The Seven Sisters and Their Hidden King

Chapter 277: Hello, Is This the Police?

Anita Moore rarely discussed the dramas of the entertainment industry with her friends. Whenever they saw gossip in the news and asked about it, she would brush it off, saying it was a trivial matter that wasn't worth their attention.

To Anita, it truly was no big deal. If she were ever truly fed up, she could always quit the industry. It wasn't as if she didn't have options.

The two of them finished their meal, and when they stepped out of the restaurant, Anita instinctively glanced around. Her eyes narrowed when she noticed a few suspicious figures hanging around.

"No wonder people call them paparazzi. Their noses are sharper than a dog's," she muttered, observing a few figures loitering near the entrance. She'd seen them lurking earlier when she and John Lopez were still inside, and they hadn't left.

John had already noticed them, but instead of being bothered, he simply smiled. "They really are good at finding you. Even when you're wearing a hat and a mask."

Anita frowned slightly. "I'm guessing they've been following us since we left the set. How about this—I'll give you the key to my apartment in Rochester, and you can stay there for the night, or we can just stay in the same hotel as the crew?"

She wasn't concerned about the gossip. If it weren't for the fear of creating a scene in front of the public, she'd have simply taken off her mask and held John's arm right there.

The real worry was the potential disturbance to her sisters. She was afraid that if John were followed by the paparazzi, they might find their way to her home and disrupt the normal lives of Queenie Yeats and the others.

She handed him the key. "You should take the apartment key. If you can't shake these people off, just stay at my place. I have plenty of space, so it's not a big deal if one of my places gets exposed."
