the ground and lifted the liquid up as much as he could.
The ceiling continued to collapse, but the Executioner protected the liquid with his wind barrier, spreading it around himself.
He gritted his teeth, sweat came out of him, and struggled to maintain the load.
Meanwhile, Yan slowly slipped away from the place under darkness as his ground qi spread around him and his mind pictured the vicinity.
As Yan arrived at the tunnel, the collapse of the ceiling kept increasing. He gritted his teeth for a second as ground qi reinforced his body as he moved forward.
He took two steps forward barely, his body still hot, burning with severe fever. Then the ceiling above him broke, and a boulder fell on him.
Back to the Present,
Chu Feng's men started clearing the entrance. As they cleared the debris, they found crushed skulls, legs, and separated torsos of several prisoners.
They kept on cleaning the debris. Then they found a large boulder. When they broke it up, they found a man in red clothes lying there unconscious.
"Isn't that Shui? What's he doing here?" One of them identified Yan.
"He is alive but burning. Let's pull him up." Chu Feng's men took Yan out, then they continued to venture further.
After some time, someone reached Chu Feng and reported, "Sir Chu Feng, there is bad news!"
"What happened?"
"Executioner Mo passed away while trying to protect the green liquid. It seemed that he exhausted all his qi."
Chu Feng's face suddenly turned sadder, as if a new weight had been added to him.
"What about the green liquid?" Chu Feng asked.
"The Executioner failed. It seemed to have spilled on the ground, and the ground absorbed everything," the reporter said.
"One more thing... we found Shui in there," the reporter said.
"Him?" Chu Feng asked.
"Yes, but his condition seems to be a bit dire. He was burning with fever and unconscious. He was also a bit wounded," the reporter said.
"Take him to the doctor, and inform me as soon as he wakes up," Chu Feng said.
"Yes, Sir." The reporter accepted and left.
After he left, Chu Feng scratched his head and thought, So you came after the green liquid after all. I will deal with you once everything is over.
Right at that moment, at the entrance of Trade Miller City.
Neigh!
The horses halted under the rays of the evening sun.
"Move! You peasant!" Bua Ling shouted at an ordinary-looking man blocking his horse, as followers were behind him.
"I thought everyone already hid in the houses. Thankfully, there are still some newcomers," Hua Fain said.
"Hiding inside houses makes the hunt very difficult, and I will lose my manners if I get inside every house for searching," Hua Fain patted Bua Ling's horse.
"Didn't my master ask you to move? What are you blabbering about?" The man sitting on the horse next to Bua Ling shouted.
"Well, it's a bit hectic. I might damage the entrance pillars and the board. My apologies for the damage," Hua Fain walked backwards and bowed towards the entrance pillars.
"I said move," Bua Ling erupted fire around his arm as he tried to grab him.
Hua Fain casually deflected the hand, and then he showed his palm towards Bua Ling.
Blue flames burst out and engulfed their entire unit for a moment, and then subsided. The entrance turned to ashes.
Chu Feng's men in red clothes joined the hunt as more and more bodies fell once in a while. The hunt continued as the slum dwellers kept on providing information.
By about night, Trade Miller City witnessed a bloodbath that it had not seen in its history.
Somewhere in the slums,
"Muja, hehe, look! I won. I found six people who smelled like Hua Fain while you only found three," Moro danced in front of Muja.
"Mm.. what do you know? I am the next Chu Feng, so I did let you act. If I acted myself, I would have won," Muja said.
"You guys, stop fighting!" Kilin approached them from home.
"Your parents are calling you. It's time to sleep," Kilin said.
"See you tomorrow then, Muja." Moro laughed as he left.
"Damn him." Muja kicked the ground as soon as Moro left and looked at Kilin.
Then he approached Kilin and said, "Kilin, there is something I always wanted to tell you."
Kilin asked, "What's it?"
"You are so beautiful. I like the way you handle so many things."
"Your smile is especially as beautiful as the stars in the sky."
Kilin blushed. "Stop it."
"Your hands, they are so soft that I want to hold them all the time." Muja grabbed her palms.
Then he bent on one knee and said, "I love many things about you, such as your mouth. And when you open it, the smell is so rotten that I wish to die."
And then he immediately stood and ran away.
Kilin stood there in shock for a moment. "Damn him!"
She kicked the ground and ran after Muja.
In Rochi Town, in an abandoned wooden building, lanterns were placed around a chair, on the chair Cha Choo sat as he looked over the servants gathered around, " Remember, Chu Feng is very dangerous, don't ever dare to think of killing him again."
"Yes, Brother Cha, you are wiser, if not for you, we would not have realised." The servant carrying red ring said.
"And about the blue flames cloud, you talked about, it sounds very scary." He added as he took a deep breath.
"Ha, but thanks to guys, I was able to successfully poison the new reinforcement." Brother Cha.
"Whom did you poison Cha Choo?" Right at the moment, the door burst open as a man with black moustache, black skin came in.
"General, " Cha Choo immediately stood up and dropped to knees.
" No, I did not poison anyone.." Cha Choo said.
" Liar, " The General bent and placed his sword at the Cha Choo.
Cha Choo gulped the saliva, "Tell me whom did you poison?"
"The Reinforcements from Shin." Cha Choo said.
"Reinforcement? "
"There were no reinforcements." The general said as he glared at Cha Choo.
Somewhere in the south, in the forest.
"Is it around here?" Elder Han asked while carrying Zuzu in his hands as they still continued to fly.
"It must be," Gua Zen replied while flying next to Elder Han.
"You! You have been saying this for hours, and it has also turned night," Elder Han scolded Gua Zen.
"Look, there is a fire," Zuzu pointed at a place where a small fire was barely visible.
"Let's check it out," Elder Han said as they descended towards the fire.
"It looks small. Must be a campfire," Gua Zen said as they approached nearer.
Then they smelled the aroma of roasted meat.
"I am hungry," Gua Zen said.
Elder Han and Zuzu ignored him as they cautiously descended at the place.
Then they noticed the surroundings. There were many dead bodies around, some still had smiles on their faces, and wooden particles and spices were still spread everywhere.
They knew where they had arrived. And then they looked at the campfire.
A muscled man wearing red clothes was roasting meat that seemed to be taken from the dead bear next to him.
"I have been waiting for you. What took you so long?"
