The Seven Sisters and Their Hidden King

Chapter 176: Shoot Me with Your Needle!

The T-classroom was in an uproar.

These college students were already in a foul mood. After all, none of them had volunteered to attend this so-called Traditional Chinese Medicine class—it had been arranged without their consent. And now, seeing that the person standing at the lectern was a young man barely older than them, their dissatisfaction only deepened. They rolled their eyes, whispered among themselves, and sighed in unison.

What was the school thinking?

Faced with so many doubtful and impatient stares, John remained calm. He wasn't offended in the slightest. In fact, he found their reactions expected and mildly amusing.

From the very beginning, he could tell this crowd didn't want to be here. But he was also confident—no, certain—that after just one class with him, they'd change their minds. Not only would they stay through the whole session, but many would look forward to the next.

John's eyes swept across the students. His expression was relaxed, his tone friendly.

"I understand none of you really wanted to come today," he began, his voice loud enough for everyone to hear. "And I also know you're probably wondering whether I'm qualified to teach you anything at all."

"You got that right!" a boy with spiked, hedgehog-style hair shouted from the middle row, cutting him off mid-sentence. "So why don't you do us all a favor and end the class now? Quit wasting our time. I seriously don't know what this school is doing. Total disaster."

The boy leaned back with a cocky grin, a girl in a short black miniskirt perched confidently on his lap. Neither of them looked remotely embarrassed. The girl, in fact, seemed pleased with her boyfriend's boldness, as if his rudeness was something to be proud of.

They weren't just being disrespectful. They were deliberately mocking him.

Emily, standing near the side of the classroom, looked visibly angry and stepped forward, ready to reprimand them. But John calmly held up his hand, signaling her to stay back. His expression remained composed, even amused.
