Chapter 166: Providence College
There were seven amulets in total, each imbued with a Mind Circle enchantment.
Every sister had one.
Only Angela and Anita hadn't received theirs yet—because they hadn't seen each other in person.
The most amusing case, however, was Bertha.
During the three days she spent at home, Bertha kept a constant eye on John. She called him a "little bastard" at every turn, accusing him of harboring shady intentions. The phrase "Little bastard, stay away from me," had practically become her personal slogan.
She clearly held a serious grudge against John ever since he'd thrown her into the lake.
So when he gave her the amulet, she was extremely wary, swearing she'd never wear the damned thing. But—on the day she returned to the Martial Arts League—she quietly tucked it into her belongings.
How adorable.
The principle behind the amulet lay within the Mind Circle etched into the stone. As long as the wearer whispered John's name, he could temporarily perceive their location and sense their immediate surroundings.
If any of them were in danger, he could rush to their aid without delay.
Unfortunately, John's cultivation wasn't strong enough yet. Otherwise, he could have engraved more complex arrays within the amulet to offer additional layers of protection. For now, this was the best he could do.
