Chapter 246: Light Reweaves the Heavens, Iron Fists Shake the Sea!
Above Alabasta, the pressure in the air was suffocating.
The lead-gray clouds had been violently torn apart as several colossal flaming islands broke through the atmosphere in a catastrophic descent toward the royal capital of Alubarna.
Two figures—one golden, one violet—hovered directly beneath the apocalypse itself, their coats whipping wildly in the raging winds.
"Tsk tsk… that old-timer really knows how to cause trouble even after death, huh~"
Admiral Kizaru (Borsalino) kept both hands in the pockets of his striped trousers as he tilted his head toward the sky, the usual carefree smirk hanging from his lips.
But behind those tinted lenses, his eyes held not the slightest trace of relaxation.
Fujitora remained silent.
Though his eyes were forever closed, it was as though he could still "see" the collapsing structures within those massive islands overhead.
And beneath them—
The blazing sea of life formed by hundreds of thousands of terrified, praying civilians.
Compared to that…
The weight of human life was far heavier than the islands above.
"If those things hit the ground," Kizaru said while glancing sideways at his fellow Admiral, "then Alubarna—and the sleeping history buried beneath it—will all go 'boom' and disappear, y'know?"
"Then," Fujitora answered, his deep voice suppressing even the howl of the wind,
"if you already have a plan, I suggest you act quickly. If we delay any longer… even my gravity may not be enough to support the heavens' 'wrath.'"
"The targets are huge… and they've got way too much momentum too…"
Kizaru smacked his lips in complaint as dazzling golden particles of light began leaking from his body.
"Well, not like we can avoid it anyway."
The moment his words ended—
"Shoooom—!!"
A razor-sharp beam of golden light pierced through the darkened sky, surging upward directly against the falling catastrophe.
The instant it neared the islands—
The light exploded outward.
One became ten.
Ten became hundreds.
Hundreds became thousands upon thousands.
Countless particles of light boiled, stretched, and reconstructed themselves in an instant—
Until the sky itself was filled with innumerable copies of Kizaru.
Each radiated brilliance akin to the core of the sun, transforming the apocalyptic heavens into a magnificent yet eerie golden ocean of light.
"Yasakani no Magatama: Thousand Radiance."
Countless identical voices overlapped into a grand, resonating chorus.
Countless arms spread outward.
Countless fingers formed Kizaru's signature gesture—
Yet now it carried an almost sacred solemnity.
And then—
The storm of light descended.
A torrent of pure photonic destruction.
Hundreds of millions of devastating light bullets converged into enormous rivers of brilliance carrying enough heat and piercing force to erase everything in their path.
They swept across the giant floating islands with absolute precision—
Cutting.
Piercing.
Disintegrating.
BOOOOOOOM—!!!
The explosions fused into one eternal roar.
Massive chunks of bedrock vaporized beneath the radiance, the colossal islands forcibly shattered apart from continent-sized masses of destruction into what could only comparatively be called a "rain" of debris.
But even this "rain" remained large enough to flatten all of Alubarna.
And at that exact moment—
Below them—
Fujitora stepped forward.
Ripples spread through empty space beneath his feet.
Slowly, he drew his cane sword.
His "gaze" fell upon the earth below—
Upon the civilians running in panic, screaming, praying on their knees.
He could "hear" it.
The fear of the innocent.
The determination to protect loved ones.
Those emotions were heavier than stone itself.
"Even if the heavens collapse…"
he murmured softly, bringing his blade before him until the tip lightly touched the air itself.
"…let gravity become the support upon which the good may stand."
CLANG—!
HUMMMMM—
One.
Ten.
A hundred.
Deep violet gravitational rings resembling cosmic nebulae expanded outward from Fujitora's body, spiraling upward into the sky.
They rapidly enlarged, each ring precisely covering sections of Alubarna that would soon be struck by debris.
Layer after layer.
Interlocking.
Connecting.
Until an immense and incomprehensibly complex gravitational network spread across the skies above the entire royal capital.
"Secret Art: Infinite Void Domain."
Fujitora's solemn declaration echoed through the heavens.
Then—
A miracle unfolded.
The countless fragments of falling rock, varying wildly in size, instantly lost all coherent trajectory the moment they entered the purple gravitational web.
The skies over Alubarna transformed into an absolute domain controlled entirely by Fujitora's will—
A realm where the laws of gravity themselves had descended into chaos.
The deadly rain of destruction was forcibly twisted, dismantled, and subdued within the "Infinite Void Domain," becoming nothing more than a dazzling storm of light and thunder without true destructive force.
Even the occasional pebble that slipped through the network had already lost nearly all momentum after passing layer upon layer of gravitational interference.
By the time they touched the ground, they merely kicked up tiny clouds of dust.
Above the heavens—
"Light" violently dismantled destruction itself.
Below the heavens—
"Gravity" meticulously reconstructed order.
