Chapter 69: Paul’s Atonement
After leaving the slum, John didn't head to the Feazer Medical Clinic. Instead, he returned to Greenland Villa.
He hadn't yet depicted the Mind Circle. Today, he was determined to finish it.
To avoid further misunderstandings with his sisters, John left the door unlocked. They wouldn't be home from work for a while, giving him plenty of time to complete the Mind Circle.
The more attention something required, the more difficult it became. The cure for Anny was the same.
It would take less than twenty minutes to depict the Mind Circle for the entire Greenland Villa. But when it came to a stone chip with a diameter of only ten centimeters, the task became far more challenging.
This required a powerful ability to control the mind.
It wasn't until dusk that John finally finished painting the entire Mind Circle. A few minutes later, his eldest sister, Queenie, arrived home.
Seeing John breathing heavily, Queenie raised an eyebrow, grabbed his ear, and scolded, "Can't you control your impulses? I catch you again! This won't do any good for your kidneys!"
"Queenie, you're misunderstanding me!" John protested.
He hadn't locked the door today, yet Queenie had misunderstood again. Was he really that indecent in her eyes?
Queenie retorted, "I don't care whether I'm misunderstanding you or not. In any case, you're not allowed to stay home alone from now on! Or ten kidneys won't be enough for you."
