Chapter 107 — Big Alan
As expected, the moment Andy saw Emily holding onto another man's arm, he shouted from a distance:
"Emily, who the hell is this guy?!"
Storming over with a dark expression, Andy's gaze burned with jealousy.
He had already regarded Emily as his woman—it was only a matter of time, in his mind, before he had her heart completely. Seeing her now, intimately clutching another man's arm, sent his rage spiraling.
His cold tone made Emily's face stiffen. She replied instinctively, "It has nothing to do with you..."
But the next second, she released her grip on John and added, "Doctor Lopez saved my father's life. He's a benefactor to the Wood family."
Her explanation wasn't meant to pacify Andy—it was to protect John. She wasn't afraid of Andy's jealousy, but she was afraid that John would be dragged into a confrontation with someone far more dangerous.
She had seen John kill the Yellow-Eyebrow Immortal. That alone told her he was no ordinary man. Still, she wasn't sure if he could defeat someone like Alan Brown.
So it was best not to cause any unnecessary trouble for Doctor Lopez.
"Benefactor?" Andy sneered. "Hmph, looks more like he's your lover."
Emily had clearly underestimated a man's jealousy.
