Naruto: Might Guy's Path to Invincibility

CHAPTER 91

Guy walked toward the Konoha Orphanage with the four children. It was a building that looked quite old. Although clean and tidy, it could not hide its age.

He gently pushed open the door of the orphanage.

There was no noise inside as one might imagine. Instead, it was unusually quiet.

A few sallow and emaciated children sat in the corner, their eyes timid and wary. A female Ninja with a gentle temperament was whispering something to a distressed-looking staff member.

The content seemed to be:

"...The food rations have been cut again..."

Hearing the sound of the door opening, the female Ninja turned her head.

She saw Guy and the four children behind him, who were clearly in poor condition.

A look of realization and deep exhaustion flashed in her eyes.

But it was quickly replaced by gentleness.

Yakushi Nono.

"I am Yakushi Nono, the director here. And you are...?"

Yakushi Nono stepped forward, her voice soft as her gaze fell on Guy's forehead protector.

"My name is Might Guy."

Hearing Guy's self-introduction, Yakushi Nono's expression froze for a moment.

She had clearly heard of his name.

After all, news of the Battle of Mount Kikyo and the nine-year-old Chunin who had guarded the Mountain Ridge alone for sixty-eight days had already spread throughout much of Konoha.

"I encountered these children on the road. They were being bullied, and it seems... they have nowhere to go."

Guy got straight to the point and explained his purpose.

"I wonder if you can take them in here?"

Yakushi Nono nodded immediately without hesitation.

"Of course. This is their home."

"Director!"

The staff member beside her could not help but speak in a low voice, looking troubled.

"We... our orphanage is no longer capable of taking in so many children."

"Food, medicine, even beds... everything is running short."

Hearing this, the eyes of the newly arrived children, already filled with terror, grew even dimmer.

They instinctively took half a step back.

Yakushi Nono's expression also dimmed noticeably.

She looked at the children before her, then at the other orphans in the courtyard who also needed care.

A flash of pain and struggle crossed her eyes.

But in the end, her sense of responsibility as a Medical Ninja and director prevailed.

She took a deep breath and showed a firm, reassuring smile once more.

She knelt down and said to the children:

"Don't be afraid. Stay here. There will be a place to stay, and there will be food to eat."

...

[Mission Completed: War Orphans]

[Rewards Obtained: Monk Value +150, Random Elementary Gift Pack ×1]

...

The System notification sounded in Guy's mind.

The rewards were automatically distributed.

The mission was technically already complete.

But Guy did not move.

He looked at Yakushi Nono's forced smile and the deep-seated worry hidden in her eyes.

Then he looked at the cold environment of the orphanage and the malnourished faces of the children.

He remained silent.

After a moment of silence, he reached directly into his ninja tool pouch.

He pulled out all the money inside.

Including the thick stack of three hundred thousand ryo left to him by his father, Might Duy.

And all the savings he still carried on him.

"Please take this."

Guy handed the money to Yakushi Nono, his tone serious.

"Buy some food and supplies for the children."

Yakushi Nono was stunned and hurriedly waved her hands.

"No, I can't, Guy-kun!"

"This is too much! And you yourself..."

She looked at Guy's face, which was still youthful yet already carried the marks of the battlefield.

Then she looked at the Chunin flak jacket he wore.

"You are still a child yourself. You need this money too."

"They need it more."

Guy's voice was not loud, but it was exceptionally firm.

His gaze swept over the newly arrived children and the others in the orphanage.

"Take it, Director."

"For the children."

Yakushi Nono looked into Guy's earnest eyes.

Then she looked at the heavy stack of bills that had been pressed into her hands.

Her eyes gradually turned red.

She could feel the pure kindness behind this gift.

The young man before her had clearly just returned from a brutal battlefield.

He was clearly in need of money himself.

Yet he did not hesitate to give away all his savings.

Just to help some war orphans he did not even know.

This sentiment was heavy and warm.

She finally stopped refusing.

Instead, she solemnly put the money away and bowed deeply to Guy.

"On behalf of the children, thank you, Guy-kun."

"The orphanage will remember this kindness."

She looked up at Guy.

Her eyes were filled with complex emotions.

There was gratitude, relief, and a trace of sadness that was difficult to detect.

"This era... war has created too many orphans like them."

"Sometimes I feel my strength is so small..."

"But seeing someone like you, Guy-kun, makes me feel that maybe... there is still hope for the future."

She paused, her voice becoming even softer.

"Please... make sure to live well."

Guy nodded and did not say much.

Hundreds of thousands of ryo was not a small amount to him.

But at most, it would only allow him to eat better and train more comfortably.

For these children, however, it could save their lives.

He took one last look at the children who had been temporarily settled.

Then he turned and silently left the orphanage.

...

Guy had not walked far from the orphanage.

A figure suddenly appeared soundlessly by his side.

"Might Guy."

A flat, emotionless voice sounded.

Guy paused and looked toward the source of the voice.

It was a Ninja wearing an animal mask and a black bodysuit.

Anbu.

Guy's pupils contracted slightly.

The Anbu looked at him, no emotion visible in the eyes behind the mask.

He simply conveyed a brief and clear instruction:

"The Third Hokage-sama wishes to see you."
