Naruto: Might Guy's Path to Invincibility

CHAPTER 126

One month later.

"Might Guy! That Genin on the left is yours! Ebisu, Genma, the Genin on the right is yours! I'll handle the Chunin in the middle! Move!"

Hidden behind a patch of dense bushes, Uchiha Shisui swiftly assigned their targets and laid out the battle plan.

Their opponents were a three-man Iwagakure reconnaissance squad.

During the past month, Might Guy and his two teammates had fully adapted to life within the Uchiha outpost.

Aside from routine patrols and daily training, they frequently encountered small Iwagakure scouting teams.

Although Guy, Ebisu, and Genma formed their own squad, every mission required an experienced shinobi from the outpost to accompany them.

Uchiha Shisui had voluntarily taken on that responsibility.

He became the temporary squad leader whenever the three of them left the camp.

Every mission was carried out under his command.

This time, they had happened to discover an Iwagakure reconnaissance team consisting of one Chunin and two Genin.

The instant Shisui finished issuing his orders, all four of them burst forward together.

"Konoha Diamond Whirlwind Flame Kick!"

Bang!

Might Guy was the first to strike.

His figure became a blur of green as Fire Release Chakra erupted from the tip of his foot.

His blazing kick slammed squarely into the chest of the Iwagakure Genin on the left.

The tremendous force blasted the enemy backward.

He crashed heavily into a thick tree trunk, the front of his clothes instantly scorched black, and completely lost his ability to continue fighting.

Ebisu and Shiranui Genma displayed flawless coordination.

The replica twin swords: Hiramekarei flashed simultaneously.

Attacking from opposite directions, their blade lights intertwined into a deadly cross, forcing the Iwagakure Genin on the right to retreat again and again.

Finally, Genma struck him across the shoulder with the flat of one blade.

The enemy cried out in pain before collapsing to the ground with severe injuries.

Meanwhile, Uchiha Shisui had already engaged the Iwagakure Chunin.

Within his crimson Sharingan, three tomoe rotated slowly.

His hands swiftly formed seals.

"Phantom Body Flicker Technique!"

Bang! Bang!

Two soft bursts sounded.

Two identical Shisuis instantly appeared at his sides.

The three figures charged toward the Iwagakure Chunin simultaneously from different directions.

The enemy fixed his eyes upon the three incoming opponents, his expression immediately changing.

Under the pressure exerted by the Three Tomoe Sharingan, he couldn't distinguish which one was the real body.

Clenching his teeth, he thrust his kunai toward one of the approaching figures.

Puff!

The kunai pierced directly through the figure's chest.

Yet the sensation felt strangely vague, as though he had stabbed nothing substantial.

"It's not the real one!"

The Iwagakure Chunin's heart trembled violently.

But...

The figure he had just pierced didn't disappear.

"What?!"

His mind descended into complete confusion.

Shouldn't an ordinary Clone Technique disperse immediately after taking damage?

Why was this one still standing there?

He had no time to think further.

The instant his attack failed and his body stiffened, another Shisui silently appeared beside him.

A cold kunai blade gently rested against his carotid artery.

"Don't move."

Uchiha Shisui's calm voice entered his ears.

The battle concluded in less than a minute.

All three Iwagakure shinobi had been subdued and completely lost the ability to resist.

None of them were killed.

Captured enemies could be brought back to the outpost and interrogated by specialists.

The intelligence they possessed was far more valuable than three corpses.

Standing nearby, Might Guy narrowed his eyes as he carefully observed every movement Shisui had made during the fight.

He had seen everything clearly.

The technique Shisui used wasn't an ordinary Clone Technique.

It was his unique Body Flicker Technique.

Each figure seemed almost tangible.

Yet they could instantly become illusory.

Shisui switched between several afterimages with virtually no delay.

The effect was almost identical to teleportation.

It was an exceptionally powerful technique.

Its true essence lay in the perfect combination of Genjutsu and high-speed taijutsu.

Using the visual prowess and Genjutsu capabilities granted by the Three Tomoe Sharingan, he distorted the enemy's perception at the very moment of engagement.

At the same time, relying on his astonishing physical speed, he exchanged positions between his true body and his afterimages at extreme velocity.

The illusion created the impression that he had vanished and reappeared elsewhere.

It did not mean Uchiha Shisui's physical speed had truly reached the impossible level of space-time movement.

Instead, it primarily relied upon Sharingan Genjutsu to disrupt the opponent's judgment and delay their reactions.

At least, that was Guy's own conclusion.

From his perspective, although Shisui's movements were unbelievably fast, they had not yet reached the point where every trajectory became impossible to perceive.

If he activated the Fourth Gate of the Eight Gates Release and relied upon its explosive increase in speed and reaction time, he should theoretically be able to achieve a similar effect through pure physical movement.

What he lacked was the Sharingan's powerful Genjutsu, capable of subtly interfering with an opponent's senses.

"So... this is the true principle behind 'Body Flicker Shisui'?"

After quietly observing for a while, Might Guy had essentially grasped the core concept.

Many seemingly mysterious techniques lose much of their mystery once their underlying principles become clear.

Uchiha Shisui was undoubtedly powerful.

However, to Might Guy, who possessed the Sobering Stone and the Eight Gates Release, he wasn't an opponent beyond all hope of overcoming.

Of course, that only applied to the current Shisui.

Once Shisui awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan and obtained Kotoamatsukami, the strength of his Genjutsu would rise to an entirely different level.

By then, the Sobering Stone would likely be of little use.

"Tie them up. We're taking them back."

Just as Guy finished organizing his thoughts, Uchiha Shisui sheathed his kunai and calmly instructed the three of them.

The four worked together with practiced efficiency, securely binding the three prisoners and gagging them before escorting them back toward Outpost No. 8.

After returning to camp, Might Guy and his teammates handed the prisoners over to Uchiha Shisui before returning to their own tent to rest.

Meanwhile, Shisui personally escorted the three captured Iwagakure shinobi to report to Uchiha Feiquan.

Inside the command tent, Feiquan quietly listened to Shisui's report.

Looking at the tightly bound Iwagakure prisoners kneeling on the ground with fear written across their faces, he nodded with satisfaction.

"Well done. Living captives are far more useful than corpses."

After thinking briefly, he issued another order.

"Take them to Captain Inoichi Yamanaka."

"He specializes in this field. He'll be able to extract far more valuable intelligence from them."

Just after Feiquan finished speaking, Shisui suddenly remembered something.

He stepped forward respectfully.

"Father, may I lead the escort mission this time?"

"I'd also like Might Guy and his teammates to accompany me."
