Chapter 196: Caution
[Day 20]
As it was the most conspicuous spot on the island, Vahn, accompanied by Grayfia, found himself standing on the rim of the nearly 10km-tall volcano at its center.
"It doesn't look particularly welcoming, does it...?" asked Vahn, referring to a large, medieval-looking, obsidian-black castle protruding from a lake of broiling lava, its front entrance accessible via a long, precarious bridge. Most notably, like everything else on the island, it seemed to be scaled to accommodate giants rather than people.
"Shall I clear a path and roll out a red carpet~?" asked Grayfia, holding up her right hand with a sphere of pure, highly concentrated Demonic Power appearing above her palm.
With a wave of heat rising from the volcano's caldera, causing the air to briefly go from negative sixty to nearly 1200 degrees, Vahn squinted his eyes but otherwise had no reaction as he casually responded, "Let's not be hasty. There is a chance this is the abode of a future friend of ours, so let's be courteous."
"If that is Goshujin-sama's desire~" responded Grayfia, closing her hand and scattering the energy sphere, which could have leveled an entire city block if allowed to detonate.
"If we're discussing desires..." muttered Vahn, turning his head to stare back at Grayfia, modeling one of the skimpier versions of her Maid outfit, which included no top and frilly, black-and-white, crotchless panties. She wore comparably normal clothing when other people were present, but as it was just the two of them, she had no qualms about baring her all.
"Does Goshujin-sama see something he likes~?" questioned Grayfia, a faint blush tinting her playfully smiling expression when Vahn smoothly countered, "I see someone I love..."
Since he felt like doing so, Vahn approached, grasped Grayfia's bottom, and pulled her crotch snugly against his as he emphasized his words by giving her a protracted kiss. Then, with a playful smile of his own, he met her gaze and proposed, "Shall we see if this castle has a master or guest room we can make use of~?"
"The only thing I desire more is Goshujin-sama inside me at this very moment..." hummed Grayfia, prompting an immediate change in Vahn's plans. They still entered and explored the castle, just not at that exact moment...
