Chapter 73: Dream
"I should have asked this much sooner, but what are the two of your dreams...?" asked Vahn, sitting behind Rias and brushing her hair with Akeno waiting her turn nearby, both wearing lingerie in preparation for bed.
"Mine is technically two parts," responded Rias, having anticipated the question since that afternoon. Thus, with a faint smile on her face, she relaxedly revealed, "I want to occupy the top-ranked position among the current Young Devils and eventually become the Champion of the Rating Games."
"As for me..." appended Akeno, smilingly lovingly at Vahn with her arms wrapped around her left leg and her cheek resting atop her knee as she revealed, "My dream is to live a happy and fulfilling life with a big, loving family. It's similar to what you said to Kiba. The best way to get back at the Himejima Clan for what they did to me is to find happiness in spite of their intolerance..."
"I'll be sure to give it my all..." affirmed Vahn, his serious expression and tone causing Akeno to giggle in amusement.
Shifting his focus to Rias's dream, Vahn took a moment to collect his thoughts before asking, "How many Young Devils are there above you? You could put Riser on the backfoot despite him participating in actual Rating Games, and he was basically undefeated outside of matches he purposefully lost..."
"That was largely thanks to your equipment," contended Rias, reminding, "Barring the exception that is Sacred Gears, there are a lot of restrictions placed on items and equipment that can be used in official Rating Games. Between my dress, Akeno's Gohei, and Asia's staff, we can likely only use one of them. After all, it wouldn't be very fair to our opponents if the only reason we defeated them was because our equipment was superior. Then the Rating Games would be less about a Peerage's actual capabilities and more so an expression of their King's wealth and connections..."
"Then, if I want to help you achieve your dream, I need to keep nourishing you with life essence and finding items that can raise your Demonic Power directly..." concluded Vahn, not fully registering what he was saying as his mind wandered to various possibilities.
"I'm already growing much faster than I otherwise would be," expressed Rias, half-turning to face Vahn with a playful smile as she added, "But I'm more than happy to accept as much essence as you're willing and able to provide..."
"But you're our last bastion and line of defense. I'm the one who has to lead the charge against our foes..." contended Akeno, wrapping her arms around Vahn, her soft and voluminous breasts deforming against his back as she sensually appended, "I also want Goshujin-sama's essence..."
Though his face warmed and his heart began to beat more quickly, Vahn's expression remained calm as he nodded approvingly and proposed, "Then let's start utilizing the Corridor during lunch...with the time compression of the Frozen Abyss, that gives me nearly seven hours to nourish you both..."
"That sounds amazing~" hummed Akeno, grazing Vahn's earlobe with her tongue before suckling it gently. In response, Rias, not wanting to be left playing second fiddle, turned around fully and raised her left index finger, causing her hair to fix itself into a ponytail as she suggested, "If you want, we can use it now. Sona and her Peerage should be able to keep things in order for an hour or two..." with upturned eyes and a seductive, succubus-like smile.