After a long while, the countless golden clones of Kizaru gradually faded, converging back into his original laid-back form.
Lowering his gaze, he looked down at the gigantic violet nebula-like network slowly rotating over the royal capital, as well as the innumerable fragments suspended within it like insects trapped in amber.
His eyebrow rose slightly.
"What a… terrifying ability."
Whether it was praise or something else entirely was impossible to tell.
Fujitora did not answer.
Only the faint sweat along his forehead revealed how difficult it was to maintain such an enormous and precise gravitational domain.
He "looked" toward the lights of survival and gratitude gradually rekindling throughout Alubarna.
For just a fleeting instant, the sternness on his face softened.
Alubarna had been saved.
By two completely different powers—
Both standing at the pinnacle of the world.
The Thousand Sunny cut steadily through the sparkling waves as it sailed toward Fish-Man Island.
A lazy calm unique to the aftermath of battle hung across the deck, mixed with the scent of seawater, timber, and Nami's tangerine grove.
"Fish~ Man~ Island~~"
Sanji spun around the deck with heart-shaped eyes, cigarette smoke somehow forming silhouettes of mermaids in the air.
"At last, I'll finally meet the legendary mermaid ladies! The jewels of the deep sea! Existence that transcend the very meaning of 'cute' and 'beautiful'!!"
"For this moment, I'd gladly let my wounds reopen a hundred more times!"
"Sanji! Hold it right there!"
In his small reindeer form, Chopper frantically chased after him across the deck.
"Excessive movement will make your injuries worse! And you too, Zoro!"
He abruptly turned toward the green-haired swordsman at the bow who was secretly trying to uncork a bottle of sake.
"Doctor Chopper officially forbids alcohol until your wounds are fully healed!"
Zoro froze mid-motion, brows twitching irritably.
"Tch. Quit nagging. Booze helps small injuries heal faster."
He tried sneaking away to another corner, only for Chopper to bite onto his pant leg angrily.
"Hahahaha! Sanji's an idiot! Zoro got caught by Chopper!"
Holding his straw hat in place, Luffy laughed loudly at his crewmates' usual antics, slapping the deck with delight.
His laughter was so infectious that even the sunlight seemed brighter.
Then—
In the very next second—
Luffy's smile froze solid.
A horrifying sense of danger—refined through countless life-or-death battles into pure instinct—surged through his body like ice water dumped over his head.
Every hair on his body stood on end.
"…Huh?"
Before anyone could process the sudden change in expression—
BOOOOM—!!!
A cannonball exploded against the coastal rocks not far ahead of the Sunny.
The deafening blast sent an enormous column of seawater erupting skyward like a furious Sea King, the salty mist scattering across the deck.
Splash!
Water droplets struck Luffy's stiffened face.
He jolted violently as though awakening from a nightmare, his rubber body springing upright in an instant, eyes bulging wide.
"FRRRRAAAANKYYYYYY—!!!"
he screamed at nearly voice-cracking volume.
"SUPER SPEED! NOW! FULL POWER! TURN THE SHIP AROUND! RUN!! RIGHT NOW!!"
The Straw Hats collectively froze.
Even Chopper forgot he was still biting Zoro's pants.
Luffy, meanwhile, had already begun running around the deck like a headless chicken before crashing face-first into the railing and bouncing backward while clutching his head.
"IT'S MY GRANDPA!! HE CAUGHT UP TO US!!!"
Instantly—
The atmosphere on deck exploded into chaos.
"BAHAHAHAHA!! Luffy! You brat! You run faster than a Sea King the moment you see your grandpa?!"
A rough, booming voice capable of shaking the ocean itself smashed across the Thousand Sunny's sails from far away.
There wasn't the slightest trace of anger in it.
Only exhilarating excitement—
Like a hunter chasing prey.
"TRY TAKING YOUR GRANDPA'S FIST OF LOVE!!!"
At the bow of the dog-headed Marine warship in the distance—
Space itself seemed to collapse inward for a split second.
Then—
A gigantic figure resembling a living mountain detonated through the air, tearing apart light and sound alike as he launched himself toward the Sunny like a supersonic human cannonball.
The sea beneath him split apart from sheer impact force alone.
An enormous trench wider than a battleship carved across the ocean surface instantly, with towering walls of seawater rising dozens of meters high on both sides.
BZZZZZT—HUMMMM—!!!
Red-gold Conqueror's Haki wrapped around the enormous fist, compressed and condensed to an unbelievable degree through monstrous physical strength and willpower.
The Haki formed a blazing shell of destructive energy around his arm, collapsing inward continuously as the sheer heat warped the light surrounding it.
"This punch—"
Garp's rapidly approaching figure grew larger and larger in everyone's vision.
The grin stretched across his face was somehow more terrifying than any savage expression.
"YOU BETTER TAKE IT HEAD-ON!!!"
