Chapter 281: What the Heart Wants
"Hey, Vahn...I know this probably isn't the best time to ask this...but do you think I'm a good person...?" asked Miu, her expression listless as she played the part of Vahn's little spoon, his left hand caressing her stomach and hers gently polishing his glans—nestled between her thighs after five and a half hours of intense lovemaking.
"I think you're an amazing person..." answered Vahn, nestling closer to the buxom blonde and kissing her left shoulder before asserting, "You're kind, empathetic, hardworking, and humble. I doubt even a single person could realistically argue otherwise..."
"Thank you..." muttered Miu, closing her eyes and exhaling faintly from her nose. She hadn't been particularly tense before, but hearing Vahn's words made her feel like a weight had been removed from her heart.
Before Vahn could ask, Miu tentatively revealed, "I asked everyone at the dojo to keep our relationship a secret from Kenichi and our friends, but he recently overheard Master Sakaki talking about it while drunk. Since then, he hasn't been training as hard or staying at the dojo. He's still nice to me at school, but when he smiles, it's like he's a robot reading from a script or going through the motions..."
"Mmn...I honestly can't blame him..." muttered Vahn, adhering as closely and comfortingly as he could to Miu's body before asserting, "As I've said before, you're an extraordinary woman, Miu. Any man would be blessed to have you at their side, and since you trained together and lived under the same roof, Kenichi likely thought he had the greatest chance of becoming your boyfriend. The type of presumption is a powerful motivator for young men, but it's also incredibly selfish..."
Planting several more kisses on Miu's shoulder, Vahn softly muttered, "It may not seem fair from his perspective, but just because he worked hard to be with or become worthy of you, you were never under any obligation to reward Kenichi's efforts. You're not a medal to be adorned or a trophy to be touted around, Miu...and if he takes a step back, he would be able to see that your friendship has qualitatively improved his life and the lives of everyone you choose to become involved with. Because that's the kind of woman you are, Miu...you're someone who pushes people to be their best selves, even if they doubt it's possible..."
"Oh, Vahn..." muttered Miu, her voice tinged with emotion, and her large, sapphire blue eyes glistening with unshed tears as she carefully adjusted her position to face him. The reality was that, before encountering Vahn and learning how small her world was, she had, to an extent, been leading Kenichi on—not necessarily so they could date, but because he was the first friend she had made as a child, and it frustrated her seeing how weak and whiny he behaved without prodding...
'I really am a bad woman...' thought Miu, narrowing her eyes, caressing Vahn's face, and leaning in to kiss him as she consoled herself, thinking, 'But I'd rather be with a strong man who can console and take care of me than one who needs constant validation...'
Unaware of Miu's thoughts but sensing her growing arousal, Vahn didn't hesitate to resume where they had left off. This was yet another trait Miu valued in him, as, no matter how frequently she wanted to have sex, Vahn could keep going until she was completely overwhelmed. And, at least to her, there was nothing as gratifying as being pinned down and dominated by a powerful male with exceptional genes...
