Transmigration in an Online Game as the Rotten Protagonist

Chapter 98: Ange’s backstory 4 (Progress)

The next day, she opened her eyes.

Slowly.

And looked at the place.

She saw a person sitting down, arms folded together.

As soon as she gazed at him,

the crazy man looked at her and smiled.

Good... Good.

He adjusted his glasses with his fingers twice.

Then he stood up and moved toward her.

Leaned slightly toward her face.

"Congrats."

The maid entered with her food.

She nourished her as usual.

And Ange enjoyed the food.

Then the scientist and the maid moved out.

And Ange stayed there.

For a few hours, on the same spot.

Incapable of moving a single muscle.

Then, at one moment, she raised her left hand up.

And it made a crack sound.

Then the other. Crack.

And she moved off the place.

She looked at the window.

The children were moving out of their respective rooms.

Ange moved out of the place and followed them.

All the children were following a maid.

The same one she saw at the entrance on the first day.

They entered a free room.

There were utensils for all the specific projects

the scientists were working on.

To improve their skills, or adapt them.

All the kids separated into 3 groups, and started.

Group 1: Focused on attacks. Physical combat and others.

Group 2: Learning new things and applying them.

Group 3: A combination of the two.

Kids that were weak.

Kids that would die sooner or later.

And Ange didn’t choose a group.

But she was in the third group.

Suddenly, a kid more imposing than the others stepped forward.

His experiments were based on how potions could reinforce the body.

And his body had acquired almost all the potions given to him.

His bones were stronger than average.

He punched another kid who was in the third group.

The kid fell to the floor.

He gazed at his age mate.

"I don’t want losers here in my group."

Then he moved away.

"Now don’t disturb us anymore."

That genius was Ken

And Ange only looked at the scene without moving.

No shaking.

A perfect observer.

She thought, Should I help him stand up?`

Immediately, the boy with red hair

helped the kid on the floor to get up.

The kid with black hair whispered.

"Thank you."

The boy with red hair nodded.

And they moved together.

At one point, he could walk alone.

The boy with red eyes gazed at her.

And Ange did the same.

She moved toward him.

I need to ask him.

And the boy also walked toward her.

As they were near each other, Ange didn’t say a word.

And the boy didn’t either.

She thought he couldn’t talk.

Then she said, "Can you tell me your name?"

The boy ran away.

And Ange gazed at him.

Is he running away?

She sat down, surprised by that.

Then she concentrated and tried to use her mana.

But nothing happened.

And she felt so tired.

At one point she could hear the beating sound of her heart.

In her head.

A slight pain in her chest.

As soon as she was about to collapse,

the boy with red hair held her.

And he showed her a paper.

Ange tried to read it.

And she whispered, "Arol... AROL."

And she felt more and more tired.

Sweating heavily.

Breathing hard.

Arol carried her to a maid who was walking slowly toward the place.

The maid moved to Ange’s room and gave her medicine.

As soon as she took the medicine,

the maid gave her some water.

She drank slowly.

The next second she felt relaxed.

Then, the maid felt someone was observing her.

She turned, and Arol was behind her.

Looking at them attentively.

The maid moved toward him and said,

"Now she is okay. You can go."

Arol wrote a word on a piece of paper.

And gave it to the maid.

She took it with a smile.

As she opened it, she saw the word.

THANKS

She smiled and said,

"Thanks to Arol. You did great."

After that he ran to his room.

In the place, the genius kid smiled and was provoking another.

Ken said, "I’m the greatest genius here.

You, I command you all."

He was discussing with a girl.

She had long hair.

She was in the second group.

And Ken said with confidence,

"The first always leads the others.

And that first is me."

Then, he grabbed the clothes of another kid.

She only looked at him.

As he was about to throw a punch,

immediately, her group was all behind her.

And some kids from the third group too.

Ken gave up.

And the bell rang.

They all moved to their respective rooms.

The lights went off in the entire place.

And it was at that exact moment that Ange opened her eyes.

She looked at the ceiling.

She had rested for enough time.

What can I do now?

She stared, counting all the objects in the place.

Even though she couldn’t see well in the dark.

But it wasn’t complete darkness.

Then she moved.

And she smashed into something.

Immediately, she stopped walking.

And picked it up.

It was a pen.

She moved around the place.

And fell down.

Luckily, Ange was holding a piece of paper.

She didn’t know how to draw.

But she tried to draw something

that resembled the drawing Arol showed her.

And then,

when she finished, she climbed onto her table.

Which was somehow also her bed.

And slept.

The next day, the number of kids decreased.

A maid entered the place with a new bed for Ange.

Ange gazed at her.

The maid invited her to lie on it.

She was surprised by such attention toward her.

She smiled, as the maid had taught her.

Even though it wasn’t perfect.

But it was better than before.

As soon as she fell onto the bed, it was soft.

In a few minutes, she moved up rapidly.

The maid gave her food.

She ate.

The scientist entered.

"I hope you’re doing well, Ange."

She nodded.

The crazy researcher smiled.

"Good... Now show me how you use mana."

His eyes opened wide, as if they were going to pop out.

Immediately she closed her eyes and concentrated.

A small amount of mana slowly moved out of her body.

For 2 seconds.

Then it stopped.

The scientist held his forehead.

His mouth.

His ears.

Then his chin.

Suddenly, he took out a small book and a pen

and filled up the necessary information.

After that, all the kids moved out of their respective rooms.

They took a bath one after the other.

Then they moved back to their rooms.

After that, Ange and Arol met.

And she gave him what she drew the night before.

A few hours later, Arol came again and smiled.

And at that moment, Ange was on her bed,

thinking about that.

Asking herself questions.

`"Did he see it? Finally. Did he laugh or smile?"`

Then the scientist entered the place with a syringe.

And he sang a little sound.

"My little genius... My kid. What belongs to me is mine... Or you’re—"

He stopped.

Is this even how the song goes?

And injected Ange with that substance.

The normal amount.

But it was still painful.

Just not as much as before.
