The Seven Sisters and Their Hidden King

Chapter 325: Your Ugliness Has Hurt My Eyes Deeply

John wasn't planning on leaving anytime soon. In fact, he had every intention of staying right where he was and causing trouble. If he didn't, then there would be no purpose in coming to Tony in the first place.

Leaving now would feel like a betrayal—like he had wasted a golden opportunity to stir up chaos, to challenge Tony, and to let the world know that there were forces stronger than mere family names and superficial connections.

Tony, on the other hand, couldn't quite fathom why John had decided to challenge him so openly. His mind raced as he tried to make sense of the situation. Why was this guy acting so arrogant? What made him think he could stroll in here, insult him, and get away with it?

Tony couldn't help but scoff to himself. Was it just because he was Master Bertha's man? Was that supposed to make him untouchable?

A sudden realization hit him.

Tony's gaze shifted quickly to Jacob. He leaned forward, his voice low but sharp. "What did you just call him?"

"Brother-in-law, is there a problem?" Jacob replied smoothly, as if he had said the same thing a hundred times before. He wasn't even remotely uncomfortable with it—brother-in-law seemed like an almost natural term to him at this point.

Tony's eyebrows furrowed as he processed the words. "Wait, wait... are you telling me that John is Master Bertha's little brother?" He paused. "No... your surname is Yeats, but Master Bertha's surname is Carter. You can't be her biological brother. Are you... sworn siblings or something?"

At this point, everything seemed to be making sense—or at least, enough to confuse Tony further. John was Master Bertha's man, Jacob was calling him brother-in-law, which suggested a deeper, more complex relationship than Tony had originally anticipated.
