"What bloodline did you say you have again? A red dragon?"
    "Yes, the Red Dragon."
    The wizard jabbed a trembling finger at the ancient crest embroidered on Ethan's robes—a colossal, seven-headed serpent wreathed in flames, crowned with horns and dripping venom.
    "You call that a red dragon?"
    Ethan tilted his head with perfect innocence. "Of course. Red dragon, red dragon—looks exactly right to me."
    The man's face turned the color of old parchment. "Don't play dumb, boy! We wizards read the Bible too! That's no dragon—that's the bloody incarnation of Satan himself!"
    Ethan Jones blinked, utterly unfazed. "Satan? Really? Huh. Well... is it at least a cool-looking dragon? Red enough for you?"
