Chapter 187: A Little Bald
The topic shifted to cultivation methods.
John patiently explained everything to Alice in detail. After listening quietly, she finally said, "Johnie, your method feels a little weird. It doesn't seem effective at all."
It was too aggressive—recklessly siphoning off someone else's vital energy.
John nodded, understanding her concern. "I know what you mean. That's why there's still a lot I need to explore and improve."
Then he turned to Emily and asked, "Miss Wood, are you interested in cultivating?"
"What?" Emily's heart skipped a beat. Her eyes lit up with curiosity. "Yes, of course I am."
She had always remained humble around John.
If she could become a cultivator, at least she could stand a little closer to him. But Alice, still fuming, threw a jab with a touch of jealousy.
"Johnie, how dare you? When I begged you to teach me, you refused. Now you're all smiles offering to teach Miss Wood?"
"Don't get me wrong," John explained quickly. "I just want to test whether this situation only happens to you or if it applies to others too. Emily, do you mind?"
"Not at all," Emily said, shaking her head. She didn't care what the reason was. As long as it meant getting closer to John, she was happy.
