Chapter 105: Ange’s backstory 10 (Emotions)
Then, the place was cool.
And the breeze of air blew.
Arol was in his room, tied to the table firmly.
He couldn’t move a single finger or muscle.
He looked at the scientist, who was preparing everything necessary.
Then he took a meat knife to cut.
The edge was so sharp.
He moved toward Arol and said.
"I have nothing against you... but the rules are the rules."
Arol changed his arms into gold.
The scientist cut the place where there was still his skin.
And the arm fell to the ground.
Arol didn’t shout at that moment.
There were dark circles under his eyes.
Immediately, the man cleaved his other arm.
It fell to the ground.
Then Arol gritted his teeth, and blood came out of his mouth.
If he put more pressure, his teeth could have cracked or broke.
The scientist gazed at his legs.
And looked at him.
"Change your legs too. We need the gold."
Arol felt tired and exhausted.
The scientist opened his eyes widely.
Then he closed them.
"I see..."
He removed a syringe.
His glasses shone.
"I knew it. All the kids are the same.
They always disobey one day."
He injected the substance into him.
Immediately, mana radiated out of him.
And his whole body became golden.
The scientist threw a slash at him.
His weapon broke.
And the fragments wounded his jaw.
He looked at him.
And smiled.
Then he held his forehead.
"Maybe it was a bad idea... But."
He walked toward him and bent down.
And whispered in his ear.
"If you stay like this, you may lose your arm forever."
Suddenly, Arol tried by all means to control himself.
And he succeeded.
The scientist then injected him with another substance.
He was still testing the substance.
He was very attentive and observed Arol.
Focused.
And he removed a pen and book.
After that, he threw the pen.
"What am I doing?... Let us just use magic."
He used magic to record everything that was happening.
In a few seconds, Arol’s body became thin.
Thinner and thinner, then dried up.
And his arms regenerated.
The scientist moved out of the place.
And used a magic crystal.
He inserted mana into it and sent a message to someone.
The person on the other side said a word.
The scientist smiled maliciously.
With a calculative facial expression.
As soon as the crystal went off,
he spread his arms widely.
And was laughing slowly and surely.
"I can now use my kid for research...
This excites me."
In Arol’s room, his vision was blurred.
The substance they injected him with was making him feel weaker than before.
Arol couldn’t move a single muscle.
Even opening his eyes was a problem.
He was like half-dead.
And in his mind, he thought of only one person.
Ange. Only her.
Immediately, the maid entered the place.
And untied him.
She saw him in a pitiful state.
She spoke in her mind.
This boy has survived so far...
And still he is suffering even more.
I can’t do anything... apart from nourishing him.
Her facial expression darkened.
And she spoke.
"Even I am not exempt from the rules..."
She opened his mouth and nourished him.
At that moment, the scientist entered again.
He spoke.
"I didn’t expect you to recover."
She turned and only gazed at him with piercing eyes.
The scientist smiled.
"I see... So. I will start with my new patients."
Even to chew food he couldn’t.
And he closed his eyes.
He was unconscious.
His body was floating in space.
His memories were following like a movie in front of him.
He was floating, like moving in air.
He raised his hands toward the movie and said.
"How did this even start?"
His arm moved down.
I can’t remember.
He looked to his feet.
And he stopped floating.
It was as if he was above water.
He walked on it.
Each step he made created a wave.
So where is this place?
Am I dying?
He asked himself.
---
Meanwhile, the others were waiting for him to come.
But they saw nobody. No one else.
Ange waited until the bell rang.
And the maid made an announcement to move to the dining room.
They all moved there, except Ange.
She was calculating how she would do it to see Arol.
She needed to see him.
All questions followed into her mind.
Is he doing well?
Where is he?
Is he sleeping?
Can I see him?
Why is he not coming?
Immediately, she gazed in front of her.
Her eyes shone blue light.
She memorized where each kid was.
Looking for someone with her size.
She saw the person.
She swapped with the person, then another.
Still, she moved out of the line.
She ran toward Arol’s room.
She knew she didn’t have enough time.
She opened the door even though some kids were approaching the place.
She saw the place and remembered.
As she moved toward it and opened the door,
the maid stared at her.
"What are you doing here?"
Ange didn’t say a word and ran toward him.
She held him.
And shook him.
"You can’t die... Here. Open your eyes."
She mistakenly inserted mana into her hand.
As her hand struck him,
a wave of energy moved into his body.
At once, in Arol’s unconsciousness,
he felt something warm touching him.
Ange
He started running forward.
And a white light shone.
Ange!!
She was about to slap him again.
The maid held her arm.
And was about to slap her.
She threw the slap.
Suddenly, Arol grabbed the maid’s dress.
As if he saw her, he woke up.
And gazed at her.
The maid smiled a little and said.
"You two have a few minutes to be together."
She moved out of the place.
And Ange smiled.
A tear moved down her eyes and hit the ground.
"I thought you died...
That you left me alone."
Ange cried.
And tears moved down Arol’s eyes too.
After that, the maid came back and went with her.
As soon as they moved out,
he fainted.
